Surely, after waiting for a short while, the door opened and she was stunned. She momentarily forgot to control her expression as she was taken aback.

Earlier, she was worried and anxious, that was before Russ returned. She didn’t know if Diamond would be shameless to continue wearing that pair of short that was so revealing and showing too much skin. If she were to wear that or change into something similar, then her husband’s gaze might end up focusing more on Diamond.

Although she trusted that nothing will happen, she didn’t feel comfortable having another woman wearing so little in front of her husband. Of course, it was rude to tell another woman how to dress, considering how everything was so lax nowadays.

However, she didn’t expect that Diamond was too cunning. She had changed out of those shorts but what she was wearing made her look even more stunning.

That silver hair was tied in a high ponytail but looked carelessly to the eye. However, those few floral hair ornaments which seemed to match with the background, the silver hair, made her look stunning. From the face only, she looked like a damn fairy. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

Diamond wasn’t wearing any fancy jewelry, just a thin necklace with a small diamond pendant and yet with such a necklace resting slightly above that ample chest, the visuals were quite striking.

Going downwards, she felt relieved upon seeing the length of the dress. At least that daffodil was covered. It was simply too striking for its own good. However, her emotions quickly changed upon seeing that beautiful ankle adorned with an anklet chain. She was wearing sandals, revealing her feet and yet she looked so .....

Penny forced her emotions to go down, suppressing the urge to curse out loud and could only force a smile as she looked at Diamond, not knowing how ugly that smile was looking to Diamond that moment.

Diamond, wanted to laugh inwardly upon seeing Penny’s reaction, but she suppressed that urge and didn’t react much. However, she put on a smile as she said something entirely different, "I was about to head out as well. Thank goodness you came to call me. How about we go? Is Grace awake?"

That in some way gave way to Penny who was feeling all kinds of sorts.

With a forced smile on her face, she responded to Diamond, "she is still sleeping, but when dinner is almost ready, I will have the nanny to wake her up. She must not sleep without eating."

"That’s true. Children should always eat their meals. That’s how they grow."

With Gracelynn’s topic acting as a buffer between the two, the two of them naturally made way downstairs as they talked and none of them talked about their outfits.

With something to talk about, it wasn’t long before they were in the living room. They became seated, and the maids brought some light refreshments as they couldn’t pad their bellies that much when the real meal was on the way.

"When is he coming?" Penny asked curiously, talking about Gael.

Diamond, who had chatted with Gael earlier, while getting ready for this dinner, she responded without thinking much, "he should be here in an hour or so. He should be close. He will call."

"Oh~ that’s good. My husband Russ returned. He should be getting here in a m_" Penny responded with a sigh of relief, before starting to reveal about Russ, thinking that Diamond didn’t know about it.

However, before she could finish, her words became stuck in her throat as she saw him entering the room, looking dashing as always.

Meanwhile, on Diamond’s side, the first thing that came to mind after seeing the man in person was, ’damn, the man is so fine!’ her eyes brightening up, in appreciation of seeing such a handsome mature man.

She also realized that her praise of him after seeing the information and photos Andrea had given her didn’t do him justice.

To describe the man’s allure and handsomeness, she would use several sentences.

The first thing about Russ that was very noticeable, especially when meeting in person compared to photos, it was his green eyes.

They were so deep green, when looking at them, it was as if they could pierce your soul. They conveyed both warmth, and a quiet, watchful intensity.

His face, he possessed a strong jawline, with a well-defined chin. Perhaps, because he is a rancher and more mature than other men she had seen, his chin was shadowed by a light, well-trimmed stubble.

He was probably the first man, he was going to interact closely, at least a handsome one who interests her with a beard. The rest, they love shaving it off. So, the contrast was pretty much clear.

Then her favorite part, his body build. He was lean and powerfully built. Perhaps the harvest of all the manual labor involved in his choice of work. You can’t run a ranch and go around sitting behind a desk. There is a lot of work involved. At times, you wont even need to go to a gym. Why bother, when the cows, horses and other animals will keep you busy throughout the whole year.

Still on the build, she couldn’t help but notice that his shoulders were broad, as for his hands, she would have to check once they shake hands.

His hair was thick, slightly rich brown showing some subtle lighter streaks from the sun.

He carried himself with a confident demeanor yet unpretentious. He was completely different from Penny. It makes her wonder just how two people with such opposite traits could actually stay together for years without open conflict? They must be pretty good at hiding their emotions.

As for the attire, he didn’t scream cowboy at first glance. He simply screamed, ’hormones’ the kind that made Diamond want to jump at him.

How could a man look so damn sexy and appealing just wearing a pair of jeans and black shirt, with rolled sleeves?

Could it be that his veins were popping and making her mind wander in that short time?
