Chapter 199: "Holy Shit, She’s So Freaking Cool!"

[Within Nephilim’s Blackhawk Helicopter, 9P.M. hovering over Centeral Roronora]

From the cabin of the aircraft, the HFF General, Silpheed, Tristan, and Maniae are examining the enemy aliens current movements.

Along with the still closing in, destructive giants encircling the city, the smaller Icemen are making their way into the remodeled basketball arena.

Tristan with his IceEye popped off to 2nd Stage, a sad blue aura, takes a polaroid picture, removes the undeveloped physical image, and adds it to his current small stack on the seating bench besides him.

Tristan: "They’ve been filing into the arena, but none have come out yet.

Do you think there are survivors making a last stand in there?"

Nephilim takes a few moments to analyze the situation and scan for important details to the scene, before answering his special officer’s question.

Nephilim: "That could be the case, young Tristan...or..."

Maniae(confused): "...’or’?"

Nephilim puts the knuckle of his pointer finger to his chin, thinking.

From the overhead view, the red flooded streets are more apparent and clearly shows the amount of blood and city water that has spilt tonight.

Nephilim: "I hate to continue giving the both of you boys hypotheticals, but since I am the General of Erinyes territory, I have to somehow decipher what the enemy’s current and future moves are."

Before Nephilim announces his assumption Arai stretches himself awake and yawns.

Arai:*yaaaawwn* "We back home yet?"

Nephilim: "If I were the villain or enemy, with the ability to control an entire Iceman army, I would make sure something like MamMon’s Forest doesn’t happen again. While also keeping a covered weapons stash within the concerned area."

The blonde haired blue eyed troublemaker moves his way to the focused-on side and peeks out at the scene everyone else has already assessed.

Arai: "Woah, holy shit, that is metal as fuck!"

Tristan shoots an aggravated look towards the teenager’s overexcited reaction to his home city being destroyed.

Tristan: "Thousands of people are dead down there, and my home is being torn apart! Grow the fuck up, you heartless little shit!"

Arai sits back down, picking his ear, unfazed by his superior’s aggravation towards him.

Arai: "Sorry, can’t relate.

Right, Maniae?

... Maniae?"

The red eyed friend to the unsympathetic blue eyed delinquent is scolding his first friend.

Maniae: "That’s not cool, Arai.

I hate to sound like a wuss, but what if our school hideout were to be destroyed? All of our memories and good times for those three years, they would be gone.

Can’t you atleast put yourself in a similar situation mentally?"

Arai sucks his teeth at the declaration of sympathy from his sparring partner.

Maniae looks at the worried Squad 1 student captain, who is back to watching his home vanish.

Nephilim is listening to the more cooperative of the two boys he took in, trying to talk some sense into his delinquent friend.

Maniae: "’Titty’ might be a lame, goody-goody fart knocker, but he’s a sentimentalist. He cherishes precious moments, instead of taking them for granted."

Arai’s blue eyes narrow.

Arai(thinking): *So you’re already turning on me, huh Maniae?*

Tristan doesn’t hear the respectful words from the young, new soldier.

His visual sensors actively reprogramming the organic processor, of the promising HFF soldier/family man.

Nephilim looks from Maniae, to Arai, to Tristan, and finally back at Maniae.

The General sighs with his eyes closed.

Nephilim(sighs): "It’s not your fault, young Arai."

The two young friends swivel their heads and their eyes to the general.

Tristan is still in his heartbroken trance, not looking away from the city.

Nephilim: "You may not realize the situation, but as of right now, from the evidence that has been compiled, if that Katsu boy is controlling this army of aliens, it won’t be too long before he points them towards the Erinyes territories.

Not to mention, along with Dice’s ability, those terrorists could create a hidden portal into the Sister Mountains where they once lived, and allow the Icemen to tear apart our innocent citizens from the inside."

The talk about innocent people being killed makes Tristan remember Stephanie and the crown quadruplets back home.

Then, the incredibly perceptive Tristan spots someone standing on a rooftop below.

Nephilim: "Once we return to the Sister Mountains, there will have to be a safety protocol created in case Erebus City or the mountains are targeted like this."

Tristan stands up.

Arai and Maniae quickly look over at the new expression of conviction from their superior.

Maniae swallows his spit and Arai puts his hands behind his head, raising an eyebrow.

Nephilim proudly smiles, knowing the decision his disciple has finally made.

Tristan: "I really wanted to get his explanation before I severed our friendship, but now, I can’t risk waiting that long.

If I have to choose between Katsu possibly killing Stephanie and the girls, or me killing him to take his eye and ability, and ensure the safety of those I love, I will take it from him.

I’ll also beat Shelly if I have to, I swear on it.

As their protector, I... swear...it."

[Southern Roronora City 9:05 P.M.]

With a pure white SeiõrShield covering him, Katsu is atop of a shorter building and looking around at the streets beneath him.

His Icemen army below, continuing towards their commanded goal, growling, and shifting through the shin high blood water flood.

The Izanagi Captain looks at his watch, the time turning to 9:06.

Katsu(thinking): *Only a few more minutes.

Shelly has to get as much practice against that version of Saku as she can...*

The sounds of helicopter blades spinning above him makes the Yang Vessel shoot a dejected look towards the observing party.

Katsu(thinking): *This must be the moment you turn on me, Tristan.

I’m sorry, but I have my valuable person in life as well.

We both grew up, loving our individual purpose.

That man Nephilim, has successfully tricked you into choosing your eventual fate.

If only you had put the pieces together differently...

Oh well...*

Katsu turns to the North and scans the sky. He sees something making him narrow his eyes and take a deep sigh.

Katsu(thinking): *So that’s the one to shut down his rouge Anjell Eye every time this night has happened?

It’s a lil early, but what can I do?

Not like I could stop it, even if I wanted to...*

The sounds of destruction can be heard in the distance and Katsu 180° turns just in time to witness a bright golden pink "meteor" shoot across South Roronora and stop mid-air, flying back towards the direction it came.

Seeing that makes the Yang Vessel smile a big cheesy nerd grin. His eyes turning into sparkling stars.

Katsu: "There she is!

Holy shit, she’s so freaking cool!

I gotta go get a closer look!"

With his pure white SoulSeiõrShield trailing, he hops across rooftops in the direction of the fight a few miles away.

[3 Minutes Earlier]

*DARKNESS*

*CLASH!!!*

*SNAP!!!*

*CLASH!!!*

*CRACK!!!*

A katana blade, covered in a Golden Pink SoulSeiõrShield, clashes with the hot steel of a SunSword, covered in a Black-Void SoulSeiõrShield. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

The blades disengage, but immediately connect once again.

As Shelly leaves her feet, lunging forward, she using her tooth gripped sword to collide against her opponent’s weapon.

With her passed down Valkyrie fighting grace, she gyrates around the orange blade, creating sparks, and catches Saku on the right side of his head with a clean knee strike.

He stumbles and doesn’t have time to react to a dropkick straight into his chest.

The attack sends the out of control Vessel through a car’s front windshield and Saku lands, sitting in the backseat of the sedan. After shaking his head, he looks back up with his pissed off and heartbroken stare.

However, to his chagrin, a streak of pink and gold flies through the backseat, from the side window, dragging Saku out the other window. He slams into the interior of the door on the way out, and it rebreaks his left arm a bit.

Shelly spikes Saku to the curb with all her might, bouncing him off the cement and following up with one of her iconic "Solo Jumpings".

With each insanely powerful strike from her fists, elbows, knees, shins, or feet, the force makes her enemy stumble back and forth. And side to side.

Her target, almost always seemingly trying to fall to the ground for a moment of rest, but Shelly keeps them up. Juggling them with rising knee strikes, spinning elbows, backflip kicks to the chin, and viscous uppercuts to the torso.

After a complete minute of Saku unable to regain his battle composure, his Anjell Eye uses Esau’s ability, launching a wave of Seiõr to propel his attacker.

But with her prowess and knowledge of the dangerous ability, Shelly spins like a GoldenPink top and *SLICES* through the magnetic field of Seiõr with her own SoulSeiõrShield covered blade.

Surprising both Saku’s Anjell Eye and his human eye, Shelly collides with him and she tosses him into a blood painted fitness gym.

She immediately follows her toss, but before she crosses the street to the half demolished building for a follow up attack, two Saku’s without SunSwords, both with left Anjell Eyes in his current form, both covered in matching Black-Void SoulSeiõrShields, hop out and attack the pursuing woman together, 2v1.

Shelly(thinking): *Wait, but Big Sis Scylia said-*

With her katana still in her teeth, she dodges, blocks, and swerves each of their individual punches, while at the same time taunting the two copies of her uncontrollable Squad 40 member.

Shelly: "Hehe, *BLOCK* so even at that power level, *WEAVE* you gotta make clones to *BLOCK* keep up with me, huh?

*BLOCK*

Good."

She dodges the fist of one clone, grabs it’s arm and flings it towards the other. The two clones *POOF* into black snow on impact and she removes the sword from her mouth with string of spit disconnecting. The confident fighter yells across the street at the gym she tossed Saku into.

Shelly: "Make as many copies as you want, little boy!

If I’m going to be the strongest fighter, whether in reality or fiction, and I’ll need all the accolades I can get!

From beating you!

To beating each one of those DæMons!

Beating every challenger that’s left in this world or within the Æther!"

She puts the handle to the blade back in her jaw.

Shelly(thinking): *I’m going to make Katsu proud...*

From the building, one of Saku’s newest clones flies out, and throws a roundhouse kick.

Shelly catches his leg under her arm.

With a quick, single, spinning swing, almost in the way TayTay swings Icemen at each other, Shelly successfully connects the caught clone into another incoming enemy, making the two broken armed copies of her opponent headbutt at a deadly velocity.

*POOF*...they turn to black snow as well.

More copies of the Yin Vessel, some empty handed, a few equipped with functional copies of his stolen SunSword but unfixable half broken left arms, come charging out of the workout gym.

With skill and grace, Shelly hops over, pirouettes, and uses her tooth gripped katana to block, cut down, or parry every incoming attack from the handicapped clones.

Shelly: "Madame!

Any ov dah Shaku’s with der armsh naa visibry hearling, you can cut down!

Hish Anjell Eye ish buying time to hearl it’s vesserl!"

At the very end of the barely intelligible barked order, one of the Saku clones gets beheaded and *POOFS* into black snow.

Madame Fryer swerves through the small crowd of injured Saku’s, cutting down the obvious clones.

Two more copies, without SunSwords, simultaneously rush Shelly. They land their thrown fists on Shelly’s crossed arms protecting her vital organs, but the force from the two copies launches her, like a home run ball flying off of a baseball bat.

With the utmost trust in Madame Fryer, Shelly half flips mid-air, now upside-down. The sentient sword "catches" her, and stops the blonde warrior from being sent further away.

Shelly rides Madame Fryer back towards her fight, but before she spots Saku, her Valkyrie sense kicks in once again and without word, she back flips off of Madame Fryer, barely dodging an incoming Saku clone from below.

As she free falls, three more Saku’s below are one arm spin tossing, even more copies of himself at her. Trying to hit the free falling target.

In a daredevil display, filled to the brim with pure amazement, Madame Fryer keeps up with her skydiving owner and Shelly uses the supporting weapon as a platform to keep changing directions, dodging each flung copy of Saku, or spin cutting the torpedoing clone down with her tooth gripped katana.

Shelly takes her pick, landing on her flaming blade and Madame Fryer gives a final helpful swing in a fastball special, as Shelly homes in on one of the Saku’s below.

Before she lowers a shoulder into the clone Saku, it *POOFS* into black snow, she uncontrollably flies right through the byproduct, towards the real Saku’s SoulSeiõrShield layered SunSword.

*KRKKRCCHHH!!!*

...

...

...

*DRIP*

...

...

...

*DRIP*

Blood droplets fall into the red flood submerging both Saku and Shelly’s sneakers.

Saku’s black SoulSeiõr covered blade has successfully pierced Shelly’s right shoulder, just barely, but enough to make her bleed.

Her left hand is grasped tight on Saku’s right wrist, preventing him from stabbing through any further.

Without being fazed by the injury, Shelly stares at Saku’s green human eye, from above her soft handle held in her teeth.

Shelly(thinking): *I grabbed his wrist to stop him, but right now, he’s...*

Saku’s right arm is shaking.

It’s as if he’s trying to fight for control of the Vessel from his Anjell Eye, and stopping himself from stabbing Shelly any deeper as well.

With her free hand, Shelly removes the katana from her mouth.

Shelly: "Because of the specific properties to these SoulSeiõrShields, the only thing that can pierce a SoulSeiõrShield, is a weapon coated in another SoulSeiõrShield.

Because of this, the heat of the SunSwords doesn’t do damage to someone covered with their personal Seiõr, only the SoulSeiõr covered blade."

While she talks, Saku’s shaking right arm slowly and reluctantly pushes the blade deeper through Shelly’s right shoulder.

Her hardcore glare on him beautifully transitions to her gorgeous smile, their eyes stay locked.

Shelly: "Thanks for the good fight, Saku.

I knew you wouldn’t let me down..."

Saku’s green, tear-filled eye grows wider in realization.

From out of nowhere, a pure white SoulSeiõrShield covered sneaker comes in with a flying dropkick, making Saku release his grip on the stolen weapon, and the Yin Vessel goes skipping across the red flood, into a neighboring pizza parlor across the street.

Shelly quickly pulls the blade out of herself, and winces.

She puts a hand over her bleeding wound.

However, all pain leaves her as she looks over and blushes from seeing her adopted brother, showing up for the surprise assist.

Shelly: "Katsu, Wh-What are you-?!"

Katsu raises his tattooed thumb and gives her a wide smile.

Katsu: "Now how’s that for a ’Dymamic Entry’!?

Haha!

Do ya get it, Shelly?!"
