Chapter 197: "... We’ll Finally Get That 1v1 You’ve Wanted..."

{South Roronora City, 8:55 PM}

In a city that sheltered 200,000 survivors of the Iceman apocalypse, it’s dark and the horrific growls from Icemen echoes throughout the blood stained city.

In a city that sheltered 200,000 survivors of the Iceman apocalypse, blood drips off all lower surfaces, inside all establishments, and flows through the streets, passing the sewer drains clogged with unrecognizable human remains.

In a city that sheltered 200,000 survivors of the Iceman apocalypse, an entire apartment complex is on fire and small fires are scattered amongst the city from a top view of the once human controlled sanctuary.

In less than two hours, the sheltered 200,000 human survivors of the Iceman apocalypse, have been completely massacred in the alien army’s successful democide.

With there no longer any echoing screams or crying from the city under attack, a 10 foot(3m) tree, gets kicked into the city streets. It lands and rolls over a couple of bloody mush piles of dead humans.

The tree squeezes even more blood from the piles, and it looks like a giant paint roller covering the pavement in red.

A few more punted trees come flying into the defeated city, hitting buildings and landing on turned over vehicles and bloody remains.

Atop the rooftop of a hotel, Saku is still fighting through the pain from absorbing almost 200,000 scared and suffering clouds of killed innocent people. Along with the blood red vengeful clouds of defeated Icemen.

Esau still has Princess Kawaii under his arm, and turns around to see a giant Iceman a few ’20 yard steps’ away. The head of the alien is higher than the top of the 50 foot tall building they are on.

The kidnapper retreats back and behind the DæMon.

Esau: "If we’re done here, how about you use that teleport shit to get us out of here, MamMon!"

The building begins to violently shake and MamMon, from the inside of her hood, gives the man an absolutely distained look.

MamMon DæMon: "First, you disobey my kind efforts reminding you to stay in check, unfortunate Esau.

And now, you dare make demands of me?"

Her piercing blue eyes begin to release a matching hue of blue aura from the iris. The glare makes Esau swallow his spit.

Saku: "Ffffgaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrghhhggghh!!!"

Esau is too busy with the situation and MamMon too angry to look over.

While holding his head, Saku is rolling until he hits the raised edge.

He starts pounding his head on the cement structure, but to his dismay, a thin, all black SeiõrShield starts flowing from the pores of the Yin Vessel, making his self harm, ineffective.

And the building begins to collapse... however, with no conscious visions watching MamMon, Esau, and Princess Kawaii, the three of them are now gone from the spot they were just in, successfully escaping the destruction.

Saku on the other hand, is still absorbing the last 25% of the clouds from the city’s victims while the 50 foot building comes down underneath him. He descends into the darkness, as cement slabs, bricks, and wooden beams are falling with him.

Incoming giant Icemen begin trampling over the demolished structure, but despite all that, the remaining clouds of the deceased continue to bury their way into the rubble to reach their goal.

A muffled, but clearly agonizing scream from Saku can still be heard underneath the debris.

Down the street, the glow of a beautiful pink and gold SeiõrShield illuminates the dark street along with the bright flames of Madame Fryer.

Two Icemen attempt to get the final kill on the dangerous blonde beauty, but their heads roll due to Shelly already smoothly beheading them at Mach speed.

She switches to her charged SunSword, sheathing her less effective blade.

The two final blood red clouds escape the slain aliens and make their way for the destroyed hotel Saku is buried under and now getting trampled by two giant Iceman.

Shelly looks down another street to her left.

She takes two steps back and a billboard sign flies right by her, kicked from the closing circle of Titan-like demolishers.

She moves her attention back towards the destroyed rubble where the final clusters of clouds are migrating towards.

Shelly: "Well they’re still going towards him, so that a good sign that he isn’t dead under there...right?"

The last group of human clouds and the two blood red Icemen clouds disappear underneath the demo sight.

...but on queue, Shelly’s fighting Valkyrie sense kicks in.

She grabs Madame Fryer’s hilt and dives for cover behind a yet to be destroyed building.

The entire crushed building Saku was underneath doesn’t "explode", but gets "pushed away" from the buried young vessel.

The two giant Icemen that were partaking in his stomping, also go flying backwards an entire mile from where they came from.

There is a barrage of cement slabs and pieces that get flung into neighboring buildings, windows, vehicles, and a few smaller Icemen.

From the settling dust, where the hotel once stood and fell, Saku...is angrily sobbing. Within the smoke, with a black flame SeiõrShield blazing off his body, he is growling like a rabid hateful animal, but he’s crying too. His Anjell Eye still in control with it’s unusual form, but now Saku’s angry, tear-filled human green eye matches his pitiful and concerning attitude.

Shelly, with Madame Fryer in her right hand, her charged SunSword in her left, soon pops around from the corner, from behind the building she used for cover.

Shelly(to herself): "What the hell?

Wait-...

Is that...?"

She can tell something still isn’t right with her fellow Squad 40 member.

Saku’s head quickly turns and stares down the long, blood painted city street.

Locked on Shelly.

Not shaken one bit, the Takamagahara MVP takes a step towards him.

Shelly: "Aye yo, Jackass, is that you?!

Where’s Princess Kawaii, and-!"

Too fast, even for her to properly react,

Saku’s after image disappears.

In an immediate surprised reaction, Shelly’s left hand releases her SunSword in an to attempt to protect herself, but it’s too late, a fist covered in an all black SeiõrShield connects with her cheek, also covered in her respective SoulSeiõrShield. It launches her at a 60° angle with a decent velocity.

The dropped SunSword spins and falls into the blood flooded street, making the red liquid boil and steam where the freshly charged sword fell.

As SeiõrSnow is falling around her, Shelly goes soaring over, deeper into the defeated city. While she’s reaching her apex, the Valkyrie descendant recovers from wincing.

She takes a calming breath and closes her eyes.

With Madame Fryer still in her grasp, Shelly meditates.

Her beautiful eyes open again, but instead of soaring over the city with her sheathed weapons and the flaming sword, Shelly is unarmed underneath her iridescent Yggdrasill.

Madame Fryer: "Teehee, I must say, my dear blooming Skalmönd, it’s quite quixotic of you to summon me here while in the midst of the situation we’re in."

Shelly: "I had remembered how you said every 1 million seconds here, is 1 second in real time, so I figured there was an opportunity to ask, if you know anything about what’s happening to Saku.

What’s with that weird SeiõrShield surrounding him?

And what the hell kind of strength does he have because of it?

If I didn’t use my Mach 1 to jump away halfway through his punch, I would’ve been KO’d.

...With one hit..."

Madame Fryer, a caring but concerned expression, looks up at her hanging godly friend, Odin. The half dead Old Norse warrior god, and scholar, is mumbling with blood dripping from the corner of his mouth.

Another droplet of blood falls from the end of his impaled spear and into the ocean beneath him. It causes a small ripple into the otherwise motionless, azule blue water surrounding Shelly’s gorgeous, ever color changing tree of life.

Madame Fryer: "It is the same soul color as him... Odin.

Because men have so rarely shared mutual acknowledgement with Seiõr, not much is known about their progression in particular."

Shelly turns her gaze to the old, one eyed man hanging from her Yggdrasill, reading her life story.

Madame Fryer: "That man, Esau, he has mutual acceptance, and his SoulSeiõrShield is the color of his lover’s. His aura is that shade because of his burning love for the one he lost."

Shelly: "I’ve been meaning to ask you, but what about my SoulSeiõrShield, Madame Fryer?

Why is it two toned?

Why is it gold and pink?"

The goddess carefully raises her hand with orange, yellow, and red painted nails. She wipes a golden strain of hair away from Shelly’s face and admires the identical facial structure as the selfless Valkyrie the goddess once fought beside.

Madame Fryer: "I am just as puzzled about your comrade’s SoulSeiõrShield as you are, blooming Skalmönd.

However, your soul is the same radiance as your lovable Valkyrie grandmother.

I can only assume it is that way, because you are the tree she was hoping to sprout, when she had Lil Læviatian help cast her final SeiõrSpell.

It’s proof your soul has perfectly honed the 8 forms of love, just like her."

Shelly tilts her head in confusion.

Shelly: "...’8 forms of love’?"

Madame Fryer nods and looks back at the reading old man.

Madame Fryer: "Eros.

Philia.

Storge.

Ludus.

Mania

Pragma.

Agape.

And finally, Philautia.

It’s clear, just from being attached to your hip for the past 30 days and nights, you my dear, have a heart that not only holds enough space, but contains all of those distinct styles of compassion."

They watch as the leaves that fall off Shelly’s tree of life, land on the surface of the water. It reminds Madame Fryer of something.

Madame Fryer: "Oh! By the way, ’Seed of Skalmönd’, when we exit your Yggdrasill, please release your grip on me and half flip, if you don’t mind."

Shelly(confused): "Why?"

Madame Fryer: "Tehheehee, it’s a surprise."

Shelly takes a deep breath.

Shelly: "Okay...So after we land, hopefully somewhere soft, we’ll have to navigate back through the city to him.

I’ll have you take out any Icemen trying to intervene with Saku and I once we find him again.

I think I’ll be okay fighting his ’Berserk Form’, or whatever it is, alone.

And besides..."

She smiles as she closes her eyes and opens them back up to the sight of the stars as she reaches her apex, soaring like a golden pink meteor over Southern Roronora City.

She’s still smiling.

Shelly: "... We’ll finally get that 1v1 you’ve wanted, you Jackass Emo."
