Secret Marriage, High-Profile Pampering!
Chapter 1021: Arriving at the Ink Family
Before she went to the Ink Family to understand the situation clearly, Summer Sutton didn’t want to tell him anything.
Watt Bennet’s leg injury, whether it can be cured, is still an unknown.
With so many uncertainties existing, Summer Sutton didn’t want him to be like her, giving hope and ending up disappointed.
Summer Sutton also didn’t want to let him know how obsessed she was with his leg injury.
If, in the end, he truly can’t stand up forever, her current obsession might directly deepen the rift between them.
After thinking it over, Summer Sutton felt it was better to hide everything from Watt Bennet.
...
After spending a night at Morning Garden, she took the earliest flight to M Country the next day.
She had been to M Country before with the sun, not very familiar, but not too strange either.
Upon leaving the airport, Summer Sutton looked at the address Alexander Winslow had found for her, took a taxi, and headed straight to the written location.
Summer Sutton had done some research on what kind of family the Ink Family was before coming here.
The outside world knows the Ink Family only as an ancient European Chinese family, whose ancestors moved abroad long ago, and whose family power developed well overseas, primarily focused on entertainment and fashion.
Whether they were involved in other industries, the outside world didn’t know.
Summer Sutton originally wanted to find out what the Inks looked like to make it easier to identify people when she arrived.
But she found out that, online, apart from that elderly old master of the Ink Family, there wasn’t a single picture of anyone else.
The taxi driver drove her slowly in the direction of the address given by Alexander Winslow.
When they reached the outskirts, Summer Sutton looked out the window, but didn’t even see a house, yet the driver stopped the car.
"Miss, you can get off here; you just walk straight ahead. Everyone living in this city knows the Ink Family’s rules; outsiders can’t get close. Be careful not to violate their taboos when you go in," the driver reminded her.
"But if you drop me off here, how do I get to the road ahead?" Summer Sutton was anxious; she hadn’t spotted the Ink family’s mansion anywhere, how could she find it?
"It’s just around here; you’ll see it if you keep walking ahead. I’ll be leaving now." The driver seemed a bit afraid to linger, threw her a line, and turned the car around to leave.
Summer Sutton had no choice but to continue walking forward.
The place she was in was surrounded by seas of flowers and trees; she looked around, and there wasn’t a single house in sight.
How was she supposed to find it?
Even if she did find a house, how would she know it was the Ink family’s?
Summer Sutton thought if she kept searching blindly, it could take until nightfall.
However, drivers wouldn’t dare wander here, and she couldn’t force them.
Summer Sutton had no choice but to start searching herself.
The surroundings seemed to have infrared alarms, and as soon as Summer Sutton stepped into a garden, a beep sounded around her.
Then, several cars appeared from an unknown direction, and a few men in white military uniforms got out, speaking a bunch of M Country’s language, which Summer Sutton couldn’t understand; she was then taken into the car.
"Wait!" Summer Sutton tried to communicate with the group in English, "I am here to visit Mr. Ink!"
Her English wasn’t excellent, but her basic pronunciation was quite standard.
However, the group escorting her seemed not to understand English.
