Saving the Heartthrob Frenemy
Chapter 286: "You are my man so why not?"
Qie Xieling had always spread his own bed ever since he was ten and his father would always inspect his room in the morning to check. Thus this task was easy for him.
He fought with the fitted sheet for a while but like a true warrior, he finally succeeded. The fitted sheet was a piece of cake though when compared to changing the duvet cover for the duvet. Putting a new one was a hustle but at least he remembered how his father taught him to do it. This is why he preferred comforters. It was because he didn’t have to figure out which ones were corners before trying to fit in the outer. All he had to do was pop the comforter into the washing machine and done.
Qie Xieling threw himself on the bed after he was done. His ass felt weird after being penetrated. It still felt like he had something inside of him. Wanting to know if it was normal he looked for his cell phone but he couldn’t find it.
Thinking it dropped somewhere he laid back down only to jolt up when he smelt the tantalising scent of egg and tomato. He put on his slippers and rushed downstairs. Luo Muchen who was simmering the tomatoes was a little surprised to find that Qie Xieling had run downstairs.
"It’s almost ready," he said and Qie Xieling came to his side curious to see what he was doing. Qie Xieling was good at plenty of things and he was exceptionally smart but he had one weakness and that weakness was cooking. He couldn’t cook to save his life.
His dad tried to teach him but he would always end up with what his nana called poison. In his dad’s words, it was edible poison. It was because of this that he never bothered trying anymore.
Thus getting a man who could cook was his best outcome. He leaned with his back to the kitchen counter and faced Luo Muchen while watching him.
"You look so handsome while cooking," he said and Luo Muchen smiled slightly before asking,
"How is it possible that a rich triad boss would know how to cook such a delicacy?"
Luo Muchen glanced at him and replied, "I don’t. I just know I had to." Indeed he just had to learn. That’s because in the real world, the man he loved liked eating so much and how else would he win his heart if he didn’t learn? When his mother found out why he was learning she encouraged it thinking he had taken fancy to a girl at school. Who would have thought Luo Muchen had taken a fancy to a kid who beat him up in kindergarten over a girl?
Qie Xieling chuckled softly before saying, "I am glad one of us can cook otherwise we would both survive on noodles for a midnight snack." He had already decided that when they got out of this game he was going to lock it down with Luo Muchen. If he had to be a homewrecker then he would be a homewrecker. As long as Luo Muchen wasn’t married it was fair game.
"I will be right back," he said as he turned to leave only to find his cell phone on the wireless charging station. His brows furrowed fairly certain that he had it in his clothes but it didn’t matter. He continued upstairs and Luo Muchen bit his lips. He thought Qie Xieling would take issue with him taking his cell phone but other than his slight reaction, Qie Xieling didn’t seem to care. Luo Muchen was struggling with his insecurities and wanted access to his lover’s cell phone. Yes, it sounded rash considering that they had just confirmed their relationship but he couldn’t help it.
Qie Xieling brought down the dirty laundry downstairs in the laundry room and spent a good amount of time trying to figure out the washing machine.
When he was done he turned around only to find Luo Muchen standing behind him. "I figured it out," he said and Luo Muchen pointed at the jockstrap circling through the glass.
"I can see that. Come let’s eat," he said before taking his wrist and pulling him out of the laundry room.
The two sat on the dining table overlooking the sea. Luo Muchen had put on some slow music and lit candles their flames flickering in the dimly lit room. Luo Muchen was even considerate enough to put a cushion on the chair for him.
Qie Xieling sat down and Luo Muchen pushed in his chair before pulling his ( Luo Muchen’s) chair and sitting right next to Qie Xieling.
"Where is my cell phone?" asked Qie Xieling and Luo Muchen thought,
’Here it comes,’ as he grabbed the cell phone from the wireless charging station.
He gave it to him and was about to explain when Qie Xieling unlocked it and opened his settings. "Can you register your biometrics? If I am busy you can answer for me," he said before handing it to him his expression serious like he meant it.
Luo Muchen, "???" He couldn’t understand what was happening.
What he didn’t know was that Qie Xieling had watched his parents for years. They had even swapped cell phones on accident but it wasn’t a problem. If he was going to be in a committed relationship then he would let his man have access to his life in its entirety. He didn’t want to hide anything from him.
While Luo Muchen was still a little confused but Qie Xieling was already eating. "Mmmm wow... that tastes so good. Mu Mu, you should have been a chef," he said his face stuffed. He was so engrossed in the delicious flavours that he didn’t notice his boyfriend was still stuck in a trance with the cell phone in his hand.
Qie Xieling took a spoonful and brought it to Luo Muchen’s lips. "Here," he said and Luo Muchen glanced at the porcelain spoon in front of him before opening his mouth. Qie Xieling fed him with a smile so sweet that it melted his heart. Qie Xieling could only smile at him like that... only him.
After swallowing the food he asked, "Why?"
Qie Xieling scooped another spoonful of rice and tomato egg while asking absentmindedly, "Why what?"
Luo Muchen raised his cell phone and Qie Xieling replied, "You are my man so why not? You can even have access to my Weibo."
Luo Muchen, "..."
"Here eat some. I hate eating alone," he said while placing his leg on top of Luo Muchen’s.
