Saving the Heartthrob Frenemy
Chapter 265: High intensity exercise
Luo Muchen wasn’t one to shy away from bragging if need be. While walking down the stairs of the apartment building he was busy uploading a picture of him and Qie Xieling. There were no filters to blur out anything and there were no stickers.
This post was a public announcement claiming Qie Xieling. If one were to find out that they had confirmed their relationship yesterday they wouldn’t believe it. That’s because no one in their right mind would do that.
Half way he met Bo Ailun in the stairway. His hair was a mess his eyes red probably from drinking or lack of sleep. Luo Muchen casually greeted him like everything was normal but Bo Ailun’s complexion was as white as a sheet of paper.
"Mo-morning," he stammered a response not sure if he should say something about what happened last night.
If he didn’t say something he felt like he wouldn’t be a good manager, or better yet he wouldn’t be a good friend. He rushed to the railing and clutched it before stopping Luo Muchen who was already a step below.
"Mr Mr Luo," he called out his forehead laced with sweat. Luo Muchen stopped and looked up with a raised brow.
"Don’t break his heart... otherwise I will avenge him," he said the threat sounding more like the hissing of an agitated cat. It was aggressive but the effect wasn’t good. It wasn’t as menacing as Bo Ailun thought.
"And don’t let him eat unhealthy food otherwise I will deal with you personally," he said with a slight quirk at the corner of his lips. His eyes were cold and indifferent making Bo Ailun tremble in fear.
As a grown man, he wasn’t afraid of many things but right now, he was scared off by those cold eyes. He suddenly ran up the stairs as though he was being chased by a ghost.
When he got upstairs he fumbled with the keys a couple of times before sliding them in the keyhole and ran inside shutting the door with a bang.
Breathing heavily he pressed his back on the door. He couldn’t help but wonder how could Qie Xieling find that man attractive. Sure he was handsome... and rich but he always had the ’I am going to murder someone’ look on his face.
He took off his shoes and wore his slippers while calling out, "Xieling?... Xieling?"
He walked down the small passageway still calling out but Qie Xieling didn’t respond. His wild imagination started to act up and he was already imagining a bloody crime scene but when he entered Qie Xieling’s room it wasn’t what he expected.
His room which always had clothes thrown around was neat like someone had picked up after him. The bundle on the bed was sleeping peacefully with no worries in the world.
Bo Ailun walked around to check if he was still breathing. When he placed his finger underneath Qie Xieling’s nose to check for breath, he opened his eyes. When he saw it was Bo Ailun, he asked, "What are you sneaking around for?"
Bo Ailun pulled the swivel chair from the desk to the bed as he replied, "I have been calling your name since I entered through the door but you didn’t respond. I honestly thought you were dead."
Qie Xieling pulled the quilt feeling really tired. "Why would I be dead? I am just tired," he said his voice muffled underneath the quilt.
Bo Ailun really wanted to know exactly what happened between the two of them but he hesitated.
After gathering his courage he finally asked, "You and Luo Muchen?... Are you really together?"
Qie Xieling showed a sweet grin underneath the covers before turning over to face the other side of the room. "Can’t you let me sleep in peace? I am so tired."
"Oh," said Bo Ailun only for his eyes to widen having caught on. These two must have done something that could be considered a high-intensity exercise that’s why he was tired.
"Oh oh wow... you two didn’t waste time, didn’t you? I can’t even get a girl to kiss my cheek after a month of dating yet you guys just...," he said before making kissing gestures with his hands by pressing his fingertips together, "hooked up on the first night."
His face was suddenly hit by a pillow while Qie Xieling yelled, "Go make yourself useful elsewhere."
Just as he was about to get up Jolie entered the bedroom holding a plastic bag. She had just found out that the coast was clear so she passed by the pharmacy just in case Qie Xieling’s waist was sore and chrysanthemum blossomed.
She tossed the plastic bag on the bed while saying, "How is your waist? Sore? You should have told him to go easy on you because you have a race coming up."
Bo Ailun, "..."
Qie Xieling, "..."
"How can a girl have such dirty thoughts and be that straight forward," complained Bo Ailun and Jolie jumped on the bed before saying,
"That’s sexist. A girl can have a filthy mouth too."
She turned to Qie Xieling and pulled up the covers while saying, "Come, I will apply medicine for you."
Qie Xieling, "..."
"No, get off my bed," he said covering his head with the quilt in embarrassment. He didn’t even go that far yet Jolie wouldn’t shut up about it.
"I have medical skills. If it was a female nurse offering would you refuse the help?" she asked while lying on her side with her elbow digging into the mattress.
"But you aren’t a nurse," said Qie Xieling and Jolie pointed at Bo Ailun,
"Then he can do it. Arent you two best buddies?"
Bo Ailun, "???"
"Do you know how terrifying his boyfriend is? I would rather not die today," refused Bo Ailun and Qie Xieling couldn’t stand it anymore.
"We didn’t sleep together so there is no need," he said as he sat up but his t-shirt suddenly slipped at his shoulder revealing tons of hickeys. He looked like a ladybug except that the spots were deep red and light red. It was as though he had gone for cupping therapy just on his neck and shoulder.
"And you didn’t sleep together? I will believe that when pigs fly," said Bo Ailun a little terrified. Qie Xieling bruised easily but still. He wasn’t sure if what happened last night was torture or sex.
