Romantic Medical Immortal
Chapter 527: Visiting the Old Residence to Meet the Elders
Upon hearing these words, Qin Shuhui’s smile faded and she said indifferently, "Your grandfather and I won’t go. We will never forgive Kong Jingshan in our lifetime, but he is still your father, and you can’t sever this blood relationship."
Kong Lingwen nodded, already guessing that her grandparents wouldn’t attend.
"Yang Cheng and I will be staying at the Kong Family’s old residence for the next couple of days. You and Grandpa can stay here. If you need anything, just call me."
Just as she finished speaking, the doorbell rang.
Kong Lingwen hurriedly stood up and opened the door. As expected, it was Yang Cheng who had rushed here through thick and thin.
He carried a unique scent of medicine, which wafted into Kong Lingwen’s nostrils, causing her lips to curve upward involuntarily.
"You came back quite early. Is Xiao Xiao alright?"
"She’s fine now. Her illness is completely cured."
Yang Cheng felt somewhat exhausted. After the great expenditure yesterday, he had only dozed for an hour before hitting the road.
"Xiaochen is here! You two chat, I’ll head inside first."
Qin Shuhui greeted them with a smile and quickly left, creating space for the two to be alone.
With only the two of them left in the living room, an inexplicable awkwardness arose.
Upon entering, Yang Cheng leaned directly against the sofa and closed his eyes to rest. In just a day, stubble had appeared on his chin.
Kong Lingwen approached, gently touching his head, only for him to grab her hand.
"Catching you taking advantage of me, didn’t I?"
Yang Cheng opened his eyes, gazing directly at Kong Lingwen.
He had just noticed that Kong Lingwen seemed to be increasingly feminine, unlike before when wearing women’s clothing appeared somewhat odd.
"Let go. I just saw you were tired and wanted to call you to rest in the bedroom."
Kong Lingwen struggled but didn’t break free; instead, she was pulled into his arms by him.
The soft bust pressed against his chest, releasing a soothing fragrance into the air, and Yang Cheng felt slightly enchanted, taking a deep breath near her neck.
"Tomorrow is the birthday feast. If you’re this shy, your dad will notice."
Yang Cheng spoke softly, his large hand wandering over her delicate body, from her slender waist to her shapely buttocks.
"I’m not shy at all, just afraid it would be awkward if Grandpa and Grandma saw."
Kong Lingwen retorted, stiffly refusing to admit her shyness.
"Grandma just went inside to give us some alone time; she won’t be out to disturb us for a while. I see you’re embarrassed, your face is so red."
Yang Cheng lifted her chin, revealing a beautiful face tinged with blush.
"That’s because it’s hot!"
"If you’re not shy, then prove it to me."
Yang Cheng continued to coax, aiming to make Kong Lingwen take the initiative.
"Fine, proof is proof!"
Not to be outdone, Kong Lingwen straddled Yang Cheng, their bodies closely pressed together, distinctly feeling each other’s contours and warmth.
"I hurried back to intensify our relationship. With grandparents around today, it’s inconvenient to do anything else, so we can only practice kissing."
As Yang Cheng spoke, he held her head and kissed her.
In the silent living room, the intimate sound of their lips and teeth intertwined could be heard, while the elderly couple inside leaned against the door, eavesdropping. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
Yang Cheng was well aware but didn’t expose their sneaky listening. He scooped up Kong Lingwen and strode into the master bedroom.
For two hours, they indulged in tender caresses and lovemaking on the bed, until Yang Cheng, overwhelmed by fatigue, fell asleep.
Upon waking again, the sky had darkened. Kong Lingwen whispered, "Yang Cheng, wake up. My dad sent a car to take us over. We have to go and stay there tonight."
"Your dad is too eager. He wants to observe us more closely!"
Yang Cheng smiled helplessly, knowing that Kong Jingshan still didn’t fully believe they were together.
"My dad is sharp-eyed; any slip will surely be noticed by him. When we’re at the old residence, we must mind our words and deeds. We only need to manage for three days before we can leave."
Kong Lingwen didn’t want to stay at the old residence either, primarily because of her stepmother and that annoying stepbrother.
"No problem for me, just don’t give anything away."
Yang Cheng was quite confident, as he already had an interest in Kong Lingwen. Pretending in front of the elders was no big deal.
Half an hour later, they arrived at the Kong Family’s old residence.
Yang Cheng gazed at the palace-like mansion, nearly dropping his jaw. No wonder the Kong Family was a Zhonghai elite, with such rich heritage surely built over a century of wealth.
"Let’s go see Grandpa first. He’s happy to hear I brought a boyfriend home, the only one I truly care for in this family."
Kong Lingwen got out of the car and led him straight to a tranquil courtyard inside the grand estate.
"Grandpa is elderly and dislikes being disturbed, living inside the courtyard where he rarely goes out. If not for my dad insisting on throwing a birthday feast, Grandpa wouldn’t bother hosting one."
"I figure your dad wanted an excuse to bring you back, realizing other excuses wouldn’t work, using the old man to persuade you."
Yang Cheng analyzed.
Chatting on, they entered the courtyard.
"Grandpa, I’m back!"
As soon as Kong Lingwen entered, her steps became lively, pulling Yang Cheng directly inside.
At the time, Elder Kong was still enjoying his tea. Hearing the voice, he immediately stood up to see his granddaughter with flowing long hair and dressed in a gown, nearly dropping his jaw.
"Lin... Lin Wen?"
"It’s me! Grandpa, we haven’t seen each other for so long. Surely you can’t recognize me!"
Kong Lingwen pouted, inadvertently displaying the charm of a maiden.
"It’s not that I can’t recognize you; it’s your drastic change, Grandpa hardly dares believe it!"
Elder Kong laughed and earnestly examined her.
Within just a few months, his granddaughter had undergone a profound transformation, with the lingering melancholy between her brows seemingly dispersed, and she appeared much more lively and cheerful.
Kong Lingwen shyly smiled, introducing Yang Cheng beside her: "Grandpa, I’m in love. This is my boyfriend Yang Cheng."
"Your boyfriend?"
This left Elder Kong even more shocked. He knew that from adolescence, Kong Lingwen saw herself as a boy, consistently liking girls.
Though dissatisfied with Kong Lingwen’s stance, he could understand. After those experiences, disappointment in men led to preferring women, which was forgivable.
However, being from an older generation, Elder Kong saw Kong Lingwen’s mindset as warped and always hoped to guide her back, yet clueless on how.
Now it seemed miraculously healed!
"Wonderful! That’s great! The young man is tall and handsome, and you two are well-matched!"
Elder Kong was elated, immediately beckoning Yang Cheng forward, scrutinizing his appearance and demeanor.
As long as Kong Lingwen liked men, Elder Kong would accept any identity, especially given Yang Cheng’s good looks and youth, leaving him thoroughly pleased.
