Richest Rag-picker
Chapter 117 - 116: Your Service Here Is Truly ’Not Bad
Watching the men arguing until they were red in the face, Fang Chenyi let out a sly laugh. He then reached into his pocket, pulled out a small booklet, and casually waved it in front of them.
"Heh," he said. "There’s something I forgot to mention. I have a pilot’s license myself. And it’s not just for helicopters, you know."
Hearing their Huaxia boss’s words, the foreigners all froze. Their gazes immediately shifted to the small booklet in his hand.
The moment their eyes landed on the booklet, everyone’s jaws dropped. Old Char, in particular, let out a gasp.
"Oh my god! This is an ultimate pilot’s license! No way... Boss, you have to be joking! A license that lets you fly carrier-based jets? There can’t be more than ten thousand of these in the whole world!"
Hearing Old Char, Fang Chenyi smiled smugly. He casually plucked the sky-blue license from Old Char’s hand and spoke in a nonchalant tone.
"Heh, let’s be low-key about it. Even though I have a license, I suppose I still need a flight team. Since you’re all so eager, how about you each refund me two hundred thousand US Dollars? From now on, you’ll be in charge of the plane’s maintenance."
With that, Fang Chenyi coolly picked up his woven bag, turned, and headed for the trash cans in front of the villa.
"Oh my god. I’m really starting to wonder what kind of badass our boss really is."
Hearing Old Char’s words from a distance, Fang Chenyi glanced back and shrugged. He held up his woven bag. "No, no. I’m just a scrap collector."
Of course, Fang Chenyi had no intention of telling them he’d just received this super pilot’s license as a bonus reward from the system.
After clearing out the trash cans in front of the door, he’d somehow earned nearly one hundred thousand yuan. Fang Chenyi felt a deep sense of satisfaction. ’Who knew the trash from my own house was recyclable? Looks like I’ll have to train Bai Menghan to be more of a spendthrift. Tossing out clothes after one wear, dishes after one use, watching a TV and then... uh... never mind that last one. That might be a little *too* wasteful...’
After he finished collecting the scraps, Fang Chenyi suddenly remembered that he’d just received eighty-seven million US Dollars, seemingly out of nowhere.
A jolt of excitement shot through him at the thought. He pulled out the black card, turning it over in his hands, but his brow furrowed slightly.
’Keeping my own money in a foreign bank... isn’t that just letting the foreigners profit off me?’
Deep down, Fang Chenyi was quite the patriot. ’I could just deposit this money in a domestic bank, couldn’t I?’ he thought. As the saying goes, keep the good stuff for your own.
With that in mind, Fang Chenyi folded up his woven bag, got into his sports car, and headed for the nearest branch of the Agricultural Bank.
When he got near the bank, he saw from a distance that there were no free parking spots. He shook his head, parked his car in a space on the side of the road a short distance away, and then walked toward the bank with the woven bag tucked under his arm.
As he crossed the road and approached the bank’s entrance, Fang Chenyi’s eyes were habitually drawn to a trash can by the door. Perhaps because of the sheer number of customers and the sweltering heat, the bin was overflowing with plastic bottles, with even more scattered on the ground around it.
He instinctively shook open his woven bag and walked over to the bin.

[Master has collected one mineral water bottle. System reward: 100 yuan. The reward has been deposited into Master’s bank account. Please check for receipt.]
...
After a quick round of trash collecting, he pulled out his phone to check. In just that short time, his bank account had grown by 8,600 yuan.
Feeling quite pleased with himself, he was just about to roll up the woven bag when his eyes swept across the bank’s glass doors. He noticed several people inside staring out at him.
Startled, Fang Chenyi quickly willed the woven bag to appear stuffed to the brim.
He then hoisted it onto his shoulder and headed inside the bank.
However, the security guard, who had been watching Fang Chenyi’s activities, saw him start heading inside and quickly held out a hand to stop him.
"Uh, excuse me. No scrap collecting allowed inside!"
Fang Chenyi stared at the arm blocking his path, momentarily taken aback. He gestured to his own clothes and replied, speechless.
"What’s the problem? Does your bank have a rule that says scrap collectors can’t come in to do business or something? And hey, man, you work at a bank. You should at least have a little bit of sense! Look at what I’m wearing... a limited edition Armani casual suit..."
The moment Fang Chenyi finished speaking, it wasn’t just the security guard; even the customers inside couldn’t help but stifle their laughter. ’That scrap-collecting pretty boy sure is handsome,’ they thought, ’but he’s got some nerve. A limited edition Armani? It’s got to be a knockoff...’
The security guard rolled his eyes, exasperated.
"You can come in to conduct business, sure, but you can’t collect scraps inside. So, sir, what business did you need to take care of?"
"I’m making a deposit."
The security guard wasn’t really in the wrong, so Fang Chenyi didn’t make a fuss. He simply pulled out his card for this bank and handed it over.
The guard saw that Fang Chenyi did, in fact, have a bank card, so he didn’t stop him further. But when he saw it was just a standard-issue card, he took it, swiped it at the ticket dispenser, and said dismissively,
"Then you’ll have to sit and wait. It’s busy today, you’ll probably be waiting for over an hour. And hey, kid, leave that bag of yours by the door. Don’t bring it inside and bother the other customers."
Without even looking at the ticket, he handed it to Fang Chenyi. His eyes, however, darted uncomfortably toward the woven bag in Fang Chenyi’s hands.
’The woven bag looked clean, sure, but it was still full of bottles from a trash can.’ 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
Fang Chenyi took the ticket but frowned. "So you’re saying I can’t bring this in?" he asked, annoyed. "Why can they bring their bags in?"
The guard glanced at the customers inside with their large bags, a disdainful sneer on his lips. ’Yours is full of trash,’ he thought. ’Of course you can’t bring it in.’
At this, Fang Chenyi let out a dry laugh.
"Heh. Your bank’s service is really something else. I think I’ll take my business elsewhere."
With that, he tossed the ticket into the trash can next to the guard and turned to walk toward the Construction Bank next door.
