Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World
Chapter 894: The Highest Will Isn’t Selfless
Three months later.
It had now been three months exactly since the Hive Heavenly had been conquered by the Lions.
The Hive Heavenly Realm was fully controlled and integrated into the Alphaverse.
Same with the Horror Heaven.
But those were the only two...
For now.
Those who were sensitive on the outside. Those creatures with Fortune powers, those that could read fate and predict a little about their future, felt the disturbance.
There was a certain stillness to everything happening around the universe right now, and it was very clear that this was the calmest the universe had ever been.
This was the calm before the mother of all storms descended.
The gods...
They have begun to interfere.
Time was running out.
The Highest Will was stirring.
He was about to make a decision.
It was either that the rules were upheld, or he wipes everything off and waits for the races that follow the rules to come forth.
Not many knew about the decisions that were happening, or not yet happening, in the high places.
Those who knew, including Kael and Seth, could easily map out what the Highest Will may be aiming for.
It was just a guess as they could not say they knew what the Highest Will was truly thinking but after contemplating it for months, many of them had come to some reasonable conclusions on what may happen in the future.
If the Highest Will wipes out everything and everyone, as the Steward of the Universe, he would be exempt from everything negative.
However, the universe will lose all its races. Meaning that it would lose all the basis for it to create new Primordials.
And if there are no Primordials, the Highest Will and his Rules will be the most dominant force in that empty universe.
In such a case, two things could happen, neither of which would greatly favor the Highest Will.
As Katari thought about all that the All-King had told her, she couldn’t help but think to herself.
She sat on the void in an empty spatial fold in the Draconic Heaven. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
Katari was not alone in this strange place of hiding. Although it was a spatial fold that would barely be a few inches wide in the outside world, on the inside, it was wide enough to hold an entire fleet of arkships.
"Is this enough?" Katari said out loud, her tail swiped from left to right behind her as she adjusted her crossed legs.
Although she was surrounded by an entire fleet of lion and hyena arkships, she was completely alone in her own space.
Katari’s mind was drifting between two different things.
Because Kael had told her about the schemes that the gods may be trying to play, she had made it one of her assignments to decipher and create countermeasures.
At the same time, she was currently planning to lead one of the most devastating attacks that would ever hit the Draconic Heaven in its history.
Katari knew that some things she was doing now would determine just how well Kael and his forces would be able to weather the coming storms.
She no longer saw her fight with the Dragons as something personal, but a means to an end.
Her greatest concerns now lay with the elusive Highest Will who had not even shown himself yet.
Right now, just like the other few who were privileged to know what may come, she was trying to see if she could plan her way out and create good methods to survive.
Naturally, most of the issues lay with the Highest E since he was the one who had the ability and method to wipe everything away.
But Katari had begun to think from another angle.
She wasn’t sure yet Katari guessed that there were two ways the Highest Will could benefit from the end game, which was enough to push him to consider wiping everyone out in the first place.
One just had to look at the aftermath of such a possibility.
With nothing left of the Universe, the Highest Will and its Law of Rules would be the only significant power.
There would be no races, so there would be no Primordials at all to balance things out.
Two things could happen at that time. Controlled evolution or Law conversion.
The Main Universe was ownerless and standard, no law was higher than the other here.
In the aftermath of the Highest Will’s cleanup, the universe would naturally create new races to populate its void.
It was a natural process that the Highest Will didn’t need to facilitate itself.
But if that were to happen, a new set of races would be born into a universe where the Law of Rules was the most dominant.
It wouldn’t matter that there were other Primordials appearing at that time. The survival of the fittest would be played out finely in that time.
Naturally, only those who could follow the rules that the Highest Will set would be considered fit to continue surviving.
This would create countless generations that would evolve to follow the rules.
The Highest Will would have carved the universe into the perfect obedient thing he wanted it to be. And he wouldn’t even need to do much other than just exist as the singular strongest being.
As for the second scenario, it was much darker and more serious.
If the universe were wiped out now and the Highest Will became the only being with that level of strength and influence, he would be unbeatable.
The Highest Will was currently the Steward of the Universe, meaning he was strong. But he could technically be stronger.
With no opposition from the universe itself, the Highest Will could theoretically convert the main universe into its personal Alphaverse and make the Law of Rules the alpha Law.
Not only was it possible, but it was starting to seem like that could be the main reason for it happening right now.
Before Kael had broken through and become an immortal, everything the gods knew about an Alphaverse was based on theory.
No one had been allowed to leave the Main Universe to confirm for themselves.
Now, Kael has done it. The Highest Will, with how smart he probably was, could easily identify the best way for him to achieve the same thing for himself.
This was no longer a matter of the Highest Will getting rid of the chaos to stabilize the universe. That was a selfless ideology that Kael had never believed in once.
He always knew that there was something much deeper going on with the Highest Will.
The way he tolerated some rules being broken, the way the gods always talked about the stability of the universe being the highest priority...
Sense was being made here. Perhaps, those things could have been the main goal in the past, to keep the universe safe and free from friction.
But now, that was no longer the case. Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.
The Highest Will wasn’t trying to stabilize the universe, Katari had concluded.
He literally wanted the universe to be as chaotic as possible so that he could have a legitimate reason and enough borrowed power to wipe it all out and reshape it into his image.
Power had always been the goal, it had only been strayed from after so many eons of no progress.
As for why the Highest Will had not yet just wiped everything away and why he was still waiting for a legitimate reason? Katari did not know.
All this was just a very well-placed guess that she had constructed with the information she had.
She was sure that if she had more information, she would be able to map out a significant part of the Highest Will’s grand scheme.
For now, all Katari had was this powerful guess which she had already shared with the All-King.
The only thing she could do now was plan and act on those plans to make sure the Lions came out on top.
The game was getting deadlier as they understood the motives behind their opposition’s actions.
This was not going to be easy.
Suddenly, Katari, still sitting cross-legged in the center of the fleet of hundreds of thousands of arkships, opened her eyes.
She moved. Her fingers twitched as if she hadn’t moved them for months, her hair began to sway and her form straightened up.
"Oh, I see," She muttered, having just received a signal that another phase of the All-King’s grand plan had been completed.
As she moved and straightened herself in the spatial fold, all the arkships around her began to churn to life as well.
Hundreds of thousands of arkships lit up with the power of stars and magic, they were preparing for battle.
The spatial fold, held up by multiple distortion field generators and space lionhearts, began to collapse. Soon, their location would be known to all their enemies within Draconic Heaven.
But it didn’t matter.
[The Law of Transportation has been successfully integrated into Systems. The Law of Location has been integrated...
The Law of Space...
The Law of Observation...
The Law of Money...
The Law of Connection...
Future integration of other laws has been made possible.
