Chapter 39: 39- Location

"Where were you?" Lina pressed her lips in annoyance, "I’ve already picked up caramel sauce. Just one tub was left. That too in early hours. Can you believe it?"

"Thanks. Some junkie tried to bully me..." She went to the croissant aisle and picked up chocolate and strawberry-filled ones."

"You’re buying me breakfast," Lina reminded her, walking to the cash counter, "I sacrificed my sleep for you."

"You always say that... but never pay..." Sienna playfully nudged her elbow into Lina’s ribs, "And we both know you’re an early riser."

"Nooo!" Lina said with fake irritation, "I wake up late, and I’m poor!" She bumped Sienna’s shoulder lightly.

With a giggle, Sienna handed over her card, "I’m about to be wealthier soon. I’m Levisay’s daughter-in-law... Oh... spend as much as you want..."

She tipped her head back towards the ceiling and stuck her tongue out to one side. They were at the cash counter with just two men away in the queue when Lina slapped her forehead, "Can you grab a blueberry jam jar? My grandma loves them."

"Sure..." Sienna walked back to the farthest aisle and started looking for the blueberry jam.

"Where is it? Have they run out of it?" She asked herself before finding it in the upper shelf. She looked around for the staff who usually roamed around in Joe’s red t-shirt when that junkie’s voice came right behind her.

"Hey," He whispered, "I’ve got your daughter in the back alley," Sienna’s reaction was mixed.

Shocked, because she didn’t have a daughter.

Heartbroken, because she once had a daughter.

And then alert, because that druggie might be holding someone’s innocent kid with him.

"What do you mean..." She pinned him with a hard look, "Whose daughter is it?"

He laughed, showing his dirty, yellow teeth, "Yours. Told ya!" 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚

Bastard!

She held his shirt and looked for Lina near the cash counter. She couldn’t take the risk of informing her, nor was her friend visible from there.

She pulled the crazy man out of the back door that opened in a deserted alley, "Where is the girl?"

"Oh. You mean your daughter?" His creepy smile increased her irritation, but she tried to hold her patience.

"Yeah. My daughter," Sienna, stopped herself from rolling her eyes, "Where is she?" she demanded.

A low, creepy laugh broke from his lips as he took her by surprise, pinning her to the wall, "Not born yet. Hehe. She is in my dick. If you want her, you need to get pregnant for me."

First, Sienna was taken aback by the way he pushed her. And when he pressed his arm against her neck to hold her still, she thought she was dealing with a kid.

"Oh, sweet little boy. Look at you! Tsk!" Her wide grin made him confused and nervous at the same time.

Ignoring the pressure on her neck, she held his jaw with one hand and shook it a little, "So you brought me here to ra*pe me? How cute!" The man didn’t know how to react. He was expecting some kind of struggle.

Sienna’s eyes wandered around until she spotted a metal bar under a dumpster, "You know what, my love?" She batted her eyes playfully with fake innocence, "You chose the wrong woman. You know why?"

When he didn’t speak, she chuckled, and her voice dropped to a whisper, "Because I’m someone who is born again to teach creeps like you a lesson. Ready, my darling?"

The man gulped hard.

Seeing Hunter making his way to Sienna’s room made Brian chuckle, "No breakfast today?" He asked him, pouring milk into the bowl.

"I want to have it with her, mate," He knocked on Sienna’s room door.

Every morning after three knocks, he used to open it just to take a look at her.

"Is it some kind of obsession?" Brian teased him from the kitchen.

"Shut up. I told you, I just want to check on her," He said, knocking for the second time.

"Ah. Check on her! Right!" Brian rolled his eyes and started cracking the eggs, "Don’t you have something more convincing? Like she is your boss and it’s your duty to keep her..."

Hunter placed his index finger on his lips to make the butler quiet, "Shut up," He mouthed silently, and then knocked for the third time.

Brian had a grin on his face when he started whipping the mixture. He looked up when Hunter slowly turned the knob and opened the door quietly.

"Hey. Sugar?" He called Sienna, and Brian wanted to laugh, "This man..." He muttered to himself, "He is babysitting his dear wife and demoted me to a butler position from a bodyguard. He is crazy..."

He had to stop himself when Hunter suddenly screamed his wife’s name, "Sienna! Sugar!"

"Hey, hey. Tone it down..." Brian hit the bowl on the counter, "She must be in the bathroom... oh..." He got quiet when he saw Hunter opening the bathroom door.

"She isn’t here. Where is she? It’s Sunday today," Hunter rushed to the stairs to bring his phone, "We need to go find her, Brian..."

Brian’s expression tightened, "Just give her some space, Hunter!" He took off the apron in annoyance and got to the key holder, where the car key was missing.

Odd. I placed it here last night.

He thought with his palm running over his head.

"Brian. Come on. You haven’t even reached the car!" Hunter raced down the stairs and headed for the front door.

"Make it quick..." Hunter stopped dead in his tracks, "Where is the car?" He mumbled and looked over his shoulder.

Poor Brian was too stunned to react. He just shrugged, "It... it was right there last night..." He moved ahead to stand beside Hunter.

Both of them jumped when Hunter’s phone started buzzing, and MENACE appeared on his phone screen.

"Hello, sugar. Where are you?" He asked her sharply without giving her a chance to speak.

"Is it Hunter?" He heard a woman’s voice on the phone. It seemed like she was crying.

"Ye...yes..." Hunter felt his heart sinking. Where was Sienna?

"Who is this? And where is..."

"Hunter!" The woman kept crying, "I’m... I’m Lina...Sienna’s friend...Hunter..." She sobbed, testing Hunter’s patience, "You... you need to come, Hunter... I think..." her voice cracked, "I think Sienna murdered someone..."

For a second, Hunter didn’t move.

He thought he had misunderstood the words. For a moment, the world around him seemed to go still, "Send me your location," His voice suddenly turned ice cold, "I’m coming. Stay where you are."
