Reborn as a Mind-Reading Empress
Chapter 622: You Look Dashing in Your Outfit
"It does. You look too dazzling, My Empress," Ferdinand kissed the back of her hand.
[His Majesty must be embarrassed to admit how much he liked it. That’s an understatement of his reaction.] Carla thought.
[His Majesty was speechless for several seconds with lips parted! We definitely succeeded!] Irene was delighted as well.
[I’m sure even the ministers will be charmed and won’t be too mean. Especially since Her Majesty is still young and she has done so much for Valeria already.] Eunice was thinking about the situation.
After all, Arabella might indeed get fried by the ministers.
They were all noble daughters so they knew it wouldn’t be as easy as just sitting there listening to people talking.
Arabella was already used to it though. And this time, she had come prepared and with her husband by her side.
Eunice and the others knew that the court sessions could be hard. Thus, they tried to make Arabell look even more pretty than they usually do.
They said it was so that the ministers would feel bad if they tried to be mean to her.
Thus, Arabella asked them to make her look mature and imposing so that they would not look down on her just because she was young.
After all, the ministers could not be taken with just smiles and being pretty. She would use her authority if necessary. Because not everyone can be won over by smiles and gentleness.
Some people could only be won over by strength. And that was exactly how Ferdinand ruled them.
If she had to, she would show them that she would support how her husband does things.
After all, in her past life, a lot of the officials thought they could manipulate her so they tried all sorts of things to control her because they thought she would be scared of them.
It was not until she learned to be fierce with them that they finally stopped.
But in this life, she would do it right from the start if she had to.
Thankfully, her maids understood that she did not want to be looked down upon and dressed her well.
[Her Majesty looks so regal and mature in this attire.] Rendell thought.
Arabella liked that. It was perfect for the image she wanted to portray.
She wanted them to stop thinking of her as nothing but a naive princess who would be unable to do anything.
[I was about to wonder what kind of deed I had in my past life to have a wife as gorgeous her.
But then again, I was never reincarnated yet since I haven’t experienced death myself.
Perhaps the gods finally decided to reward me after they did not allow me to die for so long and even awoken me from my supposed slumber.
My wife is such a catch.
This look would shut up the ministers who kept saying she was young and immature.] Ferdinand thought as he smiled at Arabella with such pride in his eyes.
Arabella could not help the heat rising to her face at such thoughts from her husband.
She was overwhelmed that Ferdinand who had already met so many capable and pretty people still thought of her as a catch.
"Oh, my. Thank you," Arabella smiled at her husband as they began walking.
Seeing his expression made her happy. If he was the one who thought she was pretty or dazzling, that was all the reassurance she needed.
Of course, she was also grateful to her maids who thought of her highly in that matter. She just hoped no one would be like the former Renee or rather Evania who was obsessed with it.
"...."
[I kind of don’t want to show her to anyone else looking like this.
Ah, but she’s always pretty.
What should I do?
I don’t want to show her to other people at all.
I wish I could use all kinds of magic here.
I want to make her tiny and put her in my pocket.
That way, she can listen to morning court sessions without showing her face to them.]
"Haha," Arabella laughed when she heard Ferdinand’s thoughts.
She should be behaving more formally since she was in her official empress outfit but she could not help her laughter. Thankfully, they were still in the hallway close to her room.
She recalled that he was indeed the one who first thought of hiding her from everyone right from the start.
And he was rubbing off on her. She was having the same thoughts about him now and then too.
Ferdinand himself always looked so dashing when he was wearing his complete outfit as the emperor.
If she was not already used to seeing him in his emperor outfit, she would have been so mesmerized and just stared at him for several seconds just as he did to her.
Thanks to her decades of watching him from afar, she was able to control her reactions. But her heart was still beating wildly though.
"What’s so funny?" Ferdinand held her hand.
"Your thoughts," Arabella replied as they walked.
[Right. She could hear me. I want to listen to her thoughts too but it’s forbidden to use that magic so carelessly now. We used to be able to use it much more freely eons ago.] Ferdinand complained in his thoughts.
’Oh, so they were able to use it freely in the past?!’
Arabella was relieved that they could not use it now.
If they did, he would know about her secrets. She was not ready yet to talk about the past with him.
"You do not have to. I’ll tell you what I’m thinking," Arabella said and looked up to meet his gaze.
"Then, tell me," Ferdinand demanded.
"You look so dashing in your outfit," Arabella beamed at her husband and he stopped walking.
He was wide-eyed at her words as if this was the first time she praised him.
Arabella had praised him a lot already though. But she was not giving too much since once she began giving him praises, all Ferdinand could think about was going to bed with her.
"I do?" Ferdinand sounded confused and overwhelmed at the same time.
