Bella Green raised her eyebrows, smiled faintly, and her demeanor was aloof and indifferent.

"Your money, however much it is, is yours."

This sentence clearly defined the relationship between the two.

It’s not that Bella Green was heartless, showing no leniency.

But for this suddenly appearing father, she inexplicably doesn’t like him much.

That feeling is impossible to articulate.

Even though Matthew Lawrence always had a doting look in his eyes, she still couldn’t feel any sense of intimacy.

Instead, she felt quite estranged.

A man in a black suit walked in with a stern face, his presence overwhelming Matthew Lawrence, his gaze extremely cold.

He didn’t speak but sat down beside Bella Green.

Bella Green was slightly startled, "Why are you here?"

Mason Bennett withdrew his gaze, and in an instant, those eyes cold as winter thawed like the early spring.

"You rarely come back; how could I not be here."

Bella Green curled her lips into a smile and her eyes lit up.

After Mason Bennett finished speaking, he looked at Matthew Lawrence, and his expression turned cold again.

"Mr. Lawrence wants to take Bella to the Lawrence Family?"

Matthew Lawrence looked at him, still with that gentle and kind smile.

"I do have that intention."

Bella Green had thought Mason Bennett would definitely disagree, but unexpectedly, he nodded.

"If Bella is a child of the Lawrence Family, she ought to go."

Bella Green furrowed her brows slightly, somewhat perplexed by Mason Bennett’s words, but chose not to embarrass him by refuting, remaining silent and listening.

Matthew Lawrence’s eyes flickered, then turned to the quiet Bella Green, his thoughts swirling.

"But Bella doesn’t seem to want to go."

Matthew Lawrence sighed helplessly.

Mason Bennett draped his arm over the girl’s chair back, glancing sideways at Bella Green.

"You should go and have a look."

Listening to his persuasion, Bella Green was once again baffled, unable to discern what he meant.

However, since Mason Bennett said so, it must make sense.

Thinking it through, Bella Green nodded, "Fine, but I’ll only stay for two days."

Not that her obligations with the crew couldn’t be delayed long, but she herself didn’t intend to linger at the Lawrence Family.

After the meal, Bella Green declined Matthew Lawrence’s offer to escort her.

In the private room, Bella Green looked at Mason Bennett with a face full of frustration.

"Why did you want me to visit the Lawrence Family?"

Mason Bennett ruffled her hair, smiling.

"If you’re the daughter of the Lawrence Family, visiting once would be understandable."

Bella Green furrowed her brows, having some difficulty comprehending his words.

"If you’re not, then there’s really no need to go." Mason Bennett’s eyes narrowed slightly as he continued.

His voice carried a profound implication.

Bella Green immediately sat up straight, her expression tense.

"You’re saying..."

Mason Bennett shook his head, "The paternity test results will be out tomorrow; what the outcome is, I don’t know either."

Bella Green furrowed her brows slightly, actually having had this thought before.

Even though much evidence pointed to Matthew Lawrence being her father, she still felt it necessary to verify.
