Rebirth in the 90s: Melting My Devoted Mr. Iceberg
Chapter 1070: A Teacher’s Talk
As soon as he spoke, Teacher Xiao understood completely. With Jiang Xue’s grades, she’s obviously the first in her year. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
So, he said straightforwardly, "Let’s go with the principal’s plan, and I’ll notify the subject teachers."
Seeing Teacher Xiao act so cooperatively, Principal Huang was satisfied. As for the subject teachers, he’d informed some already while others needed Teacher Xiao’s attention.
With Jiang Xue’s matter taken care of, Principal Huang finally relaxed. He thought, with this arrangement, Jiang Xue shouldn’t refuse to come over for dinner anymore.
Time flew by, and soon it was time to receive the report cards. Jiang Xue arrived at school early and headed towards the classroom.
As soon as she entered the classroom, she felt the eyes of her classmates on her, somewhat unusual.
While she was puzzled, Liu Yiming walked over to her and said, "Jiang Xue, congratulations on getting the first place in the final exams."
Jiang Xue was slightly stunned, then smiled and said, "Thank you!"
No wonder her classmates were looking at her differently; it turned out the exam results were out. Well, besides herself, most classmates lived at school, so they must have known the results immediately.
In fact, Jiang Xue was the last in the class to know her grades.
"Where can I see the report card?" Jiang Xue asked. Liu Yiming pointed to a corner of the blackboard and said, "The grades are posted there; you can take a look yourself."
Jiang Xue thanked him again and went to check the grades. When she saw her subjects’ scores, she smiled again.
It seems effort isn’t wasted on the willing heart; the results were quite good. Next, she could use these grades to negotiate conditions with the principal.
Last time, the principal promised her that if she ranked in the top twenty, she wouldn’t have to report to school daily anymore.
Thinking this, Jiang Xue didn’t rush to find the principal but sat at her desk, waiting for the homeroom teacher to come for the semester’s final summary.
At nine, the homeroom teacher entered the classroom just as the bell rang. Upon entering, his gaze fell on Jiang Xue, which puzzled her.
Fortunately, after a short while, the teacher retracted his gaze and began talking about summer vacation and assigning summer homework.
After finishing, the homeroom teacher looked at Jiang Xue again and said, "Jiang Xue, come to my office for a moment."
"Okay!" Jiang Xue nodded, packed up her things, and headed to the homeroom teacher’s office with her backpack.
The office had only the homeroom teacher inside. Jiang Xue announced herself before entering.
"Teacher Xiao, what’s up?" Jiang Xue asked with a smile as she stood in front of the homeroom teacher.
"Sit down!" Teacher Xiao gestured for Jiang Xue to sit and then said, "Jiang Xue, you did well this time; I’m happy for you."
"Thank you, teacher!" Jiang Xue smiled and thanked him, then listened to Teacher Xiao say, "However, you shouldn’t be arrogant; keep striving."
"No worries, Teacher Xiao; I’ll keep working hard."
Teacher Xiao gave Jiang Xue a deep look and, seeing no arrogance on her face, felt relieved. After a few words of encouragement, he asked about her plan to take a long break next semester.
Jiang Xue repeated what she’d told Principal Huang to the homeroom teacher and assured him, "Don’t worry, Teacher Xiao, I won’t fall behind in my studies."
