Rebirth: A Cinderella's Counterattack
Chapter 951 - 931: Making a Delivery
Qhianqhian also didn’t know how Tang Tianyi stored them, and she didn’t ask, not even about the changes in the room.
She always felt that the more she asked, the more dangerous it would be to know too much.
As the final exams approached, there was a tense atmosphere in the school, especially in the library study room, where there were basically no seats available.
Fortunately, in response to Cong Rong’s call, both Qhianqhian and Qin Nuan got up early to secure a place to study.
They silently stared at the textbook as if it were written in an alien language, occasionally sending messages to Elvis asking about key points, leading to a very fulfilling experience.
In the blink of an eye, the finals arrived. Qhianqhian’s exams were a few days earlier than Qin Nuan and Cong Rong’s. Just as they were about to start, Qhianqhian was already on holiday.
But as close sisters going through thick and thin together, Qhianqhian took full responsibility for the food in the dormitory during this time.
After everyone had completed their exams, Qhianqhian and Qin Nuan saw everyone off before heading back to the apartment.
Tang Tianyi didn’t have exams now, so he was also in the apartment.
Fang Youyuan didn’t have anywhere else to go, so he was also in the apartment, and as for Luo Yanran? He did have things to do, but he was also called to the apartment.
"With the school on holiday, can we start discussing the first batch of preorder sales?" Qhianqhian blinked. "I’m heading to Elder Deng’s soon, and time’s tight, so let’s get moving."
"First batch?" Qin Nuan curled her lip. "It’s the second batch."
"Huh?" Qhianqhian looked at Qin Nuan in surprise.
"Did you forget what you sent to Second Uncle?" As a public figure, Luo Xihan naturally maximizes benefits, like using the Spirit of Jade to enhance her networking.
Qhianqhian was momentarily stunned, then nodded. "That batch was officially announced as being given to those with personal connections to the behind-the-scenes boss."
"Aren’t there personal connections?" Luo Yanran curled his lip. "Niece, son, daughter-in-law..."
"Stop it." Qin Nuan gave Luo Yanran an exasperated look and set aside her snacks. "How are we selling the second batch? How much are we selling?"
"Find a few small ones to start with, then raise the price later," Qhianqhian chuckled mischievously with a face like a shrewd merchant. "Five in the first batch, one spot for Second Uncle’s connections, one for Fourth Brother’s, and for the rest... let me check with Elder Deng and Elder Xiu, maybe give one more."
"And also my Second Brother’s side," Qin Nuan said with a sheepish smile. "Earlier, my Second Brother told me that the company where he works as a legal advisor, its boss seems very interested."
"There’s still one more, I suggest we give a nod to the underworld," Tang Tianyi said. "After all, with Nine Heavens Pavilion’s unique offerings, some protection is still needed."
Qhianqhian nodded. "Alright, you guys go ahead and work it out amongst yourselves, ask around, I’m heading out."
She happily slung her backpack over her shoulder, tucked two velvet boxes in it, and left.
Qin Nuan looked at Tang Tianyi, and Tang Tianyi looked at Qin Nuan, staring at each other for quite a while.
It was Luo Yanran who couldn’t take it anymore. "What are you two doing?"
"Aren’t you going to follow?" Qin Nuan and Tang Tianyi said in unison.
Then, both of them stood up in confusion, and when they looked out the door, Qhianqhian was nowhere in sight.
They were at a loss for words.
"She’s not a little kid, she’ll be fine." Luo Yanran said, patting the two on the shoulder to comfort them as he saw their worried expressions.
Qin Nuan sighed.
Hopefully.
Tang Tianyi furrowed his brow tightly but still nodded.
Qhianqhian happily took a taxi to the Close Courtyard, only to see Elder Deng sitting at the door, drawing circles on the ground with a stick in frustration. As she got closer, she saw he was indeed drawing circles and immediately had a ’black line’ on her forehead. "Grandpa Deng, are you drawing a circle to curse me?"
Upon hearing her voice, Elder Deng didn’t even raise his head, just sped up his circle drawing, looking very angry, like a child having a tantrum.
Seeing this, Qhianqhian sighed, "Looks like Grandpa Deng doesn’t have time to care about me, so I’ll head home..."
Just as she was about to turn and leave, a hand grabbed her sleeve.
Elder Deng stood up with anger on his face. "How could you say that? It’s been so many days and you don’t come out? Luo Xihan got hers a long time ago, didn’t she? You don’t even know where you left me!"
Qhianqhian pulled a pouting face of grievance at his words. "Grandpa Deng has really misunderstood me."
Elder Deng just blew his mustache, glaring at Qhianqhian, waiting for her explanation.
"You see, there’s only one transaction each month, so I have to wait a month to come over, right? And I don’t have your contact information." Qhianqhian counted on her fingers as she said this.
"Hmph, if you wanted to know, wouldn’t you have found out?" Not to mention, wouldn’t Luo Guohui, Old Man Luo, know where the military district is?
"The most important thing is," Qhianqhian slowly smiled, "I was busy with exams before, I just started my holiday."
On hearing this, Elder Deng remembered this little girl was still a student, and awkwardly stamped out the circles on the ground.
If it wasn’t for hearing those cheerful footsteps bounding around, he wouldn’t have been so childish.
"By the way, Grandpa Deng, isn’t there a transaction today?" Usually, the gates would be wide open, but today they were closed, which was a bit strange.
Elder Deng shook his head. "With the New Year coming soon, there aren’t any."
Qhianqhian nodded, somewhat understanding. "Then what are you doing here?"
As soon as the words were out of her mouth, Qhianqhian saw Elder Deng glaring at her with bull-like eyes, immediately lowering her head awkwardly.
Elder Deng was so annoyed, was it even necessary to ask?
After returning home, he realized he hadn’t given any contact details to this girl, but when he went to Nine Heavens Pavilion, he didn’t see anyone from the second floor that day, so he didn’t dare to ask casually.
So when the day came, he’d rushed over.
"Alright, alright, let’s go, come on, I’ll take you to my place, and I’ll give Elder Xiu a call."
Elder Deng helplessly led Qhianqhian to the street corner, where a military-plated car was parked, and Qhianqhian clicked her tongue in envy.
The driver was a young man, who was quite surprised when he saw Elder Deng bringing along this little girl, but he hid his curiosity well.
"Give Old Xiu a call, have him come over." Opening the car door and letting Qhianqhian in first, Elder Deng then got in, and Qhianqhian, full of apologies, heard Elder Deng instructing the man in front.
"Yes, sir." The man replied with clear and articulate words.
Elder Deng turned to Qhianqhian. "This is my duty soldier, Xiao Sui, get to know him."
Qhianqhian quickly put on a serious face and looked at the driver in front. "Hello, Brother Sui."
Elder Deng nodded with satisfaction. "Xiao Sui, this is Miss Luo, Qhianqhian from the Luo family, Luo Guohui’s granddaughter, get to know each other."
The young man called Xiao Sui turned back, seriously looked at Qhianqhian, and nodded. "Hello, Miss Luo."
The phone on the side was connected, and after the message was conveyed to Elder Deng, the voice on the phone shouted loudly, "Wait for me!!!" followed by the busy tone.
Qhianqhian blinked, completely puzzled.
