Rebirth: A Cinderella's Counterattack
Chapter 924 - 904: The Eighth Element, Named Chaos
"You all just stay put." Qhianqhian rolled her eyes irritably, "Do you think you stand a chance of seeing anyone?"
Even if they followed, they’d probably be stopped by those little guys.
The crucial point is that without anyone looking out for them outside, who knows what might happen? So for safety, the best thing is to let them stay put and not create a fuss.
Though reluctant, Qin Nuan and Luo Yanran understood Luo Qianqian’s concern, so they had to agree.
That day, coincidentally, they had morning classes. As soon as they stepped out with Elvis, they saw a familiar figure.
Luo Qianqian snorted, patted Elvis, and took the backpack, "Go do your thing."
Seeing Tang Tianyi catch up from behind, Elvis nodded, "Be careful, if anything comes up, call me." With that, he turned around and left without hesitation.
Tang Tianyi had been sitting solemnly at the back of the classroom during the lecture.
If you’re just sitting there, it’s fine, but he just had to stare at Luo Qianqian, making it impossible for him not to notice.
Tang Tianyi naturally helped Luo Qianqian with her backpack; he knew the things inside were important to her.
"Miss Luo, Mr. Tang." Sawadera Juusaburou looked at the two of them without any surprise, bowed slightly, but his attitude was evidently much improved.
"Why are you here again?" Luo Qianqian looked disgusted, "Don’t you know that interrupting a date is unethical behavior?"
D-D-Date?
Sawadera Juusaburou looked dumbfoundedly at the two of them. Had they not guessed that he would come, were they waiting on purpose?
Even if they were, they shouldn’t say so, things easily obtained are not cherished and not respected.
Tang Tianyi squinted, cautiously watching Luo Qianqian, moved his gaze after two glances, and looked at the man.
"We have a saying, ’Good dogs don’t block the way.’
Luo Qianqian burst into laughter hearing Tang Tianyi’s words.
It was unfortunate, but Sawadera Juusaburou understood, "Calling me a dog? I offended Miss Luo last time, our leader invites you two to the café at the entrance."
Café? A public place, he indeed wasn’t afraid they’d make any moves.
Nodding, they followed him.
However, Tang Tianyi squinted his eyes tightly at Sawadera Juusaburou’s back leading the way.
"What’s wrong?" Luo Qianqian noticed his strangeness and immediately frowned.
Lightly shaking his head, Tang Tianyi looked towards that back, swapping to Qhianqhian’s right side.
Originally, he was always on Luo Qianqian’s left, fearing someone might harm her hand.
Gently taking her right hand, they walked silently.
Feeling the itch in her palm, Luo Qianqian suppressed it with effort, her face full of calmness while shock filled her heart.
He’s about to die.
Those were the words Tang Tianyi wrote in her palm.
After repeatedly making eye contact with Tang Tianyi and seeing the determination in his eyes, she finally believed.
"Why is it so cold in winter?" Luo Qianqian pretended to sigh gloomily.
"Because if winter isn’t cold, it’s not winter." Tang Tianyi responded cooperatively.
But his hand didn’t stop, continuing to write.
Death aura surrounds.
Taking a deep breath, Luo Qianqian didn’t say much, observing Sawadera Juusaburou carefully, but could only see that he carried many hidden weapons...
With a sigh, they had left the school gate. Seeing the café right opposite the school, Luo Qianqian said earnestly, "Wait for the green light."
After all, no matter what, he was still a guest. If something really happened on their turf, it would be hard to explain.
Sawadera Juusaburou had no intention of running the red light, patiently waiting for it to change.
The road crossing went smoothly, but for some reason, Luo Qianqian still felt uneasy.
When Sawadera Juusaburou pulled open the café door, she chose to stand further away, fearful that the door might trigger an explosion to kill them.
However, nothing happened.
Inside the café, Sawadera Ichiro was sitting in a very visible spot by the window, guiding Luo Qianqian and Tang Tianyi over. Sawadera Juusaburou left.
And Sawadera Ichiro looked at the two, "Ah, you’re here."
"We wonder what business the leader has with us?" Luo Qianqian asked calmly as she sat down.
Sawadera Ichiro smiled kindly, "Just felt you were easy to get along with, thought I’d invite you to share a meal with an old man."
"But it wasn’t like this last time, was it? Last time, you weren’t so nice..."
Before finishing the sentence, Sawadera Ichiro furrowed his brow, "Last time?"
After finally completing the training, where’s this last time coming from?
"Yes, wasn’t he also sent by you to find us?" Luo Qianqian nodded toward the direction Sawadera Juusaburou left.
Sawadera Ichiro was taken aback for a moment, then chuckled, "What you say is true, I’m getting old, my mind isn’t as sharp, I often forget things."
"A cup of Blue Mountain and a glass of milk, please." Tang Tianyi calmly ordered coffee and looked at the elderly man across, "May I ask what brought you to us today?"
"Or maybe, what kind of matter warranted seeking us?"
Luo Qianqian and Tang Tianyi belonged to the team opposed to Sawadera Ichiro’s, far from expected to meet at such a time.
Moreover, though others may not know, Sawadera Ichiro was well aware.
Namely, that their side only had those two contestants.
"Just wanted to casually chat with pleasing juniors, no need to overthink." Sawadera Ichiro waved his hand with a smile.
Anyone who believed such a statement wouldn’t be sitting here, Tang Tianyi simply watched Sawadera Ichiro calmly.
And as for Luo Qianqian? She was already daydreaming, staring blankly at the two dramatically disguised individuals, not even blinking.
Qin Nuan wore gender-neutral attire, with a black knit hat, and hadn’t forgotten to wear glasses and a mask with a scarf.
Luo Yanran had a similar outfit, with only the hat and scarf colors different, and there was that chestnut-colored long curly hair, its source unknown.
Were these two serious?
Yet those two earnestly linked arms, walking towards the café.
Unable to stop twitching at the corners of her mouth twice, Luo Qianqian’s attention returned to the table.
"Do you know about Chaos?" Sawadera Ichiro asked, eyes fixed on the two, a gaze void of relaxation.
"That Ancient Divine Beast? Chaos? The devourer of all things?"
"Are you sure you’re not talking about Taotie?"
Luo Qianqian and Tang Tianyi’s banter left Sawadera Ichiro unsure.
"Are you referring to the dumpling Chaos or the Divine Beast?" Luo Qianqian looked at Sawadera Ichiro calmly, her eyes revealing nothing.
"I’m speaking of the one that creates from nothing and turns something to nothing, The Eighth Element, Chaos." Sawadera Ichiro articulated each word carefully.
"Then I don’t know. The Eighth Element, our teacher never covered that." Luo Qianqian looked nonchalant, her heart an empty silent space, void of thoughts.
It wasn’t until they exited the café that Luo Qianqian withdrew from that state, her face showing sheer disbelief.
It was the first time she realized, The Eighth Element, called Chaos!
