Rebirth: A Cinderella's Counterattack
Chapter 1451 - 1431: Darkness Before Dawn
"So, has it succeeded or not?" Feeling the violent tremors of the earth, Qhianqhian lay on the ground, her expression visibly excited, her eyes blazing, and her heart pounding fiercely.
Tianyi protectively held Qhianqhian’s head in his hands, his eyes tightly fixed on the direction over there.
This was just an experiment, but without needing to waste their own country’s resources, they were more than willing.
After all, time was limited, and if these things could solve the problem, they were more than happy.
After swaying a few times in place, the Exotic Beast crashed to the ground, making a loud noise. Luo Qianqian watched the situation quietly, somewhat puzzled.
Bear in mind that bullets and bombs were ineffective, so why did chemical agents work? This was utterly baffling.
Tianyi, however, continued to stare intently in the direction of the Exotic Beast and only after the ground’s vibrations lessened a bit did he softly say, "It must be the acid damaging their skin. They died from their own bodily fluids’ corrosive abilities."
"Eh? Is this considered suicide?" Qhianqhian, upon hearing this, immediately released her spiritual power, but soon she froze, her mouth opening wide in disbelief.
"Have I been discovered?" The man with the silver mask stood behind the Exotic Beast, feeling the sudden presence of surveillance on him, and calmly raised his head, the whites of his eyes full of a dark red color, evidently indicating he had become someone from the Otherworld.
Calm and composed, he did not dodge, just stood there quietly, and after a long silence, he raised his hand, waved gently, and turned to leave.
After he left, a black light shot into the sky, and a dark red light flashed through the Gate of Another World in the sky. The black mist dove into it desperately.
Luo Qianqian did not hesitate for a moment, leaping up and sprinting madly towards the Exotic Beast.
For some reason, she had the feeling that person was so familiar. Who could it be? Why help her? Why does her heart feel so heavy?
Tianyi was momentarily stunned by Luo Qianqian’s reaction but quickly snapped back to chase after her.
Amidst the dumbfounded crowd, five men leaped into action, sprinting frantically in Luo Qianqian’s direction.
"OMG! A Deity from The East!"
A group of people, in rapture, bowed devoutly in the direction of their departure, as if they truly were deities existing in the world.
Even if told that these people could destroy the world, they would believe it without hesitation, yet they promptly reported the preceding chemical warfare results.
As long as they could fight back, it was a blessing for them; it meant the deaths of so many wouldn’t be in vain.
The black flames mercilessly struck the Exotic Beast, and in an instant, most of the surrounding Exotic Beasts had disappeared. In mid-air, Tianyi’s foot slipped, and he fell downwards in the urgent situation, unable to pull out a spare Blood Bag in time.
Yan quickly stepped forward to catch him, pulled out a Blood Bag and poured it into his glove, saying, "Quick!" Then he took out a jade-green Pill and fed it into Luo Qianqian’s mouth, his face full of seriousness. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
Luo Qianqian was sprinting towards the back of the Exotic Beast at that moment, even though the Exotic Beast didn’t seem to notice the tiny figure, it was obvious that if they rioted, Luo Qianqian would easily get hurt.
The simplest solution they had was Tang Tianyi.
So naturally, he used the Soul Devouring Nether Fire to solve it instantly.
Tianyi swallowed the Pill and immediately felt a warm flow coursing through his body, sweeping away his earlier fatigue.
He cast a deep glance at Yan, pulled out a Blood Bag, and continued to unleash his power on the remaining few Exotic Beasts without mercy. Catching the black mist was a skill they were well-versed in.
"Who are you!!!" Faced with the empty space ahead, Luo Qianqian’s face was filled with confusion.
Why help her? Even though she hadn’t met the person before, she had always felt that the closing of the Otherworld gates was related to that person.
But, if he was a savior, why was he avoiding her while doing all this? And those eyes clearly shouldn’t be of someone who would help them, so why...
"Qhianqhian..." After resolving the issue, they found Luo Qianqian kneeling on the ground, a look of bewilderment on her face, her large eyes filled with questions, yet unable to comprehend.
"What’s wrong?" Tang Tianyi frowned slightly. His foresight ability had already been exchanged for the necklace on Luo Qianqian’s neck, so if he couldn’t predict her fate, what use was that ability?
Thus, even Tang Tianyi had no way of knowing what really happened.
"Let’s go to the next place." Luo Qianqian suddenly stood up, her face full of determination: "As long as it’s not the last stop, we should still be able to handle it..."
She felt it, the truth only awaited—she knew nothing about this person, and had no means to investigate. The current global situation was the priority.
Time was racing by every second, and even if they were moving at full speed, they understood that it was impossible to close all the Otherworld gates within three days. Yet afterward, they hardly ever took action, solving problems almost instantaneously upon showing up, making even Wei Guang and the rest sense something was off.
It was evident that someone was building up Luo Qianqian’s reputation; just what were the Otherworld beings thinking?
But seeing the increasingly grave expressions of the six, they couldn’t bring themselves to ask.
When the second-last Otherworld gate closed, Luo Qianqian clearly saw the silver mask nod lightly at her, as if saying, see you later.
What on earth was going on!
Don’t even mention that in these times, those flying around the world were few, and planes going directly into danger were barely theirs. They saw no aircraft ahead, yet that person always showed up ahead of them...
The further they went, the gloomier the sky became, more sinister and eerie, sending chills down their spines.
After closing the previous Otherworld gate, only the Island country remained. Yet it was evident they couldn’t reach it in a short time...and clearly, the end of the fabled ’Three Days of Darkness’ was approaching.
Even though she detested the Island country, she couldn’t just watch it fall and allow the world to be engulfed by the Otherworld... She couldn’t do that...
Faster, hurry, wait for us...
The countdown to three days, yet it still arrived—they were above the sky, powerless.
Five, four, three, two, one, zero...
A sliver of moonlight pierced through the clouds, casting a fleeting light onto the aircraft, only to be shrouded again by the gathering unknown clouds, becoming even more sinister and terrifying.
But compared to the previous black, cloudless darkness, the clouds were slightly more comforting.
Is it going to rain?
