Rebirth: A Cinderella's Counterattack
Chapter 1422 - 1402: Battle with the Exotic Beast (Part 3)
The dagger hovered gently in the air, causing Luo Qianqian’s heart to tremble and beat violently.
But soon enough, after the dagger moved in the air for a while, before moving two meters away, it fell with a clatter into the remnants of the plane at their feet.
The man’s face flushed red, looking at Luo Qianqian with shame and apologizing.
Luo Qianqian shook her head slightly; she had thought too much.
Moreover, wouldn’t a beast full of corrosive liquid have similar things in its belly? Even bombs couldn’t withstand strong corrosive erosion.
Feeling uneasy, she raised her head and looked towards Yan and Mo in the sky, who were attacking the head and tail of the beast, gritting her teeth tightly.
Even though they were her friends, not natives of this world, they were trying their best to help her protect it. What right or reason did she have to easily give up?
Things that aren’t afraid of corrosion...
Luo Qianqian’s eyes swept over everything on the ground; all minerals, sand, soil, mud, stones, metals were corroded, as were synthetic plastics and rubber.
Even glass, which should only be affected by hydrofluoric acid, wasn’t spared, let alone wood or fabric.
Her spiritual power scanned the cluster of white-clad people, and her eyes lit up.
Didn’t they discover at the very beginning that soul-infused objects couldn’t be destroyed?
If those infused objects are left unattended, they naturally won’t activate, but what happens if there’s someone present?
Looking eerily at the group of people over there, if it weren’t for their manipulation, she might not have had such a nasty idea.
She silently took out her phone, paused for a moment, and then put it back. Why use one’s own national resources when working abroad?
"Go do whatever you need to do." Luo Qianqian looked at the people around her, waved her hand, and gently leapt off the plane’s remnants, as the fluttering red cape brought hope to this land.
Putting on her hat lightly, Luo Qianqian looked at the gigantic body of the beast with some disdain, a few degrees of pride appearing on her face. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
If her idea could be realized, it might yet solve this thing.
Staring at the beast, indifferent to the splattering black saliva, the people from the Sanctuary felt a little anxious, unsure of her intentions but sensing from her sly smile that something major was amiss—a scheme against them.
But so what if it was a scheme? The ones holding off this great beast were people she brought...
"Want to deal with this thing?" Luo Qianqian spoke calmly to those plotting against her, careful not to expose her disdain though it remained visible in her eyes.
"Do you have a way?" The speaker was the head of the Sanctuary, looking at Luo Qianqian with a hint of doubt.
"I can’t guarantee a solution, but if there is one, it’s your Sanctuary’s credit; I won’t take it from you. Whether you choose to listen is your problem." Her gaze swept that person’s face, noticing a glimmer of surprise, making her even more disdainful.
In this situation, even if you claim all credit belongs to the Sanctuary, those returning to their countries will report the real situation, which won’t affect her, and she doesn’t wish for fame anyway.
She only wants to protect her country; before the righteousness of her nation, any fame and fortune are mere illusions.
Unexpectedly, others looked at Luo Qianqian with deep emotion, as though she were sacrificing herself to save them, making Luo Qianqian feel repulsed.
"Tell us what you’re thinking."
"The reason you’re safe is because... your Sanctuary’s, um, Holy Robes were... um, prayed over." How was Luo Qianqian supposed to know what these things were called? She doesn’t care!
The head of the Sanctuary raised his chin proudly: "Of course, the Holy Light protection from our Sanctuary is effective."
"So, you can apply Holy Light protection to bombs or similar objects, making sure it inadvertently swallows them. The bomb won’t be corroded, and you can use a remote to detonate it directly."
Luo Qianqian stated seriously.
The head furrowed his brow slightly, looking at Luo Qianqian: "You see, we’re all wearing the same robes, but if they’re not worn by Sanctuary members, then they would..." He pointed to the pools of black water on the ground, appearing somewhat fatigued.
Even explaining it might not convince anyone, but he must speak the truth; it’s the same stuff, and the Sanctuary won’t pull any tricks in such times!
"Well, here’s the crucial part." Luo Qianqian touched the tip of her nose: "You’ll need to send a Savior (or sacrificial pawn) from the Sanctuary along with the bomb inside. This way, it’ll ensure the bomb isn’t corroded."
Luo Qianqian shrugged; she’s not bluffing anyone—if successful, wouldn’t this sacrificial pawn be the Savior?
Moreover, doesn’t the Sanctuary promote enlightenment and declare that one becomes an angel after death?
She’s merely pushing the problem to where it originally belonged since this isn’t her domain, even though she’s contemplating doing something.
"We..." The head’s eyes widened instantly, triggering a sense of crisis in Luo Qianqian, and the next moment, she was scooped up and lifted into the air.
Mo gasped for breath: "Don’t make me worry, okay?"
Luo Qianqian looked at her original position; a huge pit formed there, struck by the beast’s tail.
The group earlier had scattered in different directions.
She exhaled gently: "Thank you, are you okay?"
"It can’t attack in the air, but we also can’t break through its defenses." Mo’s voice carried frustration as he held Luo Qianqian standing at his side, encircling her waist so she wouldn’t fall, indicating for her to see: "Our strongest attack only scratched its scales; fortunately, such beasts are extremely rare. Otherwise, just the existence of Exotic Beasts could aid Otherworld in claiming new territory."
Luo Qianqian couldn’t help but click her tongue, looking at the other side at Yan, also appearing somewhat fatigued and feeling a bit concerned.
"I went to the Sanctuary people earlier, asking them to find a way to blow up the beast from inside. I feel the internal defenses shouldn’t be as exaggerated as the external ones?" Luo Qianqian shared her earlier thoughts with Mo.
Mo hesitated briefly, bowed his head to think it over for a while, then nodded slightly: "I think it’s feasible."
Upon hearing Mo’s approval, Luo Qianqian relaxed; she had approached it with a mentality of trial.
And due to her disdain for the Sanctuary, she’d made such a proposal.
After all, she wouldn’t let those close to her undertake such a suicidal task; for the sake of righteousness, she remains unwilling.
