Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap
Chapter 1190: I Will Do My Best to Help You
Lily Turner was indeed tired. Even though she said she wasn’t that tired outside, she fell asleep shortly after lying down in bed once she was inside the room, and she slept very deeply.
Easton Holmes lay beside her. Initially, he watched her sleep soundly, but later he, too, unknowingly fell asleep.
While the couple slept in their room, a few adults and Athena Linton were sitting in the living room outside.
The four elders chatted, while the only youngster felt bored, sitting to the side playing games on her phone. However, thinking about the presence of the goddess sister in her house, she felt not as bored.
She played her mobile game while waiting for the goddess sister resting in the room.
"Sis! How is that kid Theodore Holmes doing now? Has he realized his mistakes?" After some polite conversation, Michael Linton suddenly asked about the situation between Easton Holmes and Theodore Holmes.
Ever since attending the wedding, he had been following this matter, but he didn’t get many details from Easton. Anytime he asked about it, he only received vague and general answers.
He knew it was because his nephew didn’t want to worry him. So, he never pursued the matter too closely; whatever his nephew said was enough for him to believe.
Michael Linton is most concerned now that Theodore Holmes may not genuinely realize his mistakes. It’s not that he’s afraid Theodore will do something, but rather he’s worried Theodore will keep causing trouble for Easton.
This would not only trouble Easton’s life but also affect his career. Michael doesn’t want his nephew to be bothered by such messy issues.
When his own brother mentioned Theodore, that brat, Amelia Linton’s expression immediately changed. "That...since he was sentenced to prison, I haven’t seen him again."
She initially wanted to refer to him as that brat, but remembering their old father would have opinions, she quickly changed her words.
"Brother-in-law hasn’t..."
"Don’t call that person brother-in-law anymore. Your sister is going to divorce him."
Before Michael Linton could finish speaking, Callix Linton interrupted him, in this way informing both Michael Linton and Serena Zimmerman about Amelia and Fabian Holmes’ divorce.
Upon hearing Callix Linton mention Amelia and Fabian wanting a divorce, Michael Linton and Serena Zimmerman couldn’t believe their ears. They thought they had misheard, or that the old father had misspoken.
"What? Sis! Did I hear that right? You’re really going to divorce Fabian Holmes?" Michael Linton was the first to ask for confirmation.
Amelia Linton nodded, "I might lie to you, but would Dad lie to you?"
She didn’t directly answer with true or false, but responded to her brother’s question with another question.
"Of course not." Michael Linton shook his head immediately, glancing at Amelia, then at the old father Callix, finally turning his gaze back to Amelia. "Sis! I support you. If you need my help, don’t hesitate to ask. I’ll do everything I can to assist you."
He was genuinely happy for his sister to come out of such an unhappy marriage, and support and help were necessary for him to offer.
Hearing Michael Linton say this, Amelia Linton’s tears flowed uncontrollably. Despite the many foolish things she had done before, she hadn’t expected that not only her old father but also her brother forgave her and treated her so well; she couldn’t bear to face them at the thought.
