The original protagonist believed she had found a good mother-in-law.

Only then did the protagonist see the true nature of her husband and mother-in-law.

What filled the protagonist with immense hatred was when, on her deathbed, the mother-in-law forced her four-year-old daughter to wash clothes, cook, and clean. If displeased, the mother-in-law would beat her daughter, cursing her as a losing investment.

She often heard her daughter’s cries.

And Lin Baoshan turned a blind eye to it.

It was only then that she discovered Lin Baoshan had been having an affair with one of the sister-in-law’s friends, and that woman was two months pregnant.

So, the Lin mother and son were hastily planning to kill her to bring that woman into the family.
