Pregnant Cultivator, Doted by Big Boss
Chapter 226 - 224: Grand Wedding (2)
Atop the Cloud Ladder.
The white-haired Elder Sawyer spoke with a solemn expression. "The auspicious time has come. The bride may now enter the carriage."
At the sound of Elder Sawyer’s voice,
Celeste Grant raised her head slightly.
Through the thin, red veil, she saw Javier Sinclair standing before her.
He was dressed in red wedding robes today, his hair held in place by a Dragon Pattern Hairpin. Chain-like tassels cascaded down either side of his hair. The robes themselves were embroidered with golden dragons, the collar bearing the sigil of the Bloodfiend Den, and the cuffs adorned with intricate gold threading.
His robes were a matching set to hers.
His face, with its phoenix eyes and high-bridged nose, was as handsome as a painting, carrying an air of wicked charm.
The moment she placed her hand in his, a faint golden light enveloped them. An instant later, phantoms of a phoenix and a dragon emerged, circling in the air above their heads.
A propitious sign: the dragon and the phoenix in harmony.
Even Celeste Grant was taken aback and glanced upward. ’I wonder what these robes are made of.’ They were impervious to blades, fire, and water—a top-tier Defensive Magical Robe.
’The spectacle before me is a manifestation of the Arrays woven into the fabric. In other words, the embroidered dragon and phoenix on our wedding robes... they actually look alive.’
’Only in the Cultivation World could a scene like this happen. This is what you call a truly epic, fantastical spectacle.’
All in all, Celeste Grant was very pleased with her wedding.
’You only get one of these in a lifetime. No compromises.’
’I hope every woman out there gets to have her own beautiful wedding day, walking hand in hand with the person she loves.’
Javier Sinclair’s gaze shifted from her figure to her face. Even through the red veil, he could tell that Celeste Grant was breathtakingly beautiful today.
"Let’s go, my lady."
He whispered softly as he bent down and swept her into his arms, carrying her bridal style.
Suddenly swept into his arms, Celeste Grant instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck. She glanced at Javier Sinclair’s profile and gave his shoulder a gentle poke.
Celeste Grant whispered, "This isn’t what we planned. Weren’t we supposed to walk up hand-in-hand to the carriage?" 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
He murmured back, "It’s the same if I carry you."
"Alright, then."
Celeste Grant let out a light laugh.
She was still a little flustered, being watched by so many people.
After the auspicious phantoms of the dragon and phoenix faded from the sky, a breeze swept through, carrying red petals from the horizon. They rained down from above, fluttering on the gentle wind.
Javier Sinclair carried Celeste Grant slowly up the Cloud Ladder as Spirit Birds flew in from the distance, dancing gracefully around them.
Watching the scene unfold before her,
she reached out her hand.
A small, cyan bird landed on her finger, nuzzled it gently, and then flew off again.
At the top of the Cloud Ladder, they reached the Spirit Carriage drawn by a Vermilion. Javier Sinclair gently set Celeste Grant down inside. She looked at the Spirit Carriage. ’This is basically a cultivator’s version of a bridal sedan,’ she mused, ’just much more extravagant.’
Red gauze curtains on the Spirit Carriage fluttered past her gaze. Ahead, the deep-red Vermilion occasionally flapped its wings. Nearby, Aaron Sinclair, dressed in black and red, sat atop a White Tiger, acting as her guard.
Aaron Sinclair looked at Celeste Grant and called out.
"Mom."
Celeste Grant smiled and waved at him.
Her adoring son, Aaron Sinclair, showered her with compliments.
"Mom, you look so beautiful today!"
"You’re such a sweet-talker."
"It’s true! You’re sparkling with beauty!"
Celeste Grant’s heart swelled with delight. She laughed and said, "Sweetheart, you really know the way to my heart."
Aaron Sinclair said, "Dad sure lucked out, getting a mom as dazzlingly beautiful as you. If Dad ever dares to treat you badly, I’ll whisk you away, and I’ll even find you..."
Suddenly, his voice cut out. He saw his dear father flash a sinister smile. "What a filial son you are, wanting to run away with your mother."
His own father had used a Silence Technique on him, rendering him speechless.
He gave his mother a pitiful look.
’Mom! Mom!’
"Come here, son. Come to Mom."
In a flash, Aaron Sinclair’s figure vanished.
He was no longer on the White Tiger’s back but at Celeste Grant’s side. He sat down and took her hand.
’Mom was still the one who loved me most.’
Javier Sinclair lightly tapped him on the head.
This time, he found he could speak again.
"Keep your mother company. And if you run your mouth again, you’ll have me to answer to."
"Mom, Dad’s threatening me!"
Celeste Grant chuckled.
"Honestly, how old are you two, combined?"
The father and son both looked sheepish.
"Alright, we should get going."
"Mom, you just focus on being the beautiful bride today. Your son will be your protector."
With that, he leaped onto the White Tiger’s back.
Javier Sinclair, who had remained where he was, looked at Celeste Grant in her carriage.
"I’m heading to the front. My lady, call for me if you need anything."
Celeste Grant gave a small nod.
"I know. Go on."
Just then, the Azure Dragon descended from the clouds. It circled past the crowd before coming to a halt beside Javier Sinclair. It was his personal mount.
He leaped onto the Azure Dragon’s back and set off, riding the great beast.
Seeing that everything was in place,
standing nearby, Elder Sawyer raised his hand and gave the signal.
"Set forth..."
As his voice faded,
fireworks went WHIZZING into the sky, exploding in a dazzling, lively display.
At this, Elder Lawson and the others waved.
Musicians accompanying the carriage began to play, and amid a swell of celestial music, the procession set off.
Javier Sinclair led the way, followed by Celeste Grant in her Spirit Carriage. The air around them was thick with a vast escort of Demon Cultivators from the Bloodfiend Den, interspersed with flying Spirit Beasts. Farther back still were massive Bloodfiend Den airships flying the banners of the Demonic Sects... The grand procession swept out of Bloodfiend City and headed for the horizon.
Their plan for the day was to make a full circuit of the Cultivation World.
In a Cultivation World where everyone had a phone,
the Demonic Sects had been live-streaming the wedding from the very beginning, and now, the entire Cultivation World was tuned in.
「Meanwhile.」
More and more viewers were flooding into the official Bloodfiend Den live stream.
The stream was being hosted by a female disciple from the Bloodfiend Den, who was smiling at the lens.
"Welcome, fellow cultivators, to this live broadcast. Today is the joyous day our Exalted One and his lady are to be wed. For this reason, all unfriendly comments are strictly forbidden, and we have enabled a chat-wide mute. Furthermore, after the ceremony, we will be holding a lottery for our viewers, with a grand prize of 888 Spirit Stones!"
"We’ve witnessed the love between our lady and The Exalted One firsthand, and we even get to be part of the wedding—I’m so excited I could just die! So today, join me in witnessing this incredible ceremony..."
「All across the Cultivation World.」
Female cultivators watching the stream were green with envy.
"Riding a dragon, a Vermilion-drawn carriage... and that wedding gown! It must be woven from the spirit-silkworm silk of the Frostfell snow mountains, right? That’s just too extravagant!"
"Filthy rich."
Someone bit their sleeve in frustration.
"I hate rich people."
Meanwhile, many cultivators among the Immortal Sects who despised Javier Sinclair stared at their phones, grinding their teeth in fury.
