Mu Anhan shook her head, "No!"

Gu Xiaozhan’s eyes slightly darkened.

She rejected him again.

"Hurry up and wash up!" Mu Anhan urged him.

"Okay." Gu Xiaozhan headed towards the house on the island.

But, the moment he turned around, his spirits hit rock bottom.

He thought about it all last night and brought her to Peach Blossom Island, partly to lift her spirits, partly hoping she would stay by his side.

He took a cold shower, and when he got dressed and came out, she had already climbed the peach tree.

She was dangling her little feet there, taking selfies.

She seemed like a little fairy who had fallen into the mortal world, hidden among the peach blossoms.

Gu Xiaozhan stopped in his tracks. He wondered if liking someone made him see her as the most beautiful sight in his heart, no matter what.

"Honey, there’s no internet on the island?" Mu Anhan waved at him.

This man had been standing there for a while. She had secretly taken a few photos of him. So handsome!

"Today’s a vacation, there’s no internet." Gu Xiaozhan walked to the base of the tree.

Mu Anhan found it a bit strange, "It’s not the weekend, why are we on vacation? What about the kids?"

"Zhu Chen will take good care of them," Gu Xiaozhan said, "Han Han, I want to vacation with you. Do we need to pick a time?"

"Okay!" Mu Anhan nodded, "I want selfies. Such beautiful scenery, I want Tong Tong and Shi Shi to be jealous! And, with such a great backdrop, it would be awesome to shoot a fantasy film!"

"You’ve got a script, just come and shoot anytime," Gu Xiaozhan climbed up the tree and sat with her.

She nestled beside him, picked up her phone, and took several more selfies.

She saved them on her phone and snuggled into his arms.

"Honey, when we’re old, let’s live here every day, shall we?" Mu Anhan envisioned the future, "You wouldn’t need to be a workaholic, no need to worry about national affairs, the kids will have grown up and won’t need us."

Gu Xiaozhan looked down at her. Did she still want to stay by his side? She said she wanted to grow old with him.

The heart he had been carrying, settled back down.

He hugged her tightly. After all this time, his anxious and insecure heart was still just like that. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

"By then, we’ll walk hand in hand along the long coastline, watch the spring flowers and autumn moon, waiting to eat peaches," Mu Anhan softly laughed.

"Sure." Gu Xiaozhan was very happy.

"Let’s go collect shells!" she suggested.

The two of them walked along the shore collecting shells and even spotted small crabs crawling onto the beach.

Mu Anhan even climbed a coconut tree, which was tall and straight, and she climbed with great enthusiasm.

Gu Xiaozhan watched her being mischievous like a monkey; he stood at the base of the tree looking up at her, "Don’t fall!"

As the sun set, the clouds in the sky became colorful and brilliant.

She and he didn’t do any work today, just happily played all day.

She hooked one foot around the coconut tree, stretching the other foot out into the air.

One hand hugged the coconut tree while the other waved at him.

"Honey, if I jump down, can you catch me?" she shouted to him.

"It’s so high, stop messing around!" Gu Xiaozhan glared at her.

Mu Anhan giggled, "But, I trust you..."

A single sentence of trusting him made him feel a surge of passion in his chest.

She slid down from the tree, and halfway down, she was hollering, "My legs hurt so much..."

When spring came, she also dressed lightly, and as the tree and her legs rubbed together...
