Pirate Kingship
Chapter 894 - 522: Title Fusion, Advancement to Tier 5 (7000)!
The incident happened too suddenly, leaving the few surviving guardsmen and Royalist nobles around in a state of confusion.
Aside from the members of the Privy Council who were being beaten by a large group of the King’s Right Hand led by the Pirate King and the ship’s captain, Star Shooter Barrett,
Whether it was the two York brothers lying on the ground or the three great nobles standing nearby, they more or less represented the entire Royalist high echelon.
In upper-class struggles, bystanders should retreat.
Moreover, even the King’s brothers were stabbing each other; wouldn’t they be fools to not think of retreat and instead rush forward?
Edward IV’s gaze swept over the faces of the three "loyalists" beside him, and he unwillingly questioned:
"You... you’ve all defected to the rebellious Mad Hunt? When?!"
Thud!
Byron did not answer Edward IV’s question, he merely twisted the gun shaft and pulled his Big Spear out from the York brothers’ bodies.
Despite Edward IV being empowered by half of the King’s Title and the Devil Duke Richard having transformed into a mythical creature, both with far more resistance than ordinary people, they unsurprisingly collapsed to the ground with a "thud."
The strength drained from their bodies along with the blood, swiftly flowing out from the large, penetrating wounds.
Their expressions were identical, three parts bewilderment, three parts disbelief, and four parts furious rage.
But whether they felt shock or anger, they’d completely lost the ability to retaliate.
Byron, known as the "Great Loyalist of York," was not the "Great Loyalist of Edward," assumed by all allies and enemies alike to be the York family’s loyal "trusted retainer."
The true attack of "Heartfelt Trouble" didn’t discriminate between brothers; they were skewered on the same skewer.
Adding the Death Strike from the Divine Sight, there’s no possibility left for a counterattack by the enemies.
Especially Richard, the Devil Duke and a mythical creature with extraordinary life force, who intended to quietly spirit his soul away from his heavily injured body and possess another brother, George.
But he was horrified to discover that it wasn’t just his body being pierced, but even his devil spiritual body, which was a Fourth Order entity immune to all physical attacks!
The azure "Fifth Element" continuously flowed out from the wound, causing both his spirituality level and Order to rapidly decline.
Even planning to use various abilities obtained from Banker investments for self-rescue proved futile.
The devil’s body began collapsing like a row of dominoes, with no way to save it.
As he fought to endure the pain, attempting to abandon his body and flee from the three sinister, smiling traitors in front of him, a deep-seated weakness made his body convulse.
A moment’s pause was all it took for Count of Torrentfort, Saint Byron, to kick him back.
Bang!
The scarlet light upon the military boots let him know instantly, upon contact, this wasn’t the Storm Spirit Light of the Storm Lord, but a witchcraft spirit light of another mythical creature!
And it specifically targeted the Fifth Element, seemingly able to further process and transform it, giving him a sense of inexplicable familiarity.
Before he could figure out the type of light, he was trampled on his back by Byron.
The force was so great that with a "crunch", it nearly straightened his hunchback.
Byron wiped the bloodstains off his Big Spear and smiled at him:
"Prince Richard, oh no, Devil Richard it should be.
Don’t waste your efforts.
Since you were the first I shot, you should realize, in my heart, the priority of killing you is higher than Edward.
If I hadn’t been wary of you, the mastermind always scheming behind the scenes, wanting to seize the chance to kill you both in one strike, why would I have waited until now?"
Upon Byron revealing his "Devil" identity, Richard finally changed his expression:
"How could you possibly know?!"
Then, raising his head, he saw Marquis Thomas Neville, along with several neutral faction nobles whose daughters had died with Anne Neville in Ganquan Palace, glaring at him with murderous eyes.
Instantly realizing, they not only knew of his devil identity but also his plot to murder the Anne sisters and frame the Kingmaker, forcing the Neutral Faction to take sides.
Seeing this, Edward IV couldn’t guess the inside story, and he was furious, screaming weakly at his brother:
"Richard! What else have you done behind my back? You’re an incompetent fool!"
He wasn’t angry Richard killed the daughters of the Neutral Faction; he was angry that he committed wrongdoings only to be caught, turning the tables and pushing the Neutral Faction to their opposite.
For a schemer, having ambition isn’t terrifying; if Richard could succeed by backstabbing him and secure the York family, he could still be considered a hero.
Even if it meant imprisoning his two sons in Kingston Tower in the future, or taking his Queen, it would still benefit the York family.
But a genius idea with a fool’s execution would only result in a catastrophic disaster.
Ignoring his brother’s questioning, Byron instead answered Edward IV:
"The good deeds of your dear brother don’t end there.
He intended to transform into a devil to possess your sons’ bodies and be the eternal king of the Kingdom of Hightins. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
If we hadn’t intervened, you would never know his true face, and might even grant him the title of Protector of the Realm to balance the maternal forces."
