Peerless Divine Doctor
Chapter 1432: Making a Scene at the Imperial Family Restaurant
The Imperial Family Restaurant had only three floors.
The first floor was open to everyone—of course, by everyone, it meant at least those with a noble title.
A restaurant managed by the Crown Prince couldn’t possibly allow just anyone to enter!
The second floor was reserved for grand nobles; ordinary nobles had no right to set foot there!
As for the third floor, it was exclusively for the Imperial Family’s use!
Ye Luo stood at the entrance of the Imperial Family Restaurant, already pondering what method he could use to stir up some trouble.
Damn it, Ye Luo understood the meaning behind the Border Guard’s orders. If it was just some petty disturbance, it wouldn’t count as completing the mission. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
"Let’s go! We’re heading in!"
Ye Luo waved his hand grandly and strode forward.
The others followed behind him, laughing and joking. Even someone like Yun Liancheng had only been here twice before. At this moment, everyone was actually quite excited.
Suddenly, a servant stepped in front of Ye Luo. "Excuse me, do you have a reservation?"
Ye Luo paused for a moment, then felt a thrill in his heart—here was his chance to cause trouble!
"Reservation, my ass! I want to eat, and I need a reservation for that?"
Bam!
Ye Luo suddenly kicked the servant, sending him flying.
"Sorry, sorry, brother. My bad."
Looking at the sprawled servant, Ye Luo decided that after all of this was over, he’d compensate the poor guy with some benefits. But for now, Ye Luo could only bite the bullet and forge ahead.
In an instant, Yun Liancheng felt a cold sweat trickle down his forehead. As for the others, they were frightened out of their wits!
He was the first! Ye Luo was the first person bold enough to cause a disturbance at the Imperial Family Restaurant!
Inside the restaurant, the other guests were also visibly alarmed. After all, this was a restaurant opened by the Crown Prince! Stirring up trouble here?
Wasn’t this seeking death?
Keep in mind, even the Emperor himself would occasionally visit this place. Yet here was someone daring to stir up trouble—how audacious could a person be?
Suddenly, another servant ran out hastily.
The matter of Ye Luo being added to the Imperial Family registry was, of course, something the Crown Prince knew. This was no secret at all.
In fact, the original intention behind the Border Guard’s plan was for everyone to know that Ye Luo was a Prince, to make it convenient for him to carry out his missions. The more people knew, the better.
The hands-off approach naturally allowed the other Princes and some of the nobility to be aware of Ye Luo’s existence.
The servant who appeared this time wasn’t ordinary—he was the actual manager of this restaurant and also the Crown Prince’s personal attendant. As such, he happened to be privy to Ye Luo’s true identity.
Nominally, Ye Luo was the Emperor of Great Tang’s adopted son, but privately, there were plenty of rumors.
The Imperial Family’s bloodline could not be tainted. In other words, anyone without Imperial lineage would never be admitted into the Imperial Family registry.
For the sake of fighting the Demon Clan, the Emperor of Great Tang might make some compromises, but that didn’t mean the ministers would be as accommodating.
However, the Emperor’s attitude was firm, which inevitably gave rise to countless rumors.
Of all the rumors, one version was especially prevalent: Ye Luo was actually a descendant of the Imperial Family, lost to the outside world, and the Emperor had only recently found him. Hence, Ye Luo was being reinstated into the Imperial Family registry!
This rumor was highly convincing. At the very least, it was widely accepted among the ministers and among servants like this attendant.
Regardless, Ye Luo was already a Prince of the Imperial Family, which naturally meant he was not someone they could offend.
"Your humble servant, Gou Erdan, greets His Highness the Prince! May Your Highness live a long and prosperous life!"
With a loud thud, the attendant knelt before Ye Luo.
Ye Luo was dumbfounded, and the others—especially Yun Liancheng—were even more stunned!
What the hell was going on?
Ye Luo was a Prince?
This guy who’d been freeloading in his home all this time—he was actually a Prince?
Yun Liancheng was utterly shocked!
Ye Luo felt the same. He hadn’t agreed to his identity being made public, yet here Gou Erdan was, behaving like this toward him.
Ye Luo knew very clearly that his identity as a Prince was completely fake, arranged solely for the mission.
So, Ye Luo was utterly lost.
"Hey, are you sure you’ve got the right person? When did I become a Prince?"
Ye Luo could only ask awkwardly. Pretending to be a member of the Imperial Family was a serious crime. Although Li Long had indeed arranged for him to assume the identity of a Prince for the mission, Ye Luo wasn’t about to acknowledge it so easily.
"Uh, forgive my poor eyesight. I must have made a mistake, made a mistake! Young Master Ye, this way, please—we’ve already prepared a private room for you!"
Damn it!
To deny it like that—might as well not have denied it at all.
Ye Luo was feeling quite helpless.
Alas, there wasn’t much he could do.
The group entered the private room, and it was obvious that Yun Liancheng and the others were still greatly intimidated by Ye Luo.
Ye Luo sighed in exasperation and turned to Yun Liancheng. "Hey Yun, does the Imperial Family happen to have a Prince who looks just like me?"
"Your Highness... what might you mean by that?"
Initially, Yun Liancheng had planned to address him as Ye Luo, but he didn’t dare to anymore. He could only refer to him as "Your Highness."
"Come on, Yun. You know me better than anyone. Do I look like a Prince to you? I’ve been crashing at your place, barely scraping by. Do you really think I’m a Prince? That guy must have mistaken me for someone else. Do you believe me or not?"
Hearing this, Yun Liancheng finally started to realize. Yeah, Ye Luo had been sticking around him this whole time and had even enrolled in the Royal Academy because of his suggestion. Nothing about him screamed "Prince."
Could it really have been a case of mistaken identity?
Yun Liancheng was now unsure what to believe.
As for Ye Luo, he, too, was deeply confused.
What was the Border Guard doing? Wasn’t the Prince’s identity only meant for the mission? Why hadn’t they kept it under wraps?
The Prince identity was supposed to be something only relevant to certain personnel during the mission. This way, after the mission ended, Ye Luo could cleanly wrap things up!
"You... you’re really not a Prince?"
Yun Liancheng asked again.
"Yeah, sure, I’m a Prince. Fine, I’ll make you a Duke right now. Happy?"
Ye Luo rolled his eyes at Yun Liancheng, his expression making his thoughts crystal clear.
"Great! How about you make me a Royal Marquis too, while you’re at it?"
Yun Liancheng caught on and jokingly played along.
"Oh, you wish! If I were really a Prince, the first thing I’d do is get myself a mansion, one ten times the size of your place!"
Ye Luo said casually, and at last, the atmosphere in the room began to lighten up.
"Hahaha! Ye Luo, if you were really a Prince, how about assigning us all some big official positions?"
"Sure thing! If Yun here becomes a Royal Marquis, then the rest of you can all become Dukes or Marquises or whatever, just for laughs!"
