In front of the bedside, William Guillen sat on the chair, his gaze fixed firmly on Fluffy Zane.

"Now you can be at ease, right?" Thomas Shannon chuckled lightly, laughing at his ghostly appearance, seemingly having lost his senses.

William Guillen nodded, exhaling a long breath of turbid air, releasing the heavy burden on his heart.

"Thomas, thanks."

Thomas Shannon raised an eyebrow, glancing at the time, "Do you want to go past having breakfast, or have someone send it to you?"

"Have it sent to me, I’ll be here guarding Fluffy."

"Hmm."

Thomas Shannon returned to the castle, glanced around, and didn’t see Sophie Sullivan. He called over a maidservant and asked, "Where’s the maniac?"

"Young Master, the maniac has not gotten up yet."

Not gotten up yet?

It seems last night really tired her out, she’s still lounging in bed.

With a smile at the corner of his mouth, he stepped upstairs, returned to the bedroom, and indeed saw Sophie Sullivan lying on her side, sleeping with half of her small face flushed, her rosy lips slightly pouting, carrying a hint of childishness and cuteness.

Unable to resist, Thomas Shannon leaned down and gave her rosy lips a light peck.

Perhaps it was his crisp male scent too overwhelming, or maybe his kiss woke her, Sophie Sullivan slowly opened her eyes, hurriedly rubbing them with her hand, "Thomas Shannon, you’re disturbing me again."

"Hurry and get up, it’s time for breakfast."

Sophie Sullivan rubbed her eyes, then put down her hand, looking at the ceiling blankly, her brain not yet fully awake.

She vaguely remembered last night she was sleeping well when someone knocked on the door, and then... then Thomas Shannon left.

With elegance, she yawned and lazily stretched out her arm, Thomas Shannon grasped her hand and pulled her body up.

After Sophie Sullivan sat up, she asked, "What happened last night?"

"Fluffy Zane had a car accident."

The drowsiness instantly dissipated without a trace, Sophie Sullivan raised her head in shock, staring at him intently: "What did you say?"

"Fluffy Zane had a car accident to rescue William Guillen, and she was sent to hospital emergency last night. The doctor said she needed to amputate. William went to the medical office to find the doctor and finally brought Fluffy Zane over from the hospital, did the surgery, and managed to save her leg."

Thomas Shannon passed both hands beneath her arms and wrapped her against his chest, carrying her into the restroom.

Sophie Sullivan’s heart, which had been suspended, fell back into her stomach because of his words.

"As long as she’s okay..." On second thought, she again found it odd, why did Fluffy Zane save William Guillen?

Did they meet again last night?

"What is your little brain thinking about now, eyes spinning so fast?"

He handed her a cup of water along with the readied toothpaste.

Sitting on the washstand, Sophie Sullivan took a sip of water, rinsed her mouth, and spat it out before picking up the toothbrush to brush her teeth, "Why did Fluffy save William Guillen, were they together last night?"

"I don’t know either." 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

After both finished washing up, Sophie Sullivan pushed Thomas Shannon outside, "You go out first, I’ll come in a while."

Thomas Shannon nodded and turned to leave.

Sophie Sullivan took out the ointment configured by Old Mr. Standford from under the washstand cabinet. Carefully she removed the gauze, applied the ointment evenly on her face.

The ointment had a refreshing feeling, she couldn’t help but touch her smooth face again, feeling delighted inside.

"Fennie, are you done?"

Thomas Shannon waited outside for a while, and she hadn’t come out yet, so he was about to push the door and enter.

Sophie Sullivan reacted immediately, promptly wrapping the gauze again, applying the medical adhesive tape.

Confirming it was securely fastened, she lowered the ointment, turned, and went out.
