Otaku Witch
Chapter 1952 - 996: Such a Scary Number of - s
"Auntie, let me give you a piece of advice, really don’t go into business anymore. Let’s focus on researching alchemy technology."
After a long silence, Dorothy could only pat Sitle on the shoulder and sincerely suggest this.
At this moment, she somewhat understood why the younger generation of the Chris lineage was so eager to hold celebrations. Faced with such a joyous occasion, who could hold back?
They really had it tough in the past.
"No, my lady, what do you mean by this? Do I have some shortcomings? I think you might really hang a sun in the sky. And Mia is prepared to invest as well."
The Elder Radiant Dragon was furious at this. She felt slighted; was there a problem with the lady’s suggestion?
Dorothy: "...."
The homebody witch turned her head, looking towards Senior Mia, only to see her holding a purse.
No, senior, what do you mean by this, is auntie’s ailment contagious?
"Hahaha, actually, I think Auntie’s eyesight is great this time. Little Fairy, I think your suggestion is somewhat feasible."
Seeing her beloved gazing at her, the Golden Princess scratched her head and spoke.
Hmm, she must speak up for Auntie. Auntie’s investment vision is definitely commendable this time; if she had it every time, the Chris lineage would have revived long ago.
Homebody witch: "...."
Senior, your lover’s filter is not good.
Sigh, it really costs money to fall in love. Look at how smart Senior is usually, but now faced with her own matters, her intelligence has dropped to the same level as Sitle’s, which is truly terrifying.
"Let’s move on to proper business then."
Dorothy spoke crossly to the two Radiant Dragon witches who were about to throw money at her.
As Sitle grew more agitated during the stroll, the three decided to end their shopping trip and headed straight to the entrance of the elevator into the ley lines.
However, the elevator into the ley lines was guarded by guards, their gold and silver attire instantly recognizable as Radiant Dragon witches. Upon seeing Dorothy and the others, their expressions became quite interesting.
"Good day, Elder, Princess, Young Lady."
Though the two were visibly surprised by Sitle and Mia’s quick return, after the shock, they respectfully greeted the two, and courteously acknowledged Dorothy.
Thankfully, there wasn’t any cliche drama of those who fell from grace being disrespected by guards.
Instead, the two being addressed were not entirely receptive.
"Don’t call me elder, I’m already someone else’s servant, soon I’ll no longer be an elder of the Golden Country. Isn’t that what you lot have been wishing for?"
Sitle was still upset about the earlier celebration, her tone full of resentment.
"There’s no need to call me princess either, I’m unfit for that title for now, just call me Mia."
Mia had no resentment; she seriously corrected them. After all, amid the Golden Trial, she’d lost her previous title as the first heir, not suitable to be called princess.
It was Dorothy who courteously greeted the guard ladies back, then explained their purpose.
"Ladies, we have a business trip to the real Golden Country. What procedures are needed?"
Hmm, she planned to purchase materials for warship construction today, which were mostly military-controlled goods, not obtainable in ordinary shops outside, only at the headquarters in the Golden Country, with a high-level approval of at least P3 level.
"Procedures? No need, no need, Young Lady, please come inside, we will open the gate for you right away."
The truth was, usually, going to the Vein Gold Village required many procedures, such as needing an invitation from a P3-level figure or financial verification.
But the guards, looking at the dark-faced Sitle and serious Mia by Dorothy’s side, dared not inspect any procedures.
Moreover, the Young Lady’s reputation in the Dragon Kingdom was formidable; even if nothing else was mentioned, her identity as the heir of the Yemengade Family was enough for Golden Country to receive her with courtesy.
Her face nowadays was as good as a business card, no need for verification.
"Alright, then we’ll trouble you two."
Dorothy nodded, feeling for the guard ladies, quickly reached out to pull both Sitle and Mia into the elevator.
Once they entered, one guard quickly closed the gate and started the elevator, while the other promptly took out a spellbook to inform others.
[Chris folks, your elder has returned, face as dark as night, tread carefully. I told you to at least hold two rounds of celebrations, well, this time, good luck to you.]
[And others, note that Lady Mia brought the Young Lady along.]
....
Of course, the guard ladies’ actions were unknown to Dorothy and the others. The homebody witch could clearly sense the complex emotions of her two companions; returning home indeed heightened nerves.
She refrained from disturbing them, instead pretended to study the array of the elevator.
