Online Fortune Telling: Your Son Has Another Dad
Chapter 491 - 489: Everybody, Freeze!
Watching the indifferent young man and five others, including a bald man in a suit, walk into the dark room one after another, Yang Qingshu’s face revealed a hint of joy.
After those six left, only three gunmen remained in front of the ancestral tomb.
If he could draw away one or two of them, then he would have a chance to rescue Old Master Banhan and the others.
Just as Yang Qingshu was pondering how to create a diversion to draw away those three gunmen, a pained wail suddenly echoed from the dark room.
The faces of the three gunmen changed instantly upon hearing the wail.
"Caw caw...caw caw..."
After hurriedly exchanging a few words, they left one person to continue guarding the hostages.
The remaining two immediately drew their pistols and quickly rushed into the basement.
"What a great opportunity!"
Yang Qingshu was unsure about what exactly had happened inside the dark room.
Did a conflict arise between the indifferent young man and the bald man in a suit?
Or did something unforeseen occur?
But at this moment, it was indeed a great opportunity to rescue people!
He raised the pistol in his hand, aiming it at the only gunman left.
"Bang!"
As he gently pulled the trigger, a bullet shot from the muzzle, directly targeting that gunman.
"Damn it!"
After firing, Yang Qingshu’s face immediately revealed a trace of embarrassment.
For no other reason than because this shot missed!
Even though he aimed at that gunman, the bullet seemed to have flown elsewhere.
Knowing that this shot missed, he quickly crouched down, hiding his body to avoid being seen by the gunman.
After all, the opponent is someone who lives by the gun, and if they exchanged fire, he would certainly end up riddled with bullets.
The sudden gunshot left the gunman momentarily stunned.
The gunman hurriedly glanced around but found no one nearby.
Yet the gunshot was undeniable!
Unfortunately, after the gunshot, with no way to determine where the bullet went, he couldn’t ascertain the shooter’s location.
Meanwhile, several more screams and a flurry of gunfire echoed from the dark room under the ancestral tomb.
Evidently, the situation inside the dark room was very critical!
The gunman’s face grew more anxious.
He didn’t know whether he should continue standing guard here or go down to check the situation.
Seeing the gunman’s distraction, Yang Qingshu felt the chance couldn’t be missed.
He once again raised his gun, aiming it at the gunman.
"Huuu..." 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
He took a deep breath, adjusting his state.
Feeling at his best, he pulled the trigger once more.
"Bang!"
Another gunshot rang out.
"Damn...how is my aim so bad?"
After the second shot, Yang Qingshu was a bit dumbfounded.
This shot was aimed at the gunman’s torso.
After all, the torso is the largest target, making it easier to hit.
But evidently, this shot missed again.
Fortunately, as if by a stroke of luck, this shot hit the gunman’s gun-wielding hand.
"Ah!"
The gunman let out a cry of pain.
His gun-wielding hand instinctively trembled, and the pistol was flung away.
But he quickly came to his senses, gritting his teeth, enduring the pain, and attempted to retrieve the pistol.
At this moment, Anlin and Tongtai’s father, Landon Qinawa, lunged forward, directly tackling the gunman to the ground.
The remaining people then reacted, rushing forward to pin down the gunman.
Seeing the gunman subdued, Yang Qingshu let out a deep breath of relief.
He immediately dashed out from behind the tree, waving to Old Master Banhan and the others.
"Qingshu brother, it’s you!"
Seeing Yang Qingshu, Anlin’s little face instantly lit up with excitement.
"Grandpa Banhan, are you okay?"
After nodding, Yang Qingshu looked towards the elderly man.
"I’m alright, just some scratches."
Old Master Banhan replied with a smile.
He also noticed the gun in Yang Qingshu’s hand and asked, "Qingshu, was it you who fired the shots?"
"Yes!"
Yang Qingshu nodded, looking a bit embarrassed, "My aim was off."
"It took two shots to barely hit the target..."
"Thank you, Qingshu!"
Old Master Banhan looked at Yang Qingshu with increasing fondness.
If the man didn’t already have a girlfriend, he would have been eager to match him with his granddaughter, Anlin.
"Qingshu brother, you’re my lifesaver!"
Anlin sweetly smiled, briskly walking up to Yang Qingshu.
She lightly stood on tiptoes as if to give him a kiss of gratitude.
"No...no..."
At the sight, Yang Qingshu instinctively wanted to step back.
But just then, another series of screams erupted from the dark room.
These screams were piercing and heart-wrenching.
From these sounds, it was apparent that the indifferent young man and the others encountered some unforeseen danger inside the dark room, contrary to Yang Qingshu’s earlier guess of a violent confrontation between sides.
The sudden screams drained the color from several faces present.
Anlin too lost the urge to kiss her lifesaver.
"There might still be danger here!"
"Perhaps we should leave first!"
Since Yang Qingshu was aware of the Spiritual Qi Revival and had encountered real specters in Li Family Village on Qingming Mountain, he dared not linger here, fearing something terrifying might be hidden inside the dark room.
"Yes, yes!"
"It’s indeed dangerous here; better to leave first!"
Old Master Banhan nodded repeatedly.
A hint of fear flickered in his eyes.
Anlin keenly noticed her grandfather’s change in expression.
She furrowed her brows slightly, pondering what her grandfather might have left inside the dark room.
Landon Qinawa and Menglai Qinawa, united as brothers, used their belts to tie the wounded gunman in place.
As they prepared to leave the ancestral tomb, a cold voice suddenly called out from behind: "Don’t move! All of you stay put!"
Startled, Anlin turned to see who it was, her pretty face filled with disbelief.
"Brother, have you lost your mind?"
Covering her mouth, she exclaimed in shock.
Old Master Banhan and the others were equally astonished.
They could never have imagined that their beloved grandson, son, and nephew would be aiming a pistol at them.
"Qingshu, my dear friend, please put down the gun!"
"I don’t want to harm you!"
With a stern expression, Tongtai slowly spoke to Yang Qingshu.
"So, it really is you?"
Yang Qingshu complied, throwing his gun aside.
When he looked at his former friend, his eyes were filled with complex emotions and incomprehension.
"Did you figure it was me?"
Tongtai chuckled lightly.
"More or less!"
Yang Qingshu replied with a smile and a slight nod.
From the moment he saw the cold-faced young man, he had deduced that the traitor was indeed a direct member of the Qinawa family.
After all, how could those collateral relatives possibly command the cold-faced youth and those elite bodyguards?
