Chapter 121: Chapter 121: Please let me go. I do not want this. I do not want to mate with you

"You feel so soft," he whispered against her lips, voice dark and enchanting. "So warm even in the cold water. Let me have you, little female. Let me mate with you here where the river can witness it. I will make it good for you. I will make you feel pleasure you have never known."

Lin Huahua’s mind was spinning, her body reacting even as she tried to fight. He was beautiful. She could not deny it. His blue hair floated around them like a living halo, his turquoise eyes pulling her in, his smooth skin and powerful tail making him look like something out of the most forbidden fantasy. But she did not want this. She did not want him.

"Please," she gasped between kisses, her voice breaking. "Please let me go. I do not want this. I do not want to mate with you."

Mo Chenyuan only kissed her again, deeper, his hand sliding lower to press between her thighs, rubbing her through her clothes with slow, teasing strokes that made her whimper despite herself.

Then a huge shadow fell over them from above.

A massive white lion burst through the water like a living storm.

Hu Baiyu.

In his full lion form, three-striped power radiating from every inch of his enormous body, his white mane floating wildly around him as he dove straight toward them. His blue eyes burned with pure fury, his powerful jaws open in a silent roar that sent bubbles exploding upward. The water churned violently around him as he charged.

Lin Huahua’s eyes widened with relief the moment she saw him. "Baiyu!"

Mo Chenyuan’s enchanting expression twisted into something darker, more dangerous. He tightened his hold on her for one second longer, then released her with a reluctant growl as the lion slammed into him. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

The fight was brutal and crazy.

Hu Baiyu’s massive paws slashed through the water, claws raking across the merman’s shoulder and drawing thin lines of blood that clouded the river red.

Mo Chenyuan twisted away with terrifying speed, his powerful tail whipping around to slam into the lion’s side, sending Hu Baiyu tumbling through the current.

The merman was faster in the water, his tail propelling him like a living blade, his hands grabbing at the lion’s mane and trying to drag him deeper. But Hu Baiyu was stronger overall. He was a three-striped beastman, and his fury at seeing another male touch his female made him unstoppable.

The lion roared silently, bubbles exploding from his jaws as he lunged again, his teeth snapping shut inches from the merman’s throat.

Mo Chenyuan dodged, but not fast enough — Hu Baiyu’s paw caught his tail, claws digging in deep. The merman hissed in pain, turquoise eyes flashing with anger, but he knew he was outmatched here. The lion’s raw power and protective rage were too much, even in the merman’s own domain.

With one last vicious glare at Lin Huahua, Mo Chenyuan twisted free and fled deeper into the river, his blue tail flashing once before he disappeared into the darker water.

The moment he was gone, the breathing magic left Lin Huahua.

She started drowning again.

Her lungs burned instantly. Panic flooded her as she kicked desperately toward the surface, her small arms flailing, her fluffy white rat tail thrashing uselessly. Black spots danced across her vision once more.

Hu Baiyu did not hesitate.

The giant white lion surged forward, his massive body cutting through the water like a living arrow. He wrapped one powerful paw around her small waist and kicked upward with all his strength, propelling them both toward the light. His blue eyes stayed locked on her face the entire way, filled with pure terror and love as he fought to get her to air.

They broke the surface together in a violent splash.

Lin Huahua gasped desperately, coughing and choking as fresh air rushed into her lungs. Hu Baiyu immediately shifted back to his human form mid-stroke, his massive arms wrapping around her tiny body and holding her tight against his bare chest as he swam the last few strokes to the shallow bank.

He carried her out of the water completely, his powerful legs striding through the shallows until he reached the flat stones where Mu Qingyi and Feng Yiren were already sprinting toward them, faces pale with fear.

Lin Huahua clung to Hu Baiyu’s neck, her small body shaking, her fluffy white rat tail wrapped tightly around his arm as she buried her face against his warm, wet chest and cried.

The moment Hu Baiyu carried Lin Huahua out of the water and onto the flat stones, the whole riverbank seemed to freeze for one breath.

Water poured down from his long white hair, over his broad bare shoulders, and across his powerful chest, but he did not care about himself at all.

His blue eyes were fixed on the small female trembling in his arms, and because he had just seen her dragged under by another male, his whole body was still locked in the kind of fear that made even a three-striped lion beastman look helpless.

His lion ears were flattened hard against his wet hair, his jaw was tight, and both his arms wrapped around Lin Huahua so carefully and so strongly that it looked as if he was afraid she would vanish if he loosened his hold even a little.

Lin Huahua clung to his neck and coughed so hard her little shoulders shook. River water spilled from her mouth, and the sound made Hu Baiyu’s face turn even whiter.

She tried to breathe in, choked again, and coughed until her eyes became red and watery.

Her white rat ears were pasted damply against her head, her fluffy tail was soaked and limp, and her small body trembled so badly against his chest that the lion’s own breathing became rough.

Mu Qingyi reached them first.

The deer beastman dropped to one knee on the wet stones without caring that the rough edges cut into his skin.

His large antlers were dripping with water too because he had already rushed halfway in before Hu Baiyu got her out, and his usually calm face had lost all its gentle ease.

He placed one big hand on Lin Huahua’s back and patted carefully, not too hard, not too soft, because even now his hands remembered she was fragile to him.
