Zombie Bodyguard-Chapter 879 - 876: Being Tracked
Chapter 879: Chapter 876: Being Tracked
"So, what do we do next?" Zhou Botong kicked the samurai on the ground and asked excitedly.
Today’s bar fight was extremely satisfying for him; just the three of them had turned the entire Black Dragon Bar upside down without a scratch. It was all thanks to Lin Tian, so he was waiting for Lin Tian to command the next battle.
"We’re leaving," Lin Tian said unexpectedly.
"Leaving? Let’s have some fun while it’s chaotic." Zhou Botong was reluctant to go.
Lin Tian patted his chest and said, "Brother, the police will be here soon. Do you want to go have tea with them at the station?"
"Damn, that tea is not for us common folk. Let’s get out of here," Zhou Botong quickly said. If the old man at home found out he ended up in the station, his legs would surely be broken.
Right then, the three of them walked proudly across the dance floor towards the exit. The samurai brats were already caught in the whirlwind of a people’s war and had no time to attend to the three "culprits."
The main door had been blocked by Rossi, so folks outside had no idea what was happening inside. Rossi opened the door and let the three of them out.
"Rossi, make sure to call the police in a bit and report that the Black Dragon Tavern is up to illegal activities. With Black Dragon Bar’s reputation, I think they will find something," Lin Tian instructed.
"Alright, Brother Tian, anything else?" Rossi asked decisively.
"Oh, also make sure to destroy the recordings from Black Dragon Bar later. That’s all, you can go," Lin Tian said. Rossi nodded and walked back into the bar.
Liu Wenxing and Zhou Botong looked curiously at Rossi, this handsome blonde guy. Even though Rossi seemed like a foreigner, after observing him for a while, he appeared more like a mix with facial features hinting at Asian heritage.
But the two didn’t inquire about Rossi from Lin Tian. True friends don’t talk about everything openly; even if there are secrets, they trust each other unconditionally. That’s what true friendship is.
"Brother Lin, is Rossi alright going into Black Dragon Bar at this time?" Liu Wenxing asked worriedly.
Lin Tian understood what he meant. With the police coming soon, things could get tricky being trapped inside.
"Don’t worry, in Xikou City, fewer than five people can trap him," Lin Tian said confidently.
He wasn’t bragging; based on what he knew, other than himself, Xiao Manxue, who had ascended to Postnatal Perfection, and the mysterious Zhang Lingyu, there seemed to be no one else who could subdue Rossi—not even Ghost, the Ancient Yoga Practitioner.
Actually, Ghost’s skills weren’t low; it was just that the Ancient Yoga Skill focused more on enhancing life force rather than attack power, thus his speed and strength were a cut below Rossi’s.
Liu Wenxing and Zhou Botong exchanged a surprised look. Although they couldn’t understand it, they figured anyone who could be with Lin Tian wouldn’t be simple.
"It’s getting late, I’ll drive you two back now." Lin Tian left Black Dragon Tavern with the car, and as soon as they left, several police cars showed up in front of Black Dragon Tavern, which Lin Tian and the others saw in the rearview mirror.
"Brother Lin, your move of kicking someone when they’re down is brilliant. After this police investigation, the Japanese brats’ Black Dragon Tavern probably won’t stay open," Zhou Botong said gleefully.
"Damn, do you even know how to use idioms? Kicking someone when they’re down describes a bad guy. Do I look like a bad guy? I’m just a good citizen doing my part, seeing illegal activities at Black Dragon Bar and reporting them. I should be awarded a good citizen award," Lin Tian protested.
"Brother Lin is right; the three of us are all good citizens, haha..." Zhou Botong laughed narcissistically.
"Hahaha..." The three of them burst into laughter, removed their ghost god masks, and tossed them to the back of the car.
Lin Tian first dropped Zhou Botong off, then turned to take Liu Wenxing back to school.
"Wenxing, you’re leaving Xikou City tomorrow, which is probably for the best. I have a gut feeling that Xikou City will become a place of trouble soon. You leaving gives me some peace of mind," Lin Tian said sincerely.
Liu Wenxing felt some sadness over the farewell and earnestly said, "Brother Tian, although I don’t know what’s happening, I can guess it has something to do with the Xiao Family. I’m just an ordinary person and can’t help much, but I hope Brother Tian takes care."
"You take care too," Lin Tian said goodbye, leaving school.
He didn’t immediately go back to Xiao Mansion but drove straight to Night Rose Bar. Lin Tian didn’t alarm anyone at the bar and went up to the top floor alone. He still had some matters to instruct Rossi.
He didn’t wait long before a dark figure swooped down from the sky. It was a black bat, landing on the ground, bursting out black smoke and transforming into a man. It was none other than Rossi.
"Brother Tian, everything is taken care of," Rossi said respectfully.
"Good, I’m mainly here for another important task I want you to do," Lin Tian said solemnly.
Rossi saw his master so serious for the first time and couldn’t help but feel respectful, saying: "Please instruct, Master." He even used the term for master.
Lin Tian didn’t bother correcting him this time and said, "A few days ago, I encountered a woman—no, actually two women—they both made astrological predictions for the Second Miss, foreseeing a catastrophe that cannot be avoided."
"Brother Tian, are you referring to astrology?" Rossi asked.
"Sort of, it’s similar to Western astrology. That woman used Imperial Pole Worldly Book to predict a life-and-death catastrophe for Second Miss, but it’s unknown when this catastrophe will happen. Second Miss herself doesn’t believe it, but I’d rather believe it might happen," Lin Tian said.
"How would you like me to proceed, Brother Tian?" Rossi asked.
"I’m going to be away from Xikou City for a while, not by Second Miss’ side. During this time, I need you to protect Second Miss secretly, understand?" Lin Tian instructed firmly. Although Xiao Manxuan has Miss and Little Zi protecting her, he’s still uneasy.
Rossi knelt on one knee, also solemnly saying, "I swear by the name of Cain, the founder of the Blood Clan, that I will protect Second Miss with my life and uphold my vow, even unto death."
"Stand up, do you think this is the Medieval era with knight spirit? I don’t want anything to happen to Second Miss, nor do I want anything to happen to you, understand?" Lin Tian said with helplessness. He had never gone through that kind of Western historical baptism and couldn’t agree with the idea of trading life for life.
Sometimes, courage and fearlessness alone cannot solve problems. Strength isn’t everything. Brainpower and wisdom are needed to control the situation and eliminate threats at their inception.
However, this was somewhat challenging for Rossi, who was better suited for battle and not adept at such things.
"Alright, you can go now; I should head back too. I’ll let you know when I leave via message," Lin Tian said.
Rossi nodded and was about to leave when a figure suddenly approached from afar accompanied by a girlish shout.
"Stop!"
Upon hearing this voice, Lin Tian frowned and made a secret gesture, signaling Rossi not to act rashly.
