"Men going shopping for clothes, that’s a rare sight." Yun Xiaotian said curiously.

"Stop guessing, there’s a reason for buying clothes." Lin Tian smiled but kept the mystery alive.

The two were utterly confused but had no choice but to follow Lin Tian out the door. After retrieving Yun Xiaotian’s car, Ghost drove towards the center of Tang City.

None of the three were from Tang City, and they’d never been there, but modern map navigation could solve all their problems. From eating to clothing, living, and traveling, everything could be navigated with a click.

Following the route, Ghost drove to the entrance of the mall. According to the map, it was the largest comprehensive mall in Tang City. After parking the car, the three of them walked inside together.

Similar to the layout of Xinyi Mall, the first floor was filled with jewelry and cosmetics. It’s often said that making money from women is easy, and jewelry and cosmetics are things women can’t resist.

Lin Tian headed towards the escalator to go upstairs, but Yun Xiaotian suddenly stopped.

"Brother Tian, guess who I just saw?" Yun Xiaotian looked towards the mall’s jewelry section and whispered.

Lin Tian and Ghost were intrigued and followed his gaze. The jewelry area was crowded with people—a mix of old men with young, enchanting women, pairs of wealthy women, and, of course, the attractive sales clerks. However, there was one young couple that stood out like a crane in a flock of chickens, and Lin Tian instantly noticed them.

"Who are they?" Ghost asked, clearly having also noticed the young couple.

Yun Xiaotian pointed to the man and answered, "The man is Li Wenfeng, the eldest son of the Li Family. I don’t know the woman."

"The woman is Yuwen Luofei, Yuwen Xingjian’s sister, and Li Wenfeng’s girlfriend, or rather, fiancée," Lin Tian calmly said, looking at the woman.

This statement left Ghost and the others astonished, and they asked in unison, "How does Brother Tian know her?"

"It’s a long story. Back in England, I attended an international jewelry exhibition with Miss, and..." Lin Tian briefly explained the conflict with Yuwen Luofei during the event, omitting the details about Charlotte.

"I see, this Yuwen Luofei is really quite particular," Yun Xiaotian shook his head slightly, then added, "But I don’t see how they look like a couple when they’re not even holding hands while shopping. Isn’t that strange?"

Having heard this, Lin Tian also noticed that the two weren’t holding hands, which indeed seemed odd. As the three of them observed, Yuwen Luofei and Li Wenfeng seemed to sense something and turned their heads towards Lin Tian’s direction.

Upon seeing Lin Tian, the two were visibly shocked. However, Li Wenfeng quickly replaced his look of surprise with a smile, while Yuwen Luofei seemed a bit embarrassed, perhaps still feeling guilty about having wrongly accused Lin Tian last time.

Realizing they had been spotted, Lin Tian couldn’t pretend not to know them, so he paused his trip upstairs as Li Wenfeng and Yuwen Luofei approached.

"I never expected to run into Brother Lin in Tang City." Li Wenfeng approached with a perfect smile and a touch of surprise, then turned to Yun Xiaotian. "Oh, Mr. Yun is here too, how rare."

"And who might this be?" Li Wenfeng greeted everyone politely, including Ghost, with impeccable smiles, eye contact, and tone, leaving nothing to criticize.

However, beneath this perfection, Lin Tian felt very uncomfortable. There’s no such thing as perfection in this world. If something seems too perfect, it’s probably hiding something. Li Wenfeng was well-versed in etiquette, which might be his way of concealing his true self.

"Ghost," Ghost nodded slightly, introducing himself with only his name and no further conversation.

From Ghost’s tone, Lin Tian sensed his cold demeanor. It was clear from their first meeting that he wasn’t particularly fond of Li Wenfeng.

"Lin Tian, I really didn’t expect to see you here." Yuwen Luofei spoke up, not hiding her surprise and astonishment.

Lin Tian glanced at the two of them, puzzled. "Since our parting in Holy Spirit Town, I returned home. I just didn’t expect you both to come back too and to be here in Tang City."

"It’s all for the upcoming auction. We couldn’t possibly miss it," Li Wenfeng openly admitted his purpose, smiling slightly. Yuwen Luofei didn’t deny it, silently agreeing with Li Wenfeng’s explanation.

"However, I heard you need an invitation to enter the auction. Brother Lin, have you managed to get one?" Li Wenfeng asked, feigning concern.

Damn it, Lin Tian cursed silently. Knowing well how hard it was to get an invitation, yet he asks anyway, just to embarrass me in front of Yuwen Luofei. Is he still upset that his fiancée gave me a token?

What Lin Tian didn’t know was that the little gold knife pendant was something Yuwen Luofei had worn since she was young, an engagement token for Yuwen Family women. Li Wenfeng had never even touched it, and it had inexplicably ended up in Lin Tian’s hands. Any man would be envious, especially Li Wenfeng.

Yuwen Luofei frowned slightly, seemingly displeased with Li Wenfeng’s question. But Lin Tian calmly replied, "No need for Mr. Li to worry, I have my ways."

"Brother Lin, we still have shopping to do." Yun Xiaotian interjected, not liking people giving Lin Tian a hard time, especially those from the Li Family.

On the surface, the Yun and Li families were polite, but underneath they were rivals, if not outright enemies.

"Oh, Mr. Yun is busy, we won’t hold you up then. Let’s talk another day." Li Wenfeng said briskly without trying to persuade them further.

Lin Tian, not wanting to waste more words, waved goodbye to the two and walked away. Once Lin Tian was far enough, Yuwen Luofei suddenly said, "Li Wenfeng, we’re not exactly friends with Lin Tian, but we’re not enemies either. I hope you won’t embarrass him. Don’t forget, I owe him a favor."

"You’re mistaken, Luofei. I was just expressing genuine concern for Brother Lin. Besides, don’t you owe him a favor? If he can’t get in, you could use the Yuwen Family’s invitation to help him out and repay that favor, don’t you think?" Li Wenfeng said with apparent sincerity.

"I hope that’s all there is to it." Yuwen Luofei’s expression softened slightly, then she said, "Let’s go back. There’s no need to fuss over any jewelry; I never wear that stuff anyway."

With that, she turned and left without waiting for Li Wenfeng to respond. Watching her leave, a shadow briefly crossed Li Wenfeng’s eyes but quickly vanished.

By then, Lin Tian and the others had already gone up to the third floor. Yun Xiaotian glanced back, ensuring no one was following them, before asking, "Brother Lin, how do you know Li Wenfeng?"

"Yeah, Brother Tian, why does he sound so off when he speaks?" Ghost also asked curiously.

"Haha, you guys might not know, apart from being the eldest son and primary heir of the Li Family, he has another identity..." Lin Tian said with a slight smile, his tone casual.
