Young Master Vance Has An Enchanting Wife!-Chapter 305: Meeting the Parents?
Vincent Vance glanced at him coldly, quickly fired two more shots into the other shoulder.
"I said before, no one can touch my woman, not even you!"
After three shots, Logan Vance quickly collapsed to the ground, spitting blood and dying.
Seeing Logan shot dead, Jacob Jennings was a bit stunned, feeling that something was strange, but couldn’t quite pinpoint what was off.
Logically speaking, Logan Vance had been plotting for so long, and nearly succeeded, how could he be shot dead by Vincent so defenselessly?
But now Logan’s corpse was lying in front of him, leaving him no choice but to believe it.
"Young Master, should we hurry and leave?" Seeing Logan dead, Jacob quickly urged Vincent to leave.
But Vincent turned back unhurriedly to the courtyard. Holding the Jade Pendant given by Arthur Vance, he sliced open his palm and stained the pendant with his blood. Then, raising it towards the old woman floating in the air, a red light flashed instantly. The woman, upon seeing the red glow emanating from the Dragon-shaped Jade Pendant, screamed in horror and quickly vanished into the air.
Arthur Vance, before his death, had told Vincent how to use this pendant, so at this moment, he could easily subdue the old woman.
The situation finally came under control. Seeing the terrifying woman disappear, Jacob Jennings let out a slight breath of relief.
"Young Master, what should we do now?" Looking at the courtyard filled with corpses, Jacob couldn’t help but ask Vincent.
Vincent glanced around and ordered Jacob, "Call the police. The deceased, the compensation they deserve, we will double it."
"Understood!" Jacob realized his phone had been lost in the fight, and now, to make a call, he had to return to the car to fetch another phone. But as he turned back to the door, he suddenly found that Logan’s corpse, which should have been on the ground, had vanished without a trace.
"Young Master, Logan’s body is gone!" Seeing the empty ground, Jacob instinctively felt something was wrong and quickly called Vincent over to investigate.
Upon hearing this, Vincent hurried to the doorway, and indeed, on the empty grass, Logan’s body was nowhere to be seen.
He had personally shot him three times, ending his life. But why, in the blink of an eye, had the body disappeared?
Was it stolen? Or had something else happened?
"Young Master, look at the ground!" Jacob suddenly squatted down, pointing out the three bullet heads that had fallen to the ground for Vincent to see.
Jacob was familiar with his own gun and naturally its bullets too. Picking up one of the bullets and examining it, he assured Vincent, "Young Master, I can tell you with certainty, these are the three bullets that hit Logan."
The bullets that were fired and the unshot bullets are different, and the bullets that hit an object also differ from those that missed. Jacob was well experienced in this regard, and these three bullets, by their shape, were undoubtedly deformed from compression after hitting an object. And Jacob’s handgun was custom-made, so the bullets were, of course, unique.
Vincent narrowed his eyes slightly, squatted down, and picked up a bullet to examine it closely.
"So, Logan didn’t die, but escaped while we weren’t paying attention?"
If the bullets had indeed entered Logan’s body, they shouldn’t be lying neatly on the ground, unless Logan had some secret technique allowing him to quickly expel them to save his life. If so, wouldn’t that be too terrifying?
Vincent furrowed his brow, staring at the bullet in his hand, and in that moment, his heart sank. What he thought was the end was just the beginning of a battle.
What awaited them might be even more terrifying and thrilling than today’s fight.
Early in the morning, before May Morgan was even up, she heard Heather Holt at the door calling them: "Victor, May, are you up? Mom wants to discuss something with you two shortly."
With Heather’s shouting, May couldn’t stay in bed any longer. She sat up to see Victor Grant pitifully curled up with a blanket, asleep on the carpeted floor.
Looking at the pitiful Victor, May felt a bit guilty. This was his house, his room, and yet she had forced him to sleep on the floor. Had she gone too far?
Upon hearing his mother at the door, Victor quickly woke up, and seeing May watching him from the bed, he nervously asked her, "What happened? Was my sleeping position too unattractive last night, or did I snore?"
May couldn’t help but laugh at his words. He had actually been very quiet last night, neither moving nor snoring, because he had simply rolled off onto the floor!
"No, you were quite well-behaved later on. I just feel a bit guilty making you sleep on the floor."
Hearing May’s words, Victor smiled with relief and said, "That’s alright, as long as you slept well at night, I could sleep anywhere."
Heather Holt called out again at the door, "Victor, May, you two hurry up and get ready, your father will be here soon!"
Father? Whose father? Victor’s father?
May quickly thought it over, then realized it with a start, hastily pulling Victor up from the floor and nervously asking, "Your, your father is coming soon?"
Victor had discussed with his mom last night about having his dad come over to meet May and settle their wedding. Seeing May’s anxious expression, he quickly whispered to her, "Don’t be nervous. It’s probably just that my dad is lonely at home and came over to take his wife back, he’ll leave shortly!"
"Well, can I pretend to be sick and not meet him?" The thought of this being a blatant pre-marital parental meeting made May sweat in her palms.
Although she hadn’t met Victor’s father, she had somewhat familiarized herself with the Grant Group’s businesses since coming to Beldon City, and had researched Victor’s father, Justin Grant, online, only then realizing what a prominent figure he was because she had often seen that wealthy face online before, not knowing that this globally renowned man was actually the father of the rich heir Victor! 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
Justin Grant came today to see May Morgan, so if she pretended to be ill and didn’t meet, how would they discuss their marriage? Therefore, Victor had to drag May down to see his dad, no matter what.
"This might not be appropriate. Although my dad’s here mainly to take my mom back, he’s still our elder. Avoiding him might seem a bit disrespectful."
