Young Master Vance Has An Enchanting Wife!-Chapter 117: Catching Adultery in the Act
Melanie had hired some local people to make the curse for May, how was she supposed to know how to lift it? Now Vincent was asking her to explain, but she couldn’t say anything!
"Bullshit!" Seeing that Melanie seemed a bit dishonest, Jacob grabbed her hair and lifted her off the ground, slapping her to vent his anger: "You don’t know? The people you hired and you don’t know? Who are you trying to fool?" 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
Melanie covered her swollen face from the slap, answering in a small voice: "It’s true, I, I don’t know where that woman went. After she planted the Dragon Insect on May, she suddenly disappeared."
Vincent shot her a cold glance, then suddenly ordered Jacob in a chilling voice: "Since she doesn’t know anything, there’s no point in keeping her around. Kill her."
Upon hearing this, Jacob raised his gun and pressed it against Melanie’s chest, forcing her to say: "I originally wanted to ask the young master to spare you, but now it seems there’s no need."
"No, no, I’ll talk, I’ll talk!" Facing the dark muzzle of the gun, Melanie’s legs went weak, she immediately knelt before the two. Whether it was Vincent or Jacob, both were ruthless men she couldn’t afford to provoke.
Feeling irritated, Vincent tugged at his tie, asking her one last time: "You better tell me the truth; if you dare play tricks again, I won’t let you off."
"I know, I know, but young master, I really don’t know how to lift the curse. That old woman set them on May, I have no power to act. However, I know where that woman’s house is, I, I can take you to find her."
Upon hearing this, Jacob glanced at Vincent, and after a brief exchange of eye contact, Jacob pulled Melanie up off the ground and threatened her harshly: "Then you lead us there. If you dare play games, you’ll regret it."
After speaking, he intended to drag Melanie out with him, but Vincent stopped him: "Don’t move, stay here, I’ll take her out."
Vincent was more familiar with the Vance Residence than anyone else, and since Melanie was dressed in a maid’s outfit, having Vincent take her out would be much more convenient.
Moreover, since it was the patriarch who ordered her to seduce Melanie, presumably there must be a bigger trick waiting for them.
Jacob looked at Vincent in confusion, then threw the woman in his hands to Vincent, who grabbed Melanie by the shoulder, simultaneously taking the gun from his hand and pressing it against Melanie’s waist.
"I advise you to behave. Don’t think that just because we’re in the Vance Residence, the patriarch can protect you. Later you can try and see, whether my bullet is faster, or the patriarch’s orders!"
Pressing the gun against Melanie’s waist as they left, Vincent threatened her in a deep voice.
Melanie knew she couldn’t escape this ordeal, so she obediently nodded and replied: "Vincent, rest assured, I won’t play tricks. But, please promise not to kill me, okay?"
"You fear death? So how were you able to be so ruthless when you killed your grandmother?"
Thinking of May’s grandmother’s tragic death, Vincent couldn’t help but grip the gun tighter, coldly questioning her.
"I, I had no choice then. She kept holding onto that Jade Pendant, I could only use the knife to chop her. I really didn’t mean to kill her. I didn’t want to kill anyone." Facing Vincent’s questioning, Melanie suddenly put on a very aggrieved look and cried, as if she was unwilling when she killed her grandmother.
Vincent knew this woman was best at deception, so he didn’t buy her act. She had killed someone, how could it not be her decision?
"I’m warning you one last time, if you dare harm May again, I won’t let you have a peaceful death." Thinking about what she had done to May, he clenched his teeth in hatred. If it weren’t for her meddling, how could he and May suffer such hardship?
Once May’s curse was lifted, he would personally send this damn woman to hell, eliminating all future troubles.
After leaving the guest room with May, Vincent looked around, not seeing anyone in the corridor. With no one around, he quickly grabbed Melanie’s arm and forced her towards the small side elevator.
This elevator was rarely used, only during emergencies would someone use it. So when the two of them went inside, it was completely empty.
The elevator passageway led to the villa’s back door. As soon as they took the elevator down, they were outside the villa. Behind the villa was a garden, with lush trees perfect for concealing their figures.
Vincent pressured Melanie, making his way fairly smoothly to the arched small gate at the edge of the garden. This gate was also a back door, usually kept locked, and only opened under special circumstances, with the key held by Butler Lawson.
Don’t underestimate the small gate; the lock was electronically monitored, and any external force would be detected by the guards.
Vincent didn’t dare act recklessly, he pressed Melanie against the gate, then took out his phone to call Jacob, intending to have him get the key from Butler Lawson.
"Jacob, go help me get the key for the back door, it should be with Butler Lawson. I’ll wait for you at the back door."
Upon hearing this, Jacob quickly responded: "Okay, I’m on my way."
Jacob was specially trained, not only cultured and skilled in combat, but also somewhat proficient in picking locks. Although Butler Lawson never left the key out of his sight, if Jacob wanted, he could quickly get hold of it.
He hung up the phone, just about to open the door and leave, when the bedroom door was suddenly pushed open from outside.
"Young, young mistress, why are you here?"
Jacob looked up to see May suddenly appearing at the bedroom door, looking quite fierce, clearly intending to catch them in the act, realizing things were going south, he hurriedly asked.
May looked at the people in the room seeing Jacob, but no sign of Vincent, let alone Melanie, she skeptically glared at him asking: "Where’s Vincent?"
Jacob’s eyes darted about, feigning ignorance as he asked May: "Isn’t the young master supposed to be in a room with you? How would I know where he is?"
Knowing Jacob and Vincent were in cahoots, May couldn’t believe his words. She pushed aside Jacob blocking her path and headed towards the bathroom.
Tried pushing the bathroom door, but it was empty; pushing the toilet door, seeing none; the wardrobe? Nothing?
Alright, the guest room isn’t big, only this much space. If Vincent and Melanie were really hiding here, she shouldn’t miss them.
"Did the young mistress search everywhere? I told you the young master isn’t here, why don’t you believe me?" Jacob knew May’s sudden attempt to catch them red-handed must’ve been fueled by someone’s betrayal. Luckily, Vincent had taken Melanie away, or the consequences would’ve been unimaginable.
