In the heart of a blazing volcanic prison, a blonde haired goddess with an erotic and perfectly curved body lay stretched out on a sofa carved from a giant lava pillar as she had always been.

Her golden hair spilled over the glowing rock like molten silk while her full breasts rose and fell with every angry breath. Her long legs crossed lazily but her face showed pure disappointment and rage. She muttered to herself again and again.

"There is no way nobody heeds my call. I am the goddess. I am the only goddess. Why am I stuck here with these dirty devil creatures? They should all worship me. They should tremble at my name. Why does nobody heed my call and come here to rescue me?"

A small sad looking imp creature shuffled forward carrying a tray. The fruits on it were supposed to be fresh but in this burning biome everything turned to crisp black lumps. The imp bowed low with trembling hands and offered the tray.

The goddess glanced at the ruined food and her eyes narrowed.

"Look at this garbage. You call this an offering? Useless little worm."

She swung her powerful leg and kicked the imp hard. The tiny creature flew across the chamber and crashed into the wall with a thud. It whimpered but stayed alive because imps were tough.

The goddess stood up slowly. Her full height revealed itself and every imp in the area froze. She was a true giantess compared to them. Her erotic body towered like a living statue of perfection while the imps barely reached her knees.

"Fuck this world. Fuck everyone. I cannot stay here anymore. If what it takes for me to get my freedom is destroying this world so be it."

She muttered the words with venom in her voice. Then her whole body began to glow with bright golden light. She raised her hands and made slow careful motions in the air.

Her fingers traced glowing patterns that burned the very space around her. Her beautiful face twisted first. Her smooth skin darkened and cracked. Horns burst from her forehead.

Her erotic curves bulged into massive muscles. Her eyes turned blood red and her mouth filled with sharp fangs. In seconds the goddess had become a grotesque looking monster that made every imp scream in terror inside their minds.

They could not speak but they hid behind rocks and in cracks shaking with fear as they stared at the horrible creature.

The monster roared so loud the lava itself trembled. It raised one huge clawed hand and slammed it forward. A massive blast of dark energy exploded out. The entire mountain that had kept her prisoner burst apart in a deafening boom.

Rocks flew everywhere like fiery meteors. The goddess monster laughed in a deep horrible voice and leaped out through the hole she had made. She flew away into the dark sky leaving nothing but smoke and ruin behind.

The imps crept out one by one. They were unable to talk so they only looked at each other with wide scared eyes at first. Their small bodies still shook. But slowly their faces changed.

They started to grin and jump around in silent joy. They knew the bitch who had kept them enslaved for so long had finally left them. Freedom tasted sweet even in the ashes.

Meanwhile in a hidden Lan base in water biome far away from Norbata, Meiling stood beside the glowing sleeping cell where her mother Lan Xinyue lay still in deep sleep. Meiling spoke softly but her voice carried heavy pain.

"Mother, it has been so hard these past months. This world has become so ruined. I do not know if there is any future left for it at all. Every day brings more fighting more death more despair."

Meiling turned toward the sleeping cell and looked at her mother's peaceful but unmoving face.

"Mother I am sorry. I ruined our family. I made choices that tore us apart. I do not know if it would have been any different if you were here with us. Maybe you would not have let any of this happen in the first place. You always knew the right path. I wish you could wake up and tell me what to do now."

She wiped a tear from her eye and kept talking.

"Every night I ask myself the same question. Was there another way? Could I have saved us all? But the answer never comes. Only silence. You would have saved us all."

At that moment a random woman walked into the chamber. The woman bowed slightly.

"Lady Meiling we have discussed your proposition carefully. While some people are against it we are not going to go against you. If that is your decision to take us back to Norbata then we will follow. If that means we are going to get the respect we deserve as members of the Lan clan then we are ready." 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

Meiling turned to face her fully and gave a small nod of thanks.

"Good. I am glad most of you agree. They have better scientists and doctors there. They can help mother. They can help all of us. This is something we need for our people and for ourselves. We cannot keep hiding here forever while the world burns around us. We need to rise as Lan family again not in isolations but where we belong."

The woman nodded back.

"You speak truth Lady Meiling. Our people have suffered enough. A new home could give us hope again."

She turned to leave but then stopped and faced Meiling once more. Her voice dropped lower as if she is muttering something taboo.

"There is one more thing I must tell you. They found Lan Xue."

Meiling's eyes went wide with shock. She had not heard that name in such a long time. She had thought for sure Xue would be dead by now.

"Lan Xue? Are you certain? How is she? Tell me everything right now. Where the hell did you find her?"

The woman hesitated and looked down at the floor for a moment. Meiling stepped closer and insisted.

"Do not hold back. I need to know. How is Lan Xue? Speak plainly."

The woman finally answered in a quiet voice.

"Well we could say she is not very stable mentally right now. She keeps saying that angels will come and kill us all. She repeats over and over that the day of judgment is near. She screams it at anyone who comes close. Her mind seems broken by whatever she has seen. When we were patrolling the area we found some drug addicted gangs and Lady Xue was among them."

Meiling's face turned sour at once. She knew deep down that the angels were no myth anymore but hearing it from Xue still hit hard. Still Xue was the least of her concern right now. They had bigger problems.

"Thank you for telling me. But right now we must focus. We need to get ready to leave. Everyone prepare all our vehicles. Load the supplies and make sure the sleeping cell is secure for mother. We move out as soon as possible."

The woman saluted.

"At once Lady Meiling. I will see to it personally."

Just as the woman left the chamber a loud panic noise exploded from outside. Shouts and running footsteps filled the air. Meiling wondered what was going on and turned her head to look toward the entrance for a second.

"What is that noise? Is something wrong out there?"

She looked back at the sleeping cell where her mother Lan Xinyue was supposed to be. To her shock Lan Xinyue had disappeared out of nowhere. The glowing sleeping cell was now completely empty.

Meiling's heart dropped for a second seeing the empty cell.

At the same time sirens began to blare loudly all through the base. Red warning lights flashed everywhere. Meiling's heart raced as she heard the urgent reports coming over the speakers.

"Something is coming in our direction really fast. It is huge. It destroyed several buildings. Get ready everyone."

Meiling stared at the empty cell where her mother had been only moments ago. Fear and confusion mixed in her chest but she forced herself to stay calm. She raised her voice and gave new orders.

"Stay alert. Whatever is coming we will face it together. Secure the perimeter. Find mother at all costs. This may be our last stand before we reach Norbata."

The base erupted into controlled chaos as people ran to their posts. Meiling looked once more at the empty sleeping cell and whispered under her breath.

"Hold on mother. I'll find you wherever you are. I will not let anything stop us now. I will not let anything stop me going back to my darling!"

Outside the sirens kept screaming and the ground began to shake as the fast approaching threat drew closer and closer. The air itself felt heavier like the whole Lan base was holding its breath for what would happen next.
