Yama Reborn-Chapter 531 - 528 [Damn it!!]
Chapter Five Hundred and Twenty-Eight [Fuck!!]
BANG!
The figures of two combatants fell from the sky and plunged directly into Yulong Lake, churning the water and even creating a huge pit on the lakebed.
In the forest, flashes of lightning sparked, and Telekinesis slashed like blade edges; dozens of trees exploded as if struck by lightning.
Lu Xixi swung her Lightning Whip in the air, forcing down the countless Mentality Tentacles and Mentality Barriers released by the Wizard. However, Lu Xixi had already twisted upwards, her empty left fist striking the Wizard’s shoulder. The Wizard’s body suddenly soared out, crashing through two large trees before stabilizing on the ground, his expression contorted as he fiercely rubbed his shoulder.
Under the water, after a loud noise erupted, Lillian was seen flying backward out of the water, curled up like a shrimp. However, her entire body had turned into a diamond-like glow. Even though she was pounded out of the water, she remained steadily suspended mid-air, her mouth just spreading into a cold smile, "Chen Nuo, you’re not as strong as the legends say, are you?"
Below the surface of the water, Chen Nuo’s head emerged. He exhaled, raising a middle finger to the air. "I’d feel bad hitting a woman hard, you old witch! Pretending to be young at your age, did you slap on two pounds of foundation before coming out?"
At these words, Lillian’s face instantly filled with furious rage. Although she was a top Controller, a pinnacle human contender, she was, after all, a woman who cared greatly about her looks and age.
As a Controller, one could maintain a youthful appearance, but age itself could not be reduced. Her real age was actually in her fifties or sixties; her youthful appearance was maintained only by her Controller realm. But she always considered this a sore spot, particularly disliking others bringing up her age.
Now, being called out by Chen Nuo, Lillian’s face practically radiated a murderous aura. With a low growl, she suddenly opened her arms wide and dived, hurtling down like a cannonball and colliding head-on with Chen Nuo’s body!
Although Lillian was a female Controller, her ability was to infinitely strengthen her own body, its toughness reaching that of the hardest material, diamond. Thus, this ostensibly glamorous "Diamond Princess’s" combat style was, in fact, close-quarters Body Technique.
Relying entirely on close-quarters brawling!
The impact sent Chen Nuo, who had just surfaced, straight back down to the lakebed. The two Controllers bombarded each other at the bottom, punch for punch and kick for kick. The lake’s surface churned as if it were a pot of boiling water.
In the forest, the Wizard released Spiritual Force Tentacles ceaselessly, surrounding Lu Xixi from all directions like dense webs. However, with her Lightning Whip in hand, electricity darted around, shattering the pressing forces of Telekinesis.
It was as if the two were competing in a battle of attrition; the first to exhaust their energy would be defeated.
But both were powerful top contenders, and for a while, neither gained the upper hand.
At that moment, from beneath the waters, Chen Nuo was somehow thrown straight out and onto the surface. He stood mid-air and fiercely spat out a mouthful of bloody saliva. Lillian emerged from the water, her face pale, teeth clenched as she stared at Chen Nuo in mid-air.
"This woman is too tough, punching her hurts like hell!" Chen Nuo turned and roared at Lu Xixi.
Lu Xixi gritted her teeth. "Then you take on the Wizard! Let’s switch opponents."
"I’ll pass," Chen Nuo shook his head immediately.
At that moment, Lillian glanced at the Wizard and bellowed, "Time’s up!"
The Wizard’s heart skipped a beat! He quickly unleashed hundreds of Mentality Tentacles, pushing Lu Xixi back two steps, and then roared, "Switch!!"
"Fine!"
Lillian shouted, already leaping to the ground and rushing headlong toward the Wizard. Chen Nuo’s eyelids twitched. "Don’t be scared, old lady! Your opponent is me!"
But as soon as Lillian darted into the woods, Chen Nuo had only taken two steps when a figure flashed before him, and the Wizard was already standing in his way.
"Chen Nuo, your opponent now is me! Let the ladies have their fun," the Wizard said with a cruel sneer. "You owe me for the last time you ambushed me, and today you will repay that debt."
Chen Nuo curled his lips disdainfully.
"What, are you planning to use some kind of trick again? Or do you want to snatch a kidney or liver?" the Wizard said through gritted teeth.
In the woods, Lillian was charging at Lu Xixi with great speed. Lu Xixi’s Lightning Whip had just shattered the Telekinesis net the Wizard had left around them when Lillian, her entire body like a flowing current, collided with her.
It was as if she crashed directly into Lu Xixi’s arms, and the two women embraced and tumbled away together. The woods were left in a mess; even a hillside was breached by the pair.
Lu Xixi’s Lightning Whip had vanished at some point. Only when her fist, crackling with electricity, finally tossed Lillian off her did the two women separate.
"Star Sky Empress, today we’ll see who is the strongest female Controller!"
"PFFT."
Lu Xixi spat out a mouthful of muddy saliva and frowned at Lillian. "Do you know why you can never beat me?"
"Hmm?"
"Because you think by defeating me, you will become the strongest female Controller.
"But I’ve never considered you a competitor. What I think is, by defeating—everyone, regardless of gender—I am the strongest Controller!
"That’s why you only dare to snarl at me, but you don’t dare to challenge the Wizard.
"Whereas I have chased the Wizard all over Europe, making him hop around desperately and shut himself away in escape.
"Lillian, this is the difference between us. To use a phrase my husband often says, ’You’re thinking too small.’"
Lillian seemed to be hit where it hurt; her expression stiffened, yet she couldn’t speak a word.
Just at that moment, the Wizard let out a great shout, "Here it comes!!"
Suddenly, intense energy fluctuations appeared in the sky, and then space seemed to be torn apart by a violent force. From that rift, a figure sped out and fell from the sky!
With a loud thud, he landed by the lakeshore, right beside the woods!
He just happened to stand next to Chen Nuo.
At this moment, the newcomer, Chen Nuo, and the Wizard happened to form a triangular stance.
The person took a deep breath. "Fresh air... Good evening, everyone!"
He lifted his head, and his eyes swept over the surroundings ominously, finally resting on Chen Nuo. "Long time no see, Mr. Chen Nuo."
"Nolan! You arrived a bit later than expected."
"I had no choice; I had to be careful to deceive the old monster. But we now have at least ten minutes before the old monster realizes I’ve left New York."
"Ten minutes, that’s enough time for both of us to go full force and deal with him!" The Wizard’s eyes were also filled with murderous intent. His body now emanated waves of Telekinesis, his spiritual power soaring rapidly!
Chen Nuo’s expression turned cold, and he frowned. "Is your target me?"
But the Wizard no longer answered, instead letting out a low growl: "Kill!"
BOOM!
In an instant, seven or eight Spiritual Storms crazily smashed head-on, as if he were lavishly squandering his spiritual power with no concern for the cost.
The Wizard attacked with full strength right from the start. He knew that against a top-level Controller, a single Spiritual Storm was just child’s play. Only a resolute full-power assault could be effective!
Indeed, the seven or eight Spiritual Storms were blocked by the Mentality Barrier swiftly manifested by Chen Nuo, but ultimately they couldn’t be completely dissipated. Against the intensity of Controller-level spiritual power, under the impact of seven or eight Spiritual Storms, Chen Nuo finally experienced a half-second delay in mental reaction.
But for an opponent of the Controller Level, half a second was already enough!
The Wizard’s spiritual attack was thwarted, but it also tied down Chen Nuo’s power. Meanwhile, Nolan had vanished, using Instantaneous Movement to appear at Chen Nuo’s side, his palm fiercely stabbing towards Chen Nuo’s armpit.
Despite the slowdown in his mental awareness, Chen Nuo still managed to react, quickly dodging away. But with a muffled groan, his armpit ripped open, his clothing torn, and flesh bloodied by Nolan’s strike.
Before Chen Nuo could steady himself, the Wizard’s second wave of attack was already upon him, a dense web of Telekinesis enveloping him from all sides. Chen Nuo bellowed, hastily erecting Mentality Barriers all around himself and fiercely countering the attack.
But Nolan had once again used Instantaneous Movement to appear right in front of him. This time Chen Nuo was prepared, and the Alloy Dagger Nolan clutched swiped at empty air, deflected by Chen Nuo’s quick backhand slap. But in that split second of distraction, the Mentality Barrier shattered. The Wizard had already rushed in, inches away, sending another Spiritual Storm blasting right onto Chen Nuo’s body.
Chen Nuo knew he was in a bad spot and forcibly compressed his Consciousness Space. Under the barrage of the Spiritual Storm, he retreated as fast as he could, without regard for anything else.
Sure enough, he felt Nolan’s blade whisk past, nearly grazing his nose.
Chen Nuo cursed out loud.
In the forest, Lu Xixi had already changed her position several times trying to rush over, only to be fiercely blocked by Lillian. Lillian’s body hardened, turning her into a translucent diamond-like figure. She exchanged several blows with Lu Xixi, seemingly indifferent to the attacks, just staunchly blocking and preventing Lu Xixi from breaking through to support Chen Nuo.
"Lu Xixi! You can’t get through! Your man is doomed today! Even if I’m no match for you, even if I’m severely injured, I can hold you for ten minutes. That’s enough! Ten minutes, with two Controllers working together, is enough to kill your man!"
Lu Xixi, hearing Chen Nuo’s cursing and roaring from afar, looked even more displeased. Sparks of electricity flickered in her hand as she clashed with Lillian. Despite forcing Lillian to retreat repeatedly, she ultimately failed to break through.
From afar, Chen Nuo’s furious shout was suddenly heard: "Wizard, you bastard! Even if I die today, I’ll drag you to hell with me!"
Then there was a loud explosion. A deep spiritual power burst forth, mixed with the Wizard’s cries of agony. Chen Nuo laughed heartily. "Come on then! Whoever comes at me first, I’ll drag you to die with me!"
But despite Chen Nuo’s loud laughter, there was pain in his voice, clearly indicating that he too was seriously injured.
Lu Xixi’s gaze flickered a few times before she suddenly raised her eyelids and fixed her eyes on Lillian for a moment. "Do you really think you’ve succeeded?"
Lillian suddenly felt a sinking feeling in her heart. "What?"
"Ah..." Lu Xixi suddenly relaxed her tightly clenched fists, a strange smile appearing on her face. "What a pity, Lillian..."
"Hey!!!! Woman, if you don’t come and help me now, I’m really going to get killed!!!" Chen Nuo’s roar came again from a distance.
"Three minutes!!" Lu Xixi raised her voice and shouted. "Even if it’s two against one, you’re a mighty Controller. Can’t you last three minutes?"
"Three minutes, no prob—FUCK! Wizard, you sneak-attacked again! I’ll let you sneak-attack!!"
BOOM!!
After a loud bang, the Wizard retreated again. Chen Nuo’s wild laughter followed. "That blow should be enough for you to remember for half a year! Damn it! Nolan! Don’t let me catch you!"
Lu Xixi withdrew her gaze and looked at Lillian. "Alright, we have three minutes."
Lillian suddenly started to laugh. "Three minutes? Lu Xixi! I admit you’re a bit stronger than me... But if you want to defeat me, three minutes? I could go all out and still hold you off for ten minutes without a problem!"
But Lu Xixi shook her head. "Who said I need three minutes to defeat you?"
"?" Lillian suddenly felt that sinking feeling again, an uneasy premonition creeping up on her.
Because the Lu Xixi in front of her seemed to be rapidly diminishing in presence. As she finished speaking, the fluctuation of power from Lu Xixi’s body had almost completely vanished!
It was as though... you could clearly see the person standing before you, but from a Controller’s sense of power, there was no one there at all.
"Killing you will take only one minute! The remaining two minutes were for idle chatter before you die. Now... the idle chatter time is up!"
After saying this, Lu Xixi winked at Lillian with a smile.
Lillian: "You..."
She didn’t have time to finish her sentence! Because, Lu Xixi suddenly moved!
BOOM!
Chen Nuo had once again fallen into the lake. He seemed to have found a trick. When fighting on flat ground, being attacked by two Controller Level opponents, the Wizard’s Telekinesis could suppress him, severely delaying his own power, while also using strong spiritual power to limit his sensory speed. And that Nolan, his ability was to apparently break open space at will, creating effects similar to Instantaneous Movement, with his figure constantly flickering, ghost-like, to get close and deliver slashes, making it impossible for him to defend effectively. This combat style was too disadvantageous for me on the ground. So I voluntarily retreated to the bottom of the lake. Underwater, Nolan’s Instantaneous Movement ability was weakened... because although my Spiritual Sensing Ability was suppressed by the Wizard, once Nolan used Instantaneous Movement underwater, water ripples would naturally appear, providing me with a physical early warning. After a few exchanges underwater with the three top-tier experts, I was already resisting with all my might, even giving up on counterattacking and focusing entirely on defense, yet I still suffered seven or eight wounds. One of them pierced through my lung; forcibly relying on the Controller’s power over my body, I managed to mend the injury. But the tide of defeat was apparent; if this continued, even if I braced myself with all my might, I could only last a few more minutes at best. And if I attempted to flee... both Controllers were no less powerful than me, especially Nolan, with his ability to use Instantaneous Movement through space; he could always catch up and entangle me, then the Wizard would arrive, reforming the two-on-one situation.
Traces of blood seeped upwards in the water; waves churned violently at the edge of the lake. Chen Nuo had retreated to the center of the lakebed.
Once again, the Wizard repeated his old trick, manipulating the water with Telekinesis to press down. Chen Nuo resisted once more, all the while keeping a third of his attention on searching for the vanished Nolan.
But this time, Nolan was nowhere to be seen.
Just as despair crept into Chen Nuo’s heart, a sudden pain shot through his foot from below!
An Alloy Dagger stabbed through the sole of his foot from beneath. Then, with a BOOM, Nolan burst up from the lakebed, stabbing twice in quick succession – once in Chen Nuo’s lower abdomen and once in his femoral artery.
Chen Nuo, seeing no other choice, sprang upwards at great speed, bursting through the water surface. With a fierce kick, he sent Nolan’s dagger flying from his hand, and with another kick, sent Nolan himself hurtling away as he rapidly retreated.
But just at that moment, the Wizard had already set several Telekinetic cords behind him, which immediately bound Chen Nuo tight.
Chen Nuo let out a low growl and struggled fiercely with his spirit. The Wizard’s face turned pale, his forehead covered in beads of sweat, his whole body drenched, yet he forcefully gathered his spiritual power regardless of everything and sneered, "Chen Nuo! Your spiritual power has not improved as much as I expected! I remember you being an outstanding Spiritual-type expert, but in two years, you have only progressed this far. You truly disappoint me!"
Chen Nuo no longer had the strength to retort and merely clenched his teeth, summoning all his spiritual power to contend.
At this moment, Nolan, on the ground, had also recovered and scrambled up. An Instantaneous Movement brought him behind Chen Nuo. Brandishing another Alloy Dagger that had appeared from nowhere, he plunged it fiercely towards the back of Chen Nuo’s head...
"Die!"
A gleam sparkled in Nolan’s eyes. As the blade of the dagger almost touched Chen Nuo’s scalp, his gaze carried a mix of madness and elation!
It’s done!
Done...??
Huh?
All of a sudden, the dagger froze, not moving an inch!
A delicate strand of Telekinesis, crackling with electric light, entangled the dagger!
Nolan looked up, only to feel a powerful force yanking. The dagger flew out of his hand and shattered in mid-air under a bolt of lightning!
Then, as he spun around, he saw Lu Xixi, her seaweed-like long hair fluttering. Her peerlessly stunning face was just a step away.
"?? "
Nolan had no time to react before Lu Xixi’s hand landed on his chest.
BANG!
A bolt of lightning struck him, piercing through his body, and then countless violent electric snakes burst from his back!
Nolan forcibly initiated an Instantaneous Movement, but after moving laterally several dozen meters, his body heavily collapsed on the ground. He felt as though his ribs, lungs, and spine were riddled with holes!
Seeing Nolan struggling to breathe, Lu Xixi, hovering in mid-air, raised her hand and brought down a thunderbolt!
In Nolan’s eyes, he saw the lightning getting ever closer...
All at once, a wave of spiritual force came from the left, forcefully knocking Nolan’s body aside, sending him tumbling over ten meters away. This was followed by a BOOM—where Nolan had been lying was now scorched earth, sand and stone blasted apart.
The Wizard landed on the ground, quickly approaching Nolan, then gave him a glance.
Nolan, forcibly using his Controller’s ability to mend his severe injuries, barely managed to stand up, looking incredulously at Lu Xixi. "How is that possible... What about Lillian?!"
The Wizard’s expression darkened, but his gaze shifted toward another direction in the woods.
On a hillside, there was Lillian.
She was splayed out, her arms and legs twisted like pretzels. Sharp sticks pierced through each thigh and her torso, pinning her securely to the hillside, hanging there!
The Wizard’s hands trembled slightly, and Nolan’s face grew stiff. "Impossible... Even so, she was among the elite of Controllers. How could you... You only took one minute..."
"To be precise, forty-seven seconds," Lu Xixi said, slowly closing in on the two. She then called out loudly, "Old man, are you alright?"
"I won’t die!" came Chen Nuo’s response from behind.
The drenched Chen Nuo landed on the ground, standing behind Lu Xixi. Under the unpleasant gazes of the Wizard and Nolan, his facial contours gradually changed, his body slowly morphing, eventually turning into an old man who appeared to be in his fifties or sixties.
Well, at least the two recognized this esteemed figure.
The Wizard gritted his teeth as if tasting blood. "Son of the Sun... Gomez, you old bastard..." 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
The Son of the Sun shook his head. "If it wasn’t for having to impersonate Chen Nuo and being unable to use my own solar power... only mimicking Chen Nuo’s psychic attacks to duel with you, do you think you’d have beaten me so badly?"
"Pah! Even if you didn’t use your own techniques, it’s midnight now, and you don’t get the boost of midday sunlight. Your power is still reduced. One on one, if you didn’t run, I’d have no trouble killing you!" the Wizard said coldly through clenched teeth.
The Son of the Sun smirked. "Youngster, don’t always shout about fighting and killing. I’ve lived long enough to learn one thing: use your head!"
The Wizard ignored the sharp-tongued old man and focused on Lu Xixi, then whispered, "Have you broken through? To Lord Level?"
Lu Xixi shook her head.
"Impossible. If you aren’t at Lord Level, how could you possibly cripple Lillian in just forty-seven seconds? This kind of power isn’t on the same level anymore."
Lu Xixi sighed and looked at the Wizard with a hint of pity in her eyes. "You don’t understand, Wizard. Without reaching this realm, even if I explained it to you, you wouldn’t understand. But although I haven’t truly broken through, dealing with the two of you is still not a problem. I called the old man over simply to set up a situation where you would both show yourselves so I could deal with you both at once and leave no loose ends."
"So, you knew we were watching in secret," the Wizard sighed. "...I guess... it was... Vanel?"
「Room 504.」
At the door, the fat man steadied himself, wheezing. He propped his hands on his knees, gasping for a full minute before he reached out and banged on the door.
"Open up! I’m back!"
"Open up?"
"Huh?"
He fumbled in his pocket for a long time before finally pulling out a Key, inserted it into the lock, and turned...
After the door opened, the fat man took two steps inside.
The living room light was on, and the scent of the New Year’s dinner still lingered in the air...
But where was everyone?
He stepped further into the living room, just past a wall, when suddenly a strong gust of wind came from the side!
BOOM!
A coffee table crashed onto the fat man, shattering!
Simultaneously, a figure flew out horizontally, smashing directly onto the balcony, breaking through the glass and flying out!
The fat man stood still for a moment, dazed, then quickly rushed to the balcony and reached out, grabbing the hand that was desperately clutching the edge of the balcony railing.
Vanel dangled in mid-air, groaning, his head spinning. He felt a force pull him back, and he tumbled onto the floor.
He was completely disoriented, his head buzzing. He struggled to open his eyes, only to see a huge head looming before him—well, to be precise, a very large and wide face.
A face full of fleshy folds, as if its features were stretched wide apart.
Vanel watched as this face approached his own, a surprised smile spreading across it.
"Davarishi! What are you doing in my house?"
"You... are... huh?" Vanel’s eyes widened.
In the next instant, he was hauled up from the ground and embraced fiercely.
For a moment, Vanel felt like he wasn’t being hugged by a person, but by Godzilla!!
His bones creaked and then... SNAP!
SNAP! SNAP! SNAP! SNAP!!
His arm bones broke on the spot, along with a rib!
The Bear Warrior was forced to roar out his native curse: "FUCK!!!!" He wailed in pain, "You’re going to kill me..."
"What the fuck?" The fat man quickly let go of Vanel. Seeing Vanel’s breath was faint, he slapped his forehead. "Wait!"
He turned and ran off, returning a moment later holding a box.
"This is Little Candy’s equipment hidden in the house. I remember there’s serum from a Self-Healing Ability User. Here, Davarishi, take this shot!"
Take this shot?
A million curses churned in Vanel’s stomach.
But staring at the distorted, swollen face of the fat man in front of him, listening to that familiar, jeering voice...
Vanel had a sudden thought and ventured, "That... you are... Davarishi?"
"It’s me! Yes, it’s me, Davarishi!! Damn it, just because I gained a measly two hundred pounds, you don’t recognize me anymore?"
"Chen... Sukabule!! Are you really Chen Nuo?!"
Vanel stared wide-eyed at the man before him. "Or... are you a monster that ate Chen Nuo?"
Chen Nuo no longer paid attention to him. He carefully took Vanel’s broken arm, repositioned it, then, holding the syringe, gave him an injection of the serum.
"Sorry, Davarishi, my strength has been a bit uncontrollable lately. I wasn’t supposed to come back so early, but, you know, it’s New Year’s... Um, why are you in my house? Where are my wife and kids?"
