The sun peeked through the clouds, scattering its light in fragments. The dappled light stretched the shadows of the ancient trees that lined the street.

Within the elongated shadows, a dark figure stood there as if blending into the light and shade, yet distinctly present.

With a head of dark green hair, the figure was enveloped in an oversized black trench coat. Other than the binoculars held up before his eyes, nothing else was discernibly clear.

In the fist-sized lenses, two figures approached from the distance, drawing nearer.

The figure’s pupils sharply contracted at the sight of the two, but soon returned to a calm state.

As Bai Lan watched Ye Tian slowly approach, she subconsciously straightened her proud chest, her voice carrying a hint of laziness, "You little rascal, why did you come so early today?"

"It’s because I missed you." Ye Tian walked up to Bai Lan with a devilish smile and wrapped his arms around her.

"I missed you so much I couldn’t sleep, just eager to see you." Ye Tian whispered in Bai Lan’s ear as he nestled close to her cheek.

Bai Lan felt her ears burning; her face was already flushed red. She gave Ye Tian a look, her eyes carrying an indescribable allure.

This little rascal, not considering the occasion, is getting handsy with someone, but then again, such rascals are indeed enchanting!

Ye Tian watched Bai Lan with her shy demeanor.

But that was enough; reluctantly, she pushed Ye Tian away. Bai Lan pursed her lips, savoring the lingering sensation.

"Alright, I have to go to work." She gazed at Ye Tian affectionately. If it weren’t for her need to strive for the company, she would wish to spend all day, every day, with this man!

"Go ahead." Ye Tian watched Bai Lan quietly. For some reason, all the women he’d been with had their own styles, each making him feel quite fond of them.

"Shall I come over to your place to check on you tonight?" Ye Tian asked, a hint of anticipation in his eyes.

"I’m so busy with work I could die; don’t come." Bai Lan rolled her eyes at Ye Tian, her face baring a look of plaintive longing, "Wait till I have a day off, then you can come over."

"Alright then." Ye Tian nodded, knowing there’d be plenty of time in the future. He waved Bai Lan off, "I should head back to my security booth."

"Pfft." Bai Lan couldn’t help but chuckle as she stepped into the company, her expression returning to its usual sternness.

Apart from Ye Tian, how many others could witness her tenderness and the beauty of a woman?

As for Ye Tian, he turned and headed towards the security booth. He was almost there when his phone in his pocket suddenly rang.

Ye Tian took out the phone irritably, but upon seeing the name displayed on the screen, he was somewhat surprised.

"Hungry Wolf?"

Without giving it much thought, he quickly answered the phone.

"Boss, you remember the thing about dealing with the Du Family last time, right?"

Starving Wolf was buzzing urgently on the other end of the line, his tone somewhat anxious.

"Mmm, swimming, of course I’ll go." Ye Tian thought for a moment and nodded; swimming was a great activity where he could fully use his ’x-ray vision’.

"Great," Feifei seemed genuinely excited on the other end, "So, Big Brother Ye, let’s not stand each other up this afternoon."

"Mmm." Ye Tian hummed in response and flashed a wicked smile, "Do you want me to check out the scenery underneath?"

"Stop it." Feifei pouted, noticeably embarrassed, "I just wanted to swim with you."

"Alright then." Ye Tian chuckled teasingly, "Make sure you don’t wear anything underneath that bikini this afternoon."

"Hmph, mind your own business." Feifei huffed over the phone before hanging up, likely overwhelmed by Ye Tian’s provocation.

"Am I getting in too deep with all these romantic debts?" Listening to the phone hang up, Ye Tian pocketed the phone and muttered to himself, then shook the thought off with a carefree laugh.

What the hell, it’s not my fault for being such an outstanding guy, attracting all these beauties. There’s just no helping it.

The more women he had, the happier he became. Taking them all in, how could he live up to himself if he didn’t sleep with every beautiful woman he saw?

Setting aside Ye Tian’s situation for now, in another part of town, a desolate alley, Du Bin wandered the streets in a disheveled and soulless state.

"It was just a temporary setback. Give me a chance and I will kill Ye Tian for good!" he roared savagely, devoid of any humanity, like a vengeful wolf.

"Oh?" The man in green watched Du Bin’s frenzied state and smirked mockingly, "With you in this state, you still think you can kill Ye Tian? How laughable."

Already on the verge of madness, Du Bin grew even more agitated upon hearing this remark, practically jumping to his feet.

"I said, give me some forces to command, and a chance, and I will kill Ye Tian!" he yelled loudly.

"I don’t have forces to offer you," the man in green paused before chuckling, "But I can give you power, at a price."

At these words, Du Bin froze; he didn’t know this man in green and didn’t trust his words.

He looked up, about to refuse, but then he caught the mocking glint in the green-clothed man’s eyes, and instantly his thoughts turned to Ye Tian!

He quickly caught on, gazing at the man in green, "As long as I get my revenge, I don’t care about the price. But can you really give me the power?"

His voice was laced with resentment, his mind filled with images of the detestable Ye Tian!

"Fine, I’ll give you power," the man in green smiled and pulled out a golden silkworm!

The silkworm writhed softly in the man’s hand, almost twice as large as a normal silkworm!

"This is the Golden Silkworm Gu. Eat it, and you’ll have the strength you need for revenge." The man in green presented the silkworm to Du Bin, watching him calmly.

As Du Bin stared at the worm, he felt nauseated, but the thought of what Ye Tian had done to him pushed the disgust aside; what was a little revulsion compared to his desire for vengeance?

Holding this thought, he picked up the worm and stuffed it into his mouth, swallowing it with a gulp.

But instead of the anticipated disgust, a searing pain exploded in his lower abdomen and rapidly spread throughout his entire body!

"Aahhh!" He fell to the ground in agony, writhing in pain.

"Why is this happening?" Du Bin writhed on the ground, looking up at the man in green, "Are you deceiving me?"

The man in green shook his head, the amusement deepening on his face.

He crouched down, peering at Du Bin as he struggled violently, "If you can withstand this, then in one day, you’ll be as powerful as Superman, except for flying."

While still rolling around, Du Bin bit down hard; despite the agony, he refused to cry out.

He could feel it—the pain was paving the way for an immense force about to burst forth from within him!

He had to endure it, to kill that damn Ye Tian!
