X-ray Eyes Little Wild Doctor-Chapter 182 - 177: The Toad Wants to Eat Swan Meat
Chapter 182: Chapter 177: The Toad Wants to Eat Swan Meat
The taxi stopped in front of the five-star hotel, and the excited Liu Fei’er and Tang Zhuzhu were the first to get out of the car.
In front of the hotel’s elegantly decorated revolving door, a uniformed doorman was yawning. Glancing at the shabby taxi, he could hardly be bothered to come over – if it weren’t for the two beautiful women getting out of the car, he wouldn’t even want to look.
Just when he was feeling lazy, the doorman saw a young man get out of the taxi’s passenger seat. The youth was dressed very ordinarily, with sneakers and jeans, indistinguishable from anyone else on the street.
But seeing the youth’s familiar face, the doorman’s eyes bulged, and he scampered into the lobby in a flurry to notify the hall manager, exclaiming, "Mr. Ye has arrived!"
The manager was scolding a waiter when he heard the doorman’s words and, annoyed, asked, "Which Mr. Ye? Speak clearly, how have I taught you usually?"
"It’s Ye Tian! The big boss’s benefactor! The one who took down Furious King Kong!" The doorman naturally referred to Wang Bingbing as the big boss.
"What!" The manager immediately became solemn with respect, "Why didn’t you say so sooner? What are you standing there for? Hurry, get everyone to come out with me, welcome Mr. Ye with the warmest scene possible."
"Yes, yes, I’ll go do it right away," the doorman hurried off to inform his colleagues.
The hall manager straightened his suit and scurried out through the revolving door, his face beaming with excessive eagerness, bowing and scraping before Ye Tian, and quickly inviting Mr. Ye into the hotel. He asked if Ye needed any service or if he should notify Sister Bing.
Ye Tian shrugged his shoulders, a bit impatiently said, "Go about your business. I only came here to have a meal, no need for such a fuss."
Liu Fei’er and Tang Zhuzhu, standing by the side, were already stunned. The five-star hotel had a massive reputation in Jiangcheng City, and many important leaders, when inspecting the area, often chose this hotel as their accommodation.
This middle-aged man, as the manager of the hotel, naturally rose in status, belonging to the type of person ordinary people could hardly ever see.
But such a high-status manager was now kowtowing to Ye Tian, full of sycophantic smiles, the intent to ingratiate himself was blatantly obvious – something anyone could see.
Neither Liu Fei’er nor Tang Zhuzhu were foolish, they had already understood that Ye Tian’s status must be even more prestigious, even somewhat frightening.
By this time, the doorman had already gathered a large group of service staff at the hotel entrance, standing in two rows – all uniformed young women cooing welcome slogans, with several male colleagues, banging gongs and drums at the side. If two rows of colorful flags were added, the scene would be comparable to the mayor’s personal visit.
Ye Tian, too, was helpless. His glorious feat of punching out Furious King Kong must have spread throughout the five-star hotel, and he’d only come out to eat casually, not meaning to make a big scene. But with the manager making such a fuss, he really felt a bit uncomfortable.
"Just have them tone it down," Ye Tian simply commanded, and the hall manager immediately understood Mr. Ye to be a low-profile person who didn’t like showing off, rushing to quiet down his subordinates.
This sight truly shocked Liu Fei’er and Tang Zhuzhu. As girls from ordinary families, they had never witnessed such a scene, nor lived with such glory. Although they didn’t say it, they were both overjoyed.
They were very clear in their minds that they were basking in Ye Tian’s light.
"The two beautiful ladies, let’s go. Brother is treating you to seafood, how does that sound?" Ye Tian smiled slightly and led Liu Fei’er and the others inside the hotel.
Surrounded by people and treated as if they were princesses, Liu Fei’er and Tang Zhuzhu truly experienced the VIP treatment, their hearts fluttering with excitement and a sweet nervousness.
As Ye Tian passed the parking lot, he noticed a supercar and couldn’t help stopping to take a curious look – it was actually a McLaren.
The manager hurried over and attentively asked, "What’s wrong, Mr. Ye?"
"Nothing, nice car," Ye Tian responded after looking at the familiar McLaren. He shrugged his shoulders and, without saying anything more, turned and went into the hotel’s lobby with Liu Fei’er and the others.
The three of them were intending to have a simple meal near the windows, but the enthusiastic manager kept persuading and insisted that Mr. Ye go to the top-level private room upstairs.
"Mr. Ye, please do me the honor. If Sister Bing finds out I’ve neglected you, I won’t have a job anymore. I beg you, please don’t make things hard for me," the hall manager pleaded with Ye Tian almost in tears.
"All right then," Ye Tian agreed, not wanting to trouble the man, seeing as he meant well.
They took the elevator up, and the docile manager had already arranged a luxurious suite with a soft wool carpet on the floor, silver candlesticks on the dining table, and white candles already lit, making the room warm and lavish.
A European butler dressed in a silk vest served red wine, filling crystal glasses for the three with grace, while maids brought out a full platter of fruit placed on the side table. These fruits weren’t for eating but for adding a fruity aroma and ambiance; it was a life fit for royalty.
Sitting on overly large silver-trimmed chairs, Liu Fei’er and Tang Zhuzhu felt slightly out of their element. The grandeur of the occasion made the two ordinary girls quite nervous, yet they were excited beyond measure, living the dream of being princesses for a night.
Sumptuous dishes were served one after another, and Ye Tian chatted idly, occasionally cracking a witty, humorous joke that made the girls giggle, but they dared not show their teeth lest it clash with the aristocratic atmosphere.
"Is Yun Xinyan here with her McLaren 675LT parked downstairs? Shouldn’t she be at the company at this time?"
Ye Tian’s mind was still on the supercar parked in front of the hotel. He recognized it instantly, as he had personally purchased it, and didn’t even need to check the license plate.
The bespectacled beauty Tang Zhuzhu was a foodie. As the conversation proceeded and the atmosphere loosened up, she finally revealed her true gluttonous nature, trying a bit of every dessert. With the taste of the delicacies, her eyes immediately sparkled with delight, as if she had never tasted anything so delicious.
"Zhuzhu, can you eat a bit slower, aren’t you afraid of gaining weight?" Liu Fei’er teased as she reached out to tickle her, which made Tang Zhuzhu laugh merrily, further lightening the mood.
Ye Tian said, "It’s okay to be a bit chubby. From now on, we can call her Tang Piggy, haha."
"Pfft!" Liu Fei’er burst out laughing and chided, "Ye Tian, you always come up with such wicked ideas, giving Zhuzhu such an ugly nickname. But I like it, hahaha."
Feigning fury, Tang Zhuzhu retorted, "Oh, really? ’When the husband sings, the wife must follow,’ huh? Fei’er, you traitor, choosing love over friendship!"
"Don’t talk nonsense." Liu Fei’er’s face turned red at the accusation.
Immediately seizing the opportunity, Tang Zhuzhu teased, "Ooo, look who’s blushing!"
The two girls chatted and giggled nonstop, quickly escalating from conversation to playful roughhousing.
Seizing the chance to excuse himself to the restroom, Ye Tian stepped out of the presidential suite and found the lobby manager to inquire about the owner of the McLaren. As he had suspected from the lobby manager’s words, Yun Xinyan was indeed in the hotel, and on the same floor no less.
"Ms. Yun is in room 1202 right next to you. It seems like she’s meeting with a client, but apparently, she’s not in a good mood," the lobby manager shared all the information he had with Ye Tian.
"Okay, I got it. Go about your business," Ye Tian dismissed him.
Before the lobby manager had gone far, a cleaning lady came by, her trash can filled with broken plates and shattered wine bottles. The manager immediately inquired what had happened.
"The guests in room 1202 did it. They ruined a perfectly good meal. You can’t waste like that just because you’re rich," the cleaning lady remarked regretfully.
"Have they settled the bill and left?" asked the manager.
"No, they ordered another table of dishes and are still in there, arguing even louder," the cleaning lady shook her head with a sigh, unable to understand the behavior of these affluent individuals who never worried about food or drink.
Ye Tian, with a cigarette dangling from his lips, strolled leisurely to the door of room 1202. The door was closed, and the high-quality wooden door was pretty soundproof, but even that couldn’t hinder his world-class hearing, let alone his unparalleled x-ray vision.
Yun Xinyan was indeed seated in the room, accompanied by a few close female subordinates. Sitting opposite her was Yun Feng, an old man with a smile plastered across his face, ceaselessly offering food to a young man dressed in fine clothes, affectionately calling him Young Master Wang, eager to please.
Young Master Wang was not very tall and had a pale complexion, suggesting that he frequented nightclubs, his body nearly hollowed out by indulgence in drink and pleasure.
He dressed in an Armani suit, wore a Gucci tie, and a meticulous Polo shirt underneath, his whole person exuding a strong smell of money.
His eyes lecherously fixed on Yun Xinyan, roaming across her ample chest and face, unwilling to part and utterly disregardful of her furrowed brow.
Outside the door, Ye Tian also frowned slightly. If it were not for Yun Xinyan’s presence, he would have already burst in and flipped the table.
Ye Tian spat, cursing under his breath, "Fuck!" before turning and heading back to Liu Fei’er’s suite.
After all, Yun Xinyan was just next door. If anything did happen, Ye Tian could be at her side in 0.1 seconds, ready to beat those annoying bastards into Tian San.
"Ye Tian, you seem in a bad mood, what’s wrong?" Liu Fei’er, always attentive, had noticed something was off.
"Nothing much, I just saw a disgusting toad on the way to the bathroom," Ye Tian shrugged offhandedly.
Liu Fei’er and Tang Zhuzhu exchanged puzzled glances, wondering how there could be a toad in a five-star hotel and where Ye Tian’s comment had come from.
"Cough cough, well, let me tell you a story; it’s called ’The Toad Wants to Eat Swan Meat.’" Ye Tian said with a grin, the curious Liu Fei’er unaware that the "toad" he referred to was none other than the Young Master Wang in the room next door.
