X-ray Eyes Little Wild Doctor-Chapter 168 - 163: Bao Lun Shows Off His Skills
Chapter 168: Chapter 163: Bao Lun Shows Off His Skills
"You’re welcome. It’s the least I can do. I have a question for you. Are the police still hiring? How do you think I stack up? Don’t look down on us taxi drivers; we know a lot of people and we know our way around the city. We pick up passengers and get all kinds of information. Hey, officer, don’t go yet. Listen to me. Wait till I finish before you go..." Master Bao called out from his car.
Wang Ke’er had already had enough of his rambling. At this time, she was in a hurry to rescue someone and had no time to listen to his droning. She immediately followed Ye Tian and walked briskly toward the main gate of the factory.
This was an old machinery factory. There was an iron sign at the entrance, covered in rust, with the barely visible words: Morning Light Machinery Factory.
A few burly men, shirtless, were standing at the factory entrance, glaring fiercely. They carried galvanized steel pipes on their shoulders and had tattoos of dragons and tigers on their arms, clearly not the friendly type.
At these thugs’ feet, lay two Tibetan Mastiffs covered in black mane. Though they were only lying there, they were already the size of small calves.
Upon seeing the arrival of these unexpected guests, Ye Tian and Wang Ke’er, the ferocious Tibetan Mastiffs immediately stood up. Their huge paws stamped on the ground, drool flowed from their gaping maws, and their pitch-black eyes emitted a menacing glare.
"What should we do?" Wang Ke’er asked Ye Tian.
Ye Tian glanced at the Tibetan Mastiffs and shrugged: "Let’s play it by ear."
Just then, the sound of a car door shutting was heard from behind. Turning to look, the rambling Master Bao hadn’t driven away but had instead gotten out of his car and picked up a wooden stick from the ground, striding towards them.
"Troublesome." Ye Tian squeezed two words out between his teeth.
Wang Ke’er also frowned. Seeing Master Bao’s gesture, it was clear he wanted to help. But considering the outnumbered situation, including the two mastiffs, Master Bao was just a taxi driver. Wasn’t he walking into certain death?
"You should go back. This is too dangerous. Don’t worry about it," Wang Ke’er said.
"Oh, my officer friend, you can’t underestimate me. Though I’m not very tall, I hold a sixth-degree black belt in Taekwondo. Taking on two people is no problem for me," Bao Lun said excitedly.
He even mimicked Bruce Lee by jumping around and making sharp yells, his fists swiftly punching the air, apparently trying to demonstrate his Sanda prowess.
Ye Tian smiled wryly, thinking that Bruce Lee was all about Jeet Kune Do, so why mix Taekwondo into it.
While they were talking, four men from Morning Light Machinery Factory approached. Sparks flew as they dragged galvanized steel pipes on the ground. Each had a sharp look in their eyes and an imposing aura; a big fight was inevitable.
Wang Ke’er, a top graduate from the police academy, excelled in Sanda and wasn’t particularly afraid of these thugs. However, those Tibetan Mastiffs were another matter, comparable to lions, she heard. She had no confidence in dealing with them but knew that Ye Tian was a mysterious master with terrifying strength, so she thought to herself, let Ye Tian handle the mastiffs.
Seeing the thugs approaching for a fight, Ye Tian just sneered silently.
Bao Lun was too impatient to wait for Wang Ke’er’s agreement. He charged forward while proclaiming, "Officer, watch this. My Taekwondo isn’t just for show. I’ll handle these punks." He walked up to those tattooed thugs.
The thugs glanced at Bao Lun then at his taxi and his goatee, thinking he should have stuck to driving taxis instead of pretending to be a tough guy here.
Excited to show off his skills in front of the beautiful policewoman, Bao Lun was fully energized. He jumped and hopped in front of the thugs, imitating Bruce Lee’s iconic screams, only missing a pair of nunchaku.
"Ha! You brats, don’t say I didn’t warn you. Back in my day, I was the city’s Sanda champion. The smart ones will surrender. I might consider leaving you with whole bodies, or else I’ll make you call me daddy. Ha!"
Bao Lun jumped around energetically in front of the factory, his tone extremely arrogant. However, he looked less like a Sanda champion and more like a shaman active in rural areas right after the liberation.
"Fuck off, don’t waste words on him. Beat him up!"
The thugs, not ones to be easily bullied and tasked by Wang Qian to guard the factory gate, were ready to beat Bao Lun until he couldn’t find his teeth if he insisted on pretending to be bold.
Five or six thugs swung their steel pipes and charged like tigers down the mountain, looking ferocious as if they were regular brawlers.
Wang Ke’er instantly panicked. Bao Lun was just an ordinary civilian. If he got hurt because of her, she would definitely be reprimanded by her superiors.
Without any hesitation, Wang Ke’er dashed forward but was stopped by Ye Tian.
"What are you doing?" Wang Ke’er was confused.
"Don’t worry, he can handle it," Ye Tian stated calmly.
"But what if he gets hurt?" This was Wang Ke’er’s biggest concern.
"He won’t. They can’t hurt him," Ye Tian asserted confidently.
Ye Tian was no ordinary youth. Having been immersed in the Dark World from a young age, he had developed a discerning eye. He could instantly tell who was a true expert and who was trash.
"Are you sure?" Wang Ke’er was still uncertain.
"Confirmed," Ye Tian nodded.
Although Wang Ke’er knew that Ye Tian was an extraordinary character, she was still worried. After all, there were five or six troublemakers; could Bao Lun handle it alone?
However, when the anxious Wang Ke’er turned her head to the front, she immediately got a shock and quickly turned her head back to look into Ye Tian’s eyes, asking, "True God, how did you spot that?"
"It’s nothing," Ye Tian shrugged.
What Wang Ke’er saw when she looked towards Master Bao’s fight circle was Bao Lun’s display of bravery, thus her earlier surprise.
In the midst of the fight, Bao Lun’s wooden stick was gone, probably knocked away; now, he wielded a red brick, wiping out anyone he faced, boasting an impressive presence.
A thug in Adidas swung a steel pipe directly at Bao Lun’s head. Mimicking Bruce Lee, Bao Lun sidestepped the steel pipe, and then, swinging the red brick in his hand, he smashed it fiercely against the youngster’s face, bringing the brick into intimate contact with the thug’s features, turning his entire face into a pancake.
Then, some thug tried to ambush Bao Lun from behind. Despite being hit on the back, Master Bao acted as if nothing happened. His resilience to the blows was strong. Turning around, he swung his hand and struck the ambusher with the brick, causing him to stagger, mouth throbbing painfully, only to discover his teeth had been knocked out by the brick.
Holding the brick, Bao Lun charged into the crowd, unfolding Taekwondo’s classic straight kick, occasionally mixing in side kicks and spin kicks. Though the posture might not have looked great, each kick brought his opponents down.
Wielding that red brick, he whipped up a whistling wind as he struck, leaving the gangsters swollen and bruised, crying miserably as they fled—it was a rout.
Watching Bao Lun’s martial prowess, Ye Tian nodded in satisfaction.
Wide-eyed, Wang Ke’er had never expected the middle-aged, seemingly goofy talkative uncle to actually be a skilled Sanda fighter.
The gangsters, bleeding from mouth and nose, crawling and sprawling, quickly unlocked the iron locks of the Tibetan Mastiffs. The two Mastiffs immediately lunged at Bao Lun.
Tibetan Mastiffs are fierce creatures that, apart from their feeders, consider everything else as prey. Once unleashed, these large dogs charged furiously, their wide mouths gape for Bao Lun.
Bao Lun panicked; handling gangsters was his forte, but he had no experience with Tibetan Mastiffs.
"Ah!" Bao Lun screamed in panic.
Seeing two lion-like beasts charging, about to rip him apart, Bao Lun completely freaked out. However, just then, the charging Mastiffs suddenly trembled all over as if they had seen something terrifying. They dared not move any closer and, instead, tucked their tails and fled.
Drenched in cold sweat, Bao Lun turned his head back only to see Ye Tian standing quietly there, his gaze fiercely penetrating.
Pondering for a moment, Bao Lun was still confused. He wondered if the sudden flight of the Mastiffs had something to do with this young man?
However, he didn’t believe Ye Tian had such an ability. If a mere look could frighten off Tibetan Mastiffs, then this young man was too terrifying.
The abrupt flight of the Mastiffs took the gangsters by surprise. The few of them exchanged glances, sensing the tides had turned and scrammed into the factory, not even bothering to close the door.
Ye Tian patted Wang Ke’er’s shoulder and said indifferently, "The watchdogs are dealt with. Let’s go in and rescue your sister."
"Yes," Wang Ke’er nodded in agreement.
Seeing the two walking into the factory, Bao Lun, the goofy uncle, wouldn’t be left behind. He hurried along, still talking non-stop, mostly boasting about his martial arts skills.
Indeed, he was too talkative. You couldn’t help but admire him; he started talking about learning martial arts at six, until he won the city’s Sanda competition at the age of twenty-three.
Wang Ke’er had long been impatient with his chatter, while Ye Tian just smiled and remained noncommittal.
"Not to brag, but don’t judge me by my height. I’ve never feared anyone in a fight. Not just six gangsters; even sixty wouldn’t phase me," Bao Lun boasted.
As he spoke, Bao Lun even imitated Bruce Lee, shouting, "I hit! Yi! Ya!"
An expression of bitterness marred Wang Ke’er’s face; she had been listening to Bao Lun’s ramble all the way there and was nearly at her limit, while Ye Tian merely chuckled.
Passing through the gates stacked with scrap metal, the trio gradually delved deeper into the interior of the machinery factory. Despite the factory’s modest and even somewhat shabby appearance from the outside, it was surprisingly vast inside; the deeper they walked, the more it revealed its unique aspects.
As they passed a large workshop, a loudspeaker suddenly blared from the sky.
An effeminate voice declared, "Ye Tian, you dared to follow us here, you’ve got guts, attacking my Furious King Kong. I was planning on coming after you, but here you are, bringing yourself to me, hahaha!"
Wang Ke’er immediately recognized it: "It’s Wang Qian’s voice!"
