Wrong Love, Final Goodbye: She'll Never Look Back-Chapter 360: She Will Not Respond to Him Anymore
Vincent Hawthorne only felt the throbbing pain in his hungover, freshly awake brain.
He pressed his temples, shut his eyes, and took a deep breath, "I know, Mom, don’t worry yet. I’ll have someone look for her."
After hanging up, Vincent sat on the sofa and called Jonah Rivers, asking him to check on Yvonne Hawthorne’s whereabouts. Just halfway through his cigarette, he received a callback.
Jonah Rivers: "President Hawthorne, Ms. Hawthorne boarded the flight to Yaldor three hours ago."
Vincent’s face suddenly turned grim. Yaldor is essentially a transit hub with an international airport that’s connected in all directions! At this moment, it’s virtually impossible to bring her back!
He made a call to Rhys Lucas, as only Rhys could leverage some connections with the military.
As soon as the call connected, Vincent spoke before Rhys could, "Can you find out where Felix Kendall’s mission is this time?"
Rhys took a few seconds to react, "Yvonne still hasn’t given up and chased after Felix Kendall?"
Vincent silently agreed.
Rhys was shocked and somewhat puzzled, "Where exactly did she find out about Felix’s schedule?"
Vincent: "Can you get it?"
"I can’t guarantee..." Rhys seemed troubled, "It’s not impossible to inquire, but it could cause trouble. I heard something happened with Felix, he didn’t withdraw with the troops from his mission site. Old Master Kendall is so worried he’s bedridden, anyone snooping around now would provoke The Kendall Family..."
Vincent frowned.
At the moment, he couldn’t care less about how Yvonne found out about Felix’s itinerary; he just wanted to get her back!
After all, Felix went to the most dangerous place, executing tasks that could cost you your head anytime. Yvonne has always been pampered at home and doesn’t understand the dangers outside!
Vincent considered Tanya Sinclair’s words to be spot on - Yvonne is a spoiled giant baby!
But this giant baby happens to be his only sister...
Vincent: "Anyway, please help me look into it. Whatever the consequences, I’ll bear them. If something happens to Yvonne, my mom won’t be able to handle it. Please..."
With such heartfelt words, Rhys, having grown up with Vincent, naturally had no reason to refuse.
Rhys sighed, "Okay, wait for my news. Don’t worry too much, maybe Yvonne’s just playing around and will come back when she sees how dangerous it is."
Vincent put down the phone, slumped back wearily. He closed his eyes, listening to footsteps approaching from behind.
Then, a woman’s gentle hand fell on his head, massaging it lightly.
It was Leah Thorne.
He didn’t open his eyes, nor did he refuse.
Leah massaged for a while, then leaned down to ask, "Would you like to stay for breakfast? I noticed the fridge was pretty empty when I came over, so I bought some groceries. It’s quick, I’ll make it for you."
She’s clever, not mentioning last night’s events or asking him who he takes her for.
If she asked, Vincent naturally would have told her.
Leah, to him, isn’t even worth a lie...
She’s obedient enough, so he tolerates her staying.
Vincent didn’t open his eyes, only said, "I’m leaving in half an hour."
Leah smiled slightly, boldly leaning down to kiss his cheek, "You go wash up. Breakfast will be ready in ten minutes."
Vincent didn’t move immediately; he sat on the sofa, watching Leah’s back as she headed to the kitchen.
She was wearing Tanya Sinclair’s old pajamas, her back almost indistinguishable from the original.
Vincent watched in a daze, as she busied herself in the kitchen making breakfast for him, as if, in a haze, he saw those days Tanya had just married him.
She cared for him in the same way.
Those years, she went all out to make different flavored medical meals to prevent him from eating the same thing.
She was willing to give up her future for him, trapped in the kitchen, yet capable of standing in front of him, fighting for him at the company...
Tanya Sinclair... she was originally his, his Tanya!
Vincent closed his eyes, and his headache worsened.
"Tanya..."
He called out hoarsely, but that person would not respond to him anymore.
The Sinclair Family Estate.
Tanya Sinclair sat at the dining table with Caden and Joy, eating breakfast.
Joy took a big gulp of milk, leaving a white circle on her lips. She looked absolutely adorable.
Caden appeared more refined and composed.
Tanya wiped Joy’s mouth.
Joy seized the opportunity to make a request, "Mom, today I want a bun hairstyle with a crystal princess crown clip!"
Tanya readily agreed, "Of course, honey."
After breakfast, Tanya styled Joy’s hair, looking at her daughter’s exquisitely carved face in the mirror, her heart inundated with infinite warmth.
Tanya personally drove the two children to school.
Along the way, Joy chattered nonstop about the latest school events and happenings at home.
Joy: "Oh, I want to call Auntie! Ask if Auntie’s feeling better today, and invite her to breakfast~"
Tanya said nothing.
She didn’t get along with The Hawthornes, possibly never setting foot in The Hawthorne Estate again, but The Hawthornes were kind to Caden and Joy, and even though Yvonne was arrogant, she loved Joy.
She didn’t want adult grievances to affect the children.
Joy used her phone watch to call Yvonne but received no answer.
Joy muttered, "Auntie must still be sleeping in."
She left a message reminding Yvonne to wake up and eat breakfast properly.
