Wrong Love, Final Goodbye: She'll Never Look Back-Chapter 319: What Vincent Hawthorne Couldn’t Handle, He Will!
Tanya Sinclair walked over with Abby and already heard the argument here.
At this moment, Joy’s face was flushed red, her eyes brimming with tears, filled with grievance and anger.
"I won’t apologize. So what if that stinky beggar’s parents are dead? She stole my mom and brother, I’ll always hate her!"
Caden: "Joy!"
Joy clenched her fists, angrily pushed past Caden, and ran forward. Seeing Tanya Sinclair holding Abby’s hand, Joy ran through them with her eyes teary red and ran away.
For a moment, Tanya wanted to chase after her, but seeing Vincent and Caden run after her, she forced herself to stay put.
"Aunt Sinclair." Abby lightly tugged at her hand, "Are my parents really not coming back?"
Tanya didn’t know how to face Abby’s eyes for a moment. She held Abby in her arms. The little girl learned to endure from a young age, crying silently, but tears uncontrollably soaked her neck...
Declan Pierce stood silently beside Tanya Sinclair, accompanying her in silence.
Given the situation, the activity couldn’t continue. Tanya spoke with Ms. Underwood and sent Abby ahead to Felix Kendall’s place.
With two kind nannies looking after Abby, Tanya didn’t really need to worry.
Before leaving, she apologized to Abby on Joy’s behalf.
"I’m sorry, Abby. It’s my fault for not teaching Joy well..."
"It’s okay." Abby rubbed her tearful eyes, pulling a sensible smile that ached Tanya’s heart. She earnestly said, "Joy isn’t a bad kid. She protects me and plays with me... She’s just afraid I’ll take Aunt Sinclair away from her."
Holding the white bear doll in her arms, Abby softly said, "I really envy Joy. She has a mom by her side... and she sees her often..."
Tanya felt a pang of heartache.
"Abby..."
"Aunt Sinclair, Joy just wants to be close to you, but everyone always tries to please her. She doesn’t know how to express it... You’re an adult; if you take the initiative, it’ll be okay. Joy still cares about you a lot."
Tanya bitterly tugged at the corners of her mouth, looking at Abby’s sensible little face, her heart grieved.
"Thank you, Abby. Even though I’m not your mom, Aunt Sinclair will always be with you."
Abby smiled, "Mm!" She looked at the white bear doll in her arms and smiled again, "When Uncle Kendall comes back, I want to give this to him. Thanks to Uncle Pierce for helping me win the doll!"
Declan Pierce: "It’s nothing."
Incidentally winning over Vincent Hawthorne, too; a buy one get one free.
On the way home, Declan was driving, and Tanya sat silently in the passenger seat.
Declan free up one hand to hold her cold hand, wrapping it in his palm.
"Are you worried about Joy?" He glanced sideways at her.
"Yes." Tanya nodded lightly, "Joy is still my biological daughter. Even though I don’t expect her to be very close to me, every time I see Cindy Lynn beside her, I still worry and fear... Afraid she might hurt Joy! Vincent, that inept man, only lets Cindy manipulate him. In the end, he can’t even protect his own daughter!"
Declan listened quietly, a trace of viciousness in his eyes.
What Vincent can’t solve, maybe he should...
On the road, Tanya received a call from Caden.
"Mom, I’d like to stay at The Hawthorne Family tonight to keep Joy and Dad company. Can Aunt Tawny pick me up tomorrow?"
Tanya agreed, "Okay. Don’t play too late, rest early."
"Mm, Mom, would it make you unhappy?" Caden cautiously asked.
Tanya smiled a little, trying to make her tone sound relaxed.
"Of course not."
"That’s good." Caden breathed a sigh of relief, "See you later, Mom."
"Caden, wait a minute!" Tanya pressed her lips together and spoke softly, "Is Joy beside you?"
In the back seat of the car, Caden glanced at Joy. She immediately closed her eyes and pretended to be asleep.
Caden: "She’s here."
"Then... pass the phone to Joy. Mom would like to say a few words to her."
When Joy heard, she immediately covered her ears!
"Mom, hold on a second." Caden knew how to deal with his sister well. He tickled her side, and Joy couldn’t help but laugh and let go.
Caden took the chance to put the phone to her ear.
Joy twisted her skirt uneasily and said, "Hello..."
Tanya spoke gently, "Joy, I know you might not want to hear my voice. But Mom still needs to make it clear to you that I am your mom, and this will never change. Abby cannot take me or your brother away from you. But your attitude towards Abby was really too harsh. Mom needs you to apologize to Abby. Can you do that?"
Tanya waited for a moment, not hearing Joy respond, assuming she was still unwilling to give in.
She sighed, about to put down the phone when she suddenly heard Joy’s soft, mosquito-like voice come through.
"Got it..."
