Worldwide Awakening: My Soul Kinds Are Lost-Chapter 657: Cultivation in the Qi Cultivation Stage using Authority Method_1
In the Qiandao Realm, Wang Linchi returned quickly. He had only gone to pick up his initial equipment.
Back to Huangquan Sect? Wang Linchi was contemplating this question.
One advantage of returning was that he could directly usurp and occupy the Huangquan Sect, eliminating the need to build his system's influence from the most rudimentary level. However, returning also had significant drawbacks; he might become enraged and impulsively resort to massacring everyone with force. The main problem was the prevailing atmosphere within the Huangquan Sect; from top to bottom, everyone was blinded by self-interest.
Why should I return and usurp a Trash Sect? Wouldn't it be much better to choose a Righteous Sect instead? Both the general environment and the character of the disciples there are hundreds of times better than at the Huangquan Sect, Wang Linchi grumbled to himself.
However, on second thought, the Righteous Sect is also a major pitfall, especially for a true villain like me. It's full of restrictions. The lofty principles and rules of a Righteous Sect are indeed powerful; how else could they ensure the morality of their disciples? A disciple's morality is linked to their inner demons. The Demon Path, on the other hand, doesn't have this issue with inner demons. However, if they Walk Fire into Demon, the likelihood of sudden death is very high. In contrast, if disciples of the Righteous Path are plagued by inner demons, at worst their strength might regress or their progress might halt. But if they manage to overcome their inner demons, it's even possible for them to achieve a meteoric rise in power.
I might as well create one myself, Wang Linchi decided.
Wang Linchi felt that while using something established by others had its advantages, it never quite felt like it was truly his own. Teaching disciples was out of the question; Wang Linchi's specialty was deception. He had already successfully developed his cultivation method, which was compiled into two volumes.
One volume, a heterodox cultivation technique independent of the Righteous and Demon Paths, was titled "Virtue of Merits and Morals". This was intended for his game character's Cultivation.
The other volume, also a heterodox technique, was called "Complete Evil to Complete Good Skill". This was designed for the Cultivation of his future pawns.
Its efficacy stemmed from combining scriptures of both the Righteous and Demon Paths, incorporating elements of virtue and Sin-force. However, within the Cultivation Technique itself, only virtue was manifested, while Sin-force remained unmentioned. He was the type who preferred to report good news and conceal the bad.
The Qi Cultivation Stage in this world... is still a bit lacking, he mused.
Normally, the Qi Refinement Realm involved absorbing the Spiritual Energy of heaven and earth and converting it into Mana within the body. This allowed one to live for about a hundred years. The Dantian would be in a gaseous state, and cultivators would gain a preliminary mastery over the application of Spells using Spiritual Energy.
However, in Wang Linchi's eyes, these Cultivators hadn't explored this deeply enough. It seemed that due to various monopolies and exploitations in the cultivation world, as well as inherited teachings from the upper realms, many Cultivators had significant issues with their innovative capabilities. For example, while Spells, Magical Artifacts, Elixirs, and Charms could be innovated upon, when it came to Cultivation Techniques, most practitioners relied on old methods or inheritances from the upper realms. It was rare to hear of anyone forging their own path, and even if they did, the ultimate potential of such paths was often not very high. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
After in-depth research, Wang Linchi also discovered the reason: their understanding of the world and themselves was insufficient. Theoretically, upon reaching the Foundation Establishment Stage, cultivators would possess Divine Sense, granting them the preliminary means to explore their own bodily structure and the world. However, their primary use for Divine Sense was combat. Wang Linchi could understand this, though. After all, the prevailing ethos in the entire Qiandao Realm was that the strong were revered.
Wang Linchi, however, was different. Through numerous ancient texts and scriptures, he had formed an entirely new understanding of the world and the cultivation system. Thus, he developed a completely new cultivation system as his starting point.
The first step is to unlock initial permissions, then utilize intelligent controllable particles—that is, Spiritual Energy—to carry out a certain degree of transformation on the body and the environment.
Wang Linchi modularized this concept and proceeded with in-depth modifications.
My modified Qi Cultivation Stage directly unlocks permissions from Heaven and Earth. Theoretically, other cultivators in the Qi Cultivation Stage could also achieve this, provided they have sufficient understanding of themselves and the world, and can master Mana to mobilize these intelligent controllable particles—that is, Spirit Aura Particles. Spiritual Energy manifests as particles, and these particles possess a corresponding intelligence. For example, some Cultivators experience a spiritual energy vortex forming around them after an Epiphany, drawing in vast amounts of Spiritual Energy. This is, in essence, the intelligent logical processes of the Spirit Aura Particles detecting a resonance with Heaven and Earth, and subsequently providing aid to the individual who had the Epiphany, to prevent them from suffering 'malnutrition' from the sudden demand. As for a Cultivator generating such a spiritual energy vortex on their own, that's impossible. Firstly, there's the limitation of one's innate aptitude. Everyone's aptitude differs, which affects the speed at which they can call upon Spirit Aura Particles for self-transformation, as well as their absorption efficiency. If someone originally has an efficiency of, say, one unit, even if they experience an Epiphany and their body cooperates, it's still impossible for them to create the conditions for large-scale Spiritual Energy absorption on their own. Only with the cooperation of the Spirit Aura Particles themselves can a spiritual energy vortex be formed, thereby achieving a leap in advancement after an Epiphany.
The foundational abilities of my Qi Cultivation Stage are only two: invocation and transformation. Transformation of the environment manifests as Spells, while transformation of oneself equates to cultivation strength and realm.
Wang Linchi completed the modular modification of the Qi Cultivation Stage in that very instant.
Everything is based on the mobilization rate afforded by the permissions from Heaven and Earth. And this mobilization rate, well, upon successful initiation, the base rate is merely one hundred percent. But, if one possesses virtue...
As Wang Linchi spoke, he used his Mana to call upon the Spiritual Energy of heaven and earth. In an instant, a vast amount of Spiritual Energy began to surge violently, transforming into a terrifying cyclone. Then, with another gesture, flames erupted from thin air within the cyclone, turning it into a horrifying fiery whirlwind.
Then the mobilization rate will increase exponentially. With just a minuscule amount of Mana, one can unleash power far exceeding their own cultivation Realm.
The ability he demonstrated, creating a fiery whirlwind that swept across hundreds of miles, fundamentally used only the Mana equivalent to the Second Layer of Qi cultivation. This was the power of his current identity, not his own true strength. The destructive force generated was likely something only a cultivator at the peak of the Foundation Establishment Stage could unleash. Yet, the Mana he had expended was merely equivalent to that required for a single Blood Soul Technique.
The plasticity of Spirit Aura Particles is extremely high, and their conversion rate is practically lossless. A Spell is like a wondrous program capable of reshaping and transforming Spirit Aura Particles. Generally, normal Cultivators first convert Spirit Aura Particles into a mana state. Then, this mana state, which inherits the plasticity and high conversion rate of the Spirit Aura Particles, is used to form and release the corresponding 'program'—the Spell. This process inevitably involves some loss, leading to a decrease in the Spell's power. This isn't to say Mana is useless; rather, this is where a Cultivation Technique—another kind of 'program'—is needed for support. Spells modify the environment, while Cultivation Techniques transform and enhance the self. However, using raw, 'wild' Spirit Aura Particles inevitably means they carry corresponding 'bacteria' or 'viruses.' Therefore, a Cultivation Technique is needed to convert and 'disinfect' them. Only after being transformed into a Mana state, which is more compatible with the human body, can it be used for self-enhancement. It is precisely due to the ingrained habits associated with Cultivation Techniques, coupled with the fact that Mana is easier to control, that cultivators typically use Mana to cast Spells, rather than using Mana to mobilize Spirit Aura Particles directly, as Wang Linchi does. Only those at the Transcendance Tribulation Stage, who have gained a preliminary grasp of the Rules of Heaven and Earth, can achieve the ability to mobilize Spirit Aura Particles via Mana. This is what's known as borrowing the power of Heaven and Earth, and it represents the rudimentary form of Immortal Law. Immortal Law is said to be Spells that embody Rules and the power of Heaven and Earth. Wang Linchi didn't know much more beyond that, as the highest attainable stage in the Qiandao Realm was merely the Transcendance Tribulation Stage; the concept of actual Immortals didn't exist there.
For these two Cultivation Techniques I've created, the cultivation Realm achieved isn't the most important aspect; what truly matters is Virtue. As long as one has sufficient Virtue, even a trivial minor Spell, by mobilizing Spirit Aura Particles, can be transformed into a great Divine Skill comparable to those of Golden Core or Nascent Soul experts.
To Wang Linchi, Golden Core or Nascent Soul cultivators weren't particularly remarkable. However, the comparison here was with minor Spells from the Qi Cultivation Stage—Spells that could be unleashed even at that low realm. This made the cost-effectiveness incredibly appealing.
It's just that this Virtue... it's a bit difficult to accumulate, Wang Linchi mused. That was why such methods couldn't become mainstream.
In the Zombie World, Virtue had been easy to accumulate because it was already the apocalypse. Before that, not even a shred of Virtue would manifest. The Qiandao Realm was slightly better. At least occasionally, some sporadic Virtue would emerge as a reward, and a corresponding understanding of it had formed. In this respect, it was indeed far more generous than the Zombie World had been before its apocalypse; at least some channels for Virtue existed.
Therefore, it's necessary to use artificially generated Virtue to offset this difficulty.
Wang Linchi was confident he could generate it artificially. It involved Sin-force. Through the transmutation of Sin-force into corresponding tribulations, as long as one successfully overcame these tribulations, it would be equivalent to dispelling the Sin-force, and Virtue would naturally be born. However, this artificially generated Virtue, while genuinely being Virtue, would contain a distortion from an unspeakable, malevolent entity due to Wang Linchi's intervention. Yes, it was Wang Linchi's contamination. If the quantity of this tainted Virtue increased sufficiently, it would be like a horde of monsters infiltrating a crowd, causing irreversible corruption to the entire Qiandao Realm.
This, naturally, was also Wang Linchi's objective.
