Chapter 54: Investors’ Sentiments

Before James went to bed, he decided to check the stat of the memecoin. He sat at his workstation, with his eyes glued to his laptop screen as he refreshed the memecoin’s statistics.

Every second that passed, more transactions appeared in the trading history, showing a steady increase in trading volume. Looking at the token’s information on the Dexscreener platform, a big smile plastered his face.

The price of each token has surged to $0.7, the market capitalisation has skyrocketed to $700M, and the liquidity has increased significantly to $3.2M.

James was very happy when he saw this but what made him even more happier, and very excitedly was the liquidity growth. It has gone from $2M to $3.2M.

This was a very significant increase considering that it’s people are actually the one putting their money into it, and it isn’t something caused by the token’s price increase. And this was why James was excited.

The liquidity growth was a significant indicator that investors saw real value in the project. Unlike hype-driven pumps that fizzled out after a few days, this showed long-term confidence in the token. It’s also the reason why the token hasn’t crashed, considering its very rapid rise.

The increase in liquidity and liquidity providers further cemented the idea in his headz because the more liquidity there was, the less susceptible the price would be to manipulation. And the easier it would be to maintain stability once the token was listed on major exchanges.

And stability of the token means more money for James. More rebate eligible funds.

"Things are slowly falling into place," he said, with a smile.

Feeling satisfied with the progress, he placed his laptop in sleep mode and set it on the workstation table. He stood up and stretched his arms, and yawned.

Ready to call it a night, he walked to his bed. Just as he was about to lay down, his phone vibrated, followed by the chime of a new message.

He picked up the phone from the bedside table and saw that it was from Ralph.

Ralph: "The idea is solid, and investors are excited about the listing. But there’s an issue. They are worried — the whale holders. They want to know your plans for your holdings after the listing. Are you going to dump immediately, sell them over time or hold long-term?"

He heard another chime and it was another message from Ralph.

Ralph: "The reason why they asking the question is because majority of them wants to hold their tokens, and they don’t want it to suddenly turn to dust overnight. It would be very bad if their holdings worth millions of dollars, turn into measly hundreds of thousands over night."

James nodded in understanding after he read Ralph’s messages. He understood the investors’ sentiments and their concerns were reasonable.

He currently holds 51.1M tokens, which is approximately 5.12% of the token’s total supply. If he were to dump even a fraction of that after the listing, it would tank the market instantly. Even if he only sold a portion, it could trigger panic, causing a chain reaction of sell-offs.

The whales weren’t just asking out of curiosity. They were looking for assurance that the project wouldn’t collapse due to an early exit from a major holder.

James took a deep breath and typed his response.

"Tell them that I have no intention of selling any of my holdings. Doing that would wreck the market and I’m in this for the long haul."

James selling his holdings will affect the market greatly, and if the market is affected, he won’t be able to achieve his plan as it would also affect him.

Also, he plans to transfer his holdings to the offshore trust holding company after it has been created, so there was no way that he will sell his holdings.

After he had sent the message, he waited and a few moments later, Ralph responded.

Ralph: "Got it. I’ll relay that to them. That should calm some nerves."

James let out a small sigh of relief. This should put the investors at ease, at least for now. But the next message from Ralph piqued his interest.

Ralph: " The investors also wants to increase the liquidity but they want to wait for a few more days and watch his things would go."

James smile when he saw this, as it was great news. More liquidity providers means more liquidity, and more liquidity means more confidence in the project.

He was still caught up in the feeling brought by the good news Ralph just gave him, when he heard another chime.

Ralph: "Also, if you have any extra funds, consider adding it to the liquidity. I hope the liquidity can reach an ideal minimum of $10M before listing as it would give the token a good chance at price stability after listing.

Hopefully, it would stabilise at $15 per token after the initial spike and drop that would be caused by the listing."

James’ mind immediately started calculating. If the price stabilized at $15 per token, his holdings would be worth $767.6M!

That was an entirely new level of wealth, and the best part was — he didn’t even have to touch his holdings to make this money.

With liquidity at $10 million or higher, the token would be far less vulnerable to market dumps and fluctuations. Also, it will be very helpful to James’ plan.

James understood this and he quickly typed:

"Understood. I will increase the liquidity immediately." ƒreewebηoveℓ.com

But before he could send it, another message popped up from Ralph.

"Hell nah! Not now, brother. Don’t increase the liquidity tonight. I’m very tired and sleepy. You can do it tomorrow but when I’m awake. If you do it now, I will have to stay up — probably all night — to lock the liquidity. If I don’t do it, the market would be affected as the investors might lose confidence and sell, which will start a cascading effect and before we know it, the memecoin will crash."

James smiled when he read Ralph’s message. He appreciates Ralph’s thorough approach. He felt happy that he has someone like him, as he really was the perfect person to manage this side of the operation.

"Alright, man. Goodnight. When you’re awake and ready tomorrow, text me and let me know."

Ralph: "Yeah. We can also start the pushing tomorrow. Goodnight, bro."

James saw that Ralph went offline immediately after he sent the last message, and he sent a simple "Goodnight" before placing his phone back on the bedside table.

As he laid back, staring at the ceiling, his mind was still racing. The progress they had made in just a few days was staggering.

$700 million market cap. $3.2 million liquidity. Listing negotiations with CEXs.

It felt almost surreal how fast everything was coming together. It was like he was in a movie but James knew that this was as real as it could be.

He knew that if he play this right, this memecoin project could become something far bigger than just a quick profit scheme that he initially intended for it to be.

James exhaled deeply, pushing all thoughts aside. He can’t continue staying as he was feeling very exhausted. And he also have a meeting with the private investigator tomorrow. He closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.
