World Domination Begins With Getting a System in a Modern World-Chapter 107: Splurging On New Rides
Chapter 107: Splurging On New Rides
James took out his phone and went on the internet, searching for the nearest car dealership where he could buy some cars.
He already has some cars in mind and he has more than enough money to buy all of them.
After paying Mr Harrington and Gregor their fees, he still has more than $49.5 million in his account. He has already set aside $30 million for the pump and dump project with Ralph, which means he has more than $19.5 million to spare. And that amount is way more than enough for the cars he wants to buy.
After a short few minutes of searching, he finally got what he wanted. He left the garage and made his way to the living area, where he saw Patty and Leslie seated, watching TV.
"Leslie," he called out to her, and she turned to look at him.
"Can I please borrow your car for a bit?" He asked, and she immediately nodded.
"Sure. The key fob is in my room. Let me get it for you," she said, as she stood up from the couch and made her way upstairs.
James also made his way upstairs but he didn’t follow Leslie to her room. He went to drop the key fob in his room.
Since he’s going to take the Chevrolet Trax instead, there was no need keeping the Koenigsegg Gemera’s key fob on his person.
Walking out of his room, he saw Leslie coming out of hers. He walked towards her and she threw the key fob to him. He caught it mid-air and smiled.
"Thank you," he said, and Leslie smiled back.
James made his way downstairs, to the garage. He pressed the unlock button on the key fob and the Chevrolet Trax beeped. He opened the door and got in, and started the car.
The garage door opened, allowing him to drive out into the driveway, and as he drove down, the massive gate opened up slowly, and he drove out onto the clean street of Lower Bel Air.
James’ destination is Beverley Hills Auto Dealers in the Wilshire Boulevard Area, and it’s a 13 minutes drive from the mansion.

13 minutes later, James parked the Chevrolet Trax neatly in front of a huge dealership, a white glassy, sleek building. Nearby on a tall post, the iconic massive silver Mercedes-Benz logo was spinning slowly.
He got out of the car and made his way into the store. Inside, his eyes were greeted by a variety of cars made by the Mercedes-Benz company.
Though everything looks flashy, high class and expensive, James didn’t bother looking around, as he confidently walked to the receptionist.
As he made his way to her desk, he noticed that some of the staffs — low-level female salespersons — were judging him silently and standing far away, and he understood why.
Under any circumstances, he should had been attended been attended to by any one of them that was free, but instead, they didn’t spare him a glance.
This is exactly how the world is. He knew that if he came here with the Gemera, they all probably will be swooning all over me and fighting amongst themselves on who’s going to attend to him.
But because he arrived in a Chevrolet Trax, a car that they consider cheap, he wasn’t worth their attention.
James could had gone to the dealership where Laila works at but he couldn’t due to the distance, and the time it will waste. Though he has their contact, and he could had called them, have them source out the cars he wants and deliver them to his place, but he didn’t.
The reason why he came here is to see the difference between how the masses shop for cars and how the elite does it.
And James would be honest and say that he expected better. For a dealership located in one of the prime locations in the country, and a location that’s filled with hidden tycoons, he expected better.
Arriving at the receptionist’s desk, she greeted him with smiles.
"Good morning, sir. Welcome to Mercedes-Benz Beverly Hills. How may I help you today?"
"Good morning, I’m looking to pick out some cars. Can you get a senior staff to help me out?" James asked, and the receptionist nodded.
"What models are you looking to purchase, sir?" She asked.
"I would like a Mercedes S580 and a Maybach S580," James replied.
Hearing his response, the receptionist stole a quick glance of him and smiled. She immediately typed something into her computer and pressed the intercom on her desk, before looking up at James.
"Please wait. One of our Senior Client Advisors will be with you shortly," she said, and James nodded.
James didn’t have to wait at all, as the next moment, he saw a middle age man walking up to him, with a smile on his face.
"Good morning, sir. I’m the Senior Client Advisor, Morris. I was told that you want a Mercedes and Maybach S580. Do you want anything else with them?" He asked
"No. Just those two," James replied.
"Excellent choices. The total for the Mercedes S580 is $131,420 and it’s $341,800 for the Maybach S580. Which brings them to a total cost of $473,220. The documents are already being prepared. Would you like to make the payment now?"
"Yes," James replied.
"That’s wonderful. We have multiple payment plans—" Morris said, but was quickly interrupted by James.
"I would pay for them in full," he said, and Morris nodded, with a small smile.
He couldn’t believe that someone as young as James is splurging almost half a million dollars on two cars. He couldn’t help but be curious about James’ identity.
James already aware of what next to do, brought out his debit card and placed it on the terminal. He heard a beep the next moment, indicating that the payment was successful.
"Here’s my address. Please deliver the cars there when they are ready," James said, giving Morris his address.
"Yes, sir. We will have the cars waxed and filled with gas before delivery," Morris nodded.
James nodded and was about to leave when he remembered something.
"I want to buy more cars but I don’t have the time to go around myself. Is there someone who can do that for me?" He asked Morris.
James intends to buy a total of six cars. It’s a lot, yes. But they are necessities. How so? The cars are to silently show off his wealth and attract the right people, so yeah, they are necessities.
"We do have someone like that. What are the cars you want?" Morris asked, and nodded at the receptionist to get ready to write down the names of the cars, James want.
James was happy when he heard what Morris said. He had already thought about it and he calculated that he will be wasting quite a bit of time if he goes around himself to purchase the cars. But since he can spend money and have someone else do it for him, why not?
"I want a Porsche Panamera, Audi A8, Lexus LS 500, Range Rover Autobiography," James said, listing out the names of the cars he want.
After James was done listing out the names, Morris looked at the receptionist and she nodded, indicating that she got the names down.
"Please drop your contact, so that we can contact you and let you know when we have them ready, and you can make the payment," Morris said, and James nodded.
After James had dropped his contact, he turned and walked toward the store’s exit. He couldn’t help but notice some of the female salespersons smiling and making subtle poses, but he couldn’t be bothered.
He walked out of the store, got into the car and drove off towards the location of the golf gear shop.
