Wizard: I Have a Game Panel-Chapter 389 - 276: No Offense, Supreme One (Part 2)
"Outrageous, absolutely outrageous!"
The vast Nine Universes, boundless and endless.
They are trapped in a time loop by the Time Serpent, using itself as a sacrificial offering. Helplessly, they joined forces to create a realm, attempting to nurture a ninth-level being who could navigate the path of time to see if it could be broken.
The three Sovereigns respectively subdued the past, present, and future sections of the Ring of Time, ensuring no upheaval.
Unfortunately, nurturing beings with a Time System is extraordinarily difficult.
Over the past three epochs, they have absorbed ninth-level beings from other factions into their civilization to some extent, but not a single ninth-level from the Time Faction.
Unexpectedly, while waiting for a ninth-level from the Time Faction, the Transcendence Treasure arrived instead.
If a being is recognized by it, then looking across the Nine Universes, they would be one of the most brilliant beings.
Because this signifies the possibility of becoming a supreme being.
No matter how low the possibility, the difference between having it and not having it is the greatest distinction.
Besides that, there are two intangible benefits for those who are recognized.
One is immunity from deliberate targeting by transcendents and supreme beings, and the other is resistance to complete enslavement.
The Transcendence Treasure has a temper; if a transcendent or supreme being dares to deliberately target its chosen one, it will no longer search for chosen ones in that Cosmic Realm.
This also means that this Cosmic Realm forever loses a potentially emerging supreme being, and if a future war with other realms occurs, it will only be suppressed and beaten.
Of course, if the chosen one dares to recklessly provoke transcendents or even supreme beings, the Transcendence Treasure will not tolerate it.
As for anything below transcendence, the Transcendence Treasure doesn’t care at all.
If the chosen one is killed by something below transcendence, it will simply find another chosen one.
The resistance to being enslaved stems from the fact that if the chosen one is completely enslaved, the Transcendence Treasure will leave on its own.
"I wonder if this Transcendence Treasure has chosen a chosen one." After a long while, the butterfly calmed down and said with some apprehension, "If it’s only here for a stroll, then we’ve been excited for nothing."
Any being born in this realm has a natural causality with them.
If the chosen one truly becomes supreme in the future...
"I think it’s him, almost certainly!" The blood excitedly pointed to the upper right corner of the light screen, "From their earlier conversation..."
It shared the intelligence it had heard and seen earlier with the butterfly, and as it spoke, the light screen in front of the butterfly and silkworm rapidly expanded, finally revealing a figure sitting behind a desk, lost in deep meditation over the River of Time Scroll.
Once the Transcendence Treasure genuinely chooses a chosen one, it will surely provide some help.
Throughout the Wizard Plane, it seems that only this talent who follows the Space-Time System can truly gain the aid of those beings projected by the Transcendence Treasure.
The result is self-evident.
It originally thought this little guy’s time talent wasn’t among the top tier and saw no possibility of breaking through to the ninth level, feeling frustrated for a while, only to find such a surprising delight waiting for it.
Compared to recognition by the Transcendence Treasure, what’s a slight deficit in time talent worth!
This little guy is the most outstanding genius since the birth of this realm; when it says so, no one can argue!
"I never thought I’d actually see a living chosen one, and one who follows the Time Faction." The butterfly’s gaze lingered over Lor a dozen times, then reluctantly said, "I need to go report this good news to the Sovereign; don’t act rashly in the meantime."
How to handle Lor must be determined by the Sovereign; it dared not make such a decision on its own.
"Go ahead, I’ll protect him and ensure no accidents happen!" The blood nodded repeatedly.
As soon as these words left its mouth, the butterfly’s figure vanished.
"Heh heh... the chosen one... heh heh heh... the potential of a supreme being." The blood paced over the large leaf, occasionally letting out strange laughs, at times staring intensely at the emerald green light screen.
In the Silkworm Dream Civilization, none bear heavier causality with Lor than it; should Lor become supreme in the future...
...
At the center of the Silk Dream Plane, in front of the pavilion. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
"Greetings, Sovereign." The butterfly lowered its antennae respectfully toward the pavilion and bowed.
"What is it?" An elder voice echoed from within the pavilion.
When the voice sounded, the space surrounding the pavilion... no, upon closer inspection, the whole space-time seemed to tremble slightly, as if trying to distort everything external, only to suddenly settle back down as if forcibly subdued.
"The blood just discovered a being suspected to be chosen by the Transcendence Treasure. It follows the path of the Space-Time System; now its civilization..." The butterfly relayed all of Lor’s details.
"Rip— Craack—"
The being within the pavilion didn’t reply, but the increasingly intense spatial fluctuations and the pavilion’s splintering with cracks showed that it was far from calm.
Thankfully, these changes happened in an instant and were soon suppressed again.
The butterfly remained standing amidst the flowers, antennae drooping, silently awaiting the Sovereign’s command.
Sunrise and sunset, cycles over and over.
After the sky transitioned from light to dark three times, it finally received a response.
"Go, find the other two elders and tell them, I intend to make this epoch’s all beings his nourishment, nurturing his rise."
With these words, a Sea of Blood covering the sky suddenly appeared.
At the center of the Sea of Blood, a fantastical flower slowly absorbed the sea’s nutrients, eventually drying it up and shining brilliantly.
"Yes, Sovereign." The butterfly understood the deeper meaning behind these words, bowed once more, and then vanished.
"Heh heh~"
Long after the butterfly departed, the elder voice resonated again: "Unabos, using your life as a sacrifice to construct the time loop, hoping to sever the future for us."
"You probably never imagined our desperate actions would actually attract the favor of the Transcendence Treasure, did you?"
"Not transcendent yet still thinks to fully lock away our future?"
"Those who toy with time will surely be toyed with by time!"
Undeniably, the chance for one recognized by the Transcendence Treasure to become transcendent is extremely small, almost one in a million.
However, with the Transcendence Treasure and the aid of me and the other two, the likelihood of that chosen one reaching the ninth level is quite significant.
Once they reach the ninth level, there’s hope to break through this realm doomed to complete collapse after seventy-eight eras.
...
The Second World, towering trees space.
Just as the blood grew anxious while waiting, the butterfly reappeared before it.
"How’d it go? What did the Sovereign say?" the blood urgently asked.
"The Sovereign intends to make this era’s all beings his nourishment, nurturing his growth." The butterfly quietly said, looking at Lor in the light screen.
The blood remained silent for a moment before asking a key question: "Including the other two realms?"
"Of course." The butterfly gently nodded.
"This guy’s got fortune coming his way!" The blood also turned to look at Lor in the light screen, speaking with a hint of schadenfreude, "How many times do you think he’ll die in the future?"
What the Sovereign meant by nourishment, it understood clearly.
In comparison, the Trial Field is merely a game.
It could comprehend the Sovereign’s choice; every supreme being emerges from heaps of corpses and seas of blood, without exception.
The chosen ones who stayed in protective environments always ended tragically.
With the Sovereign’s words, as long as Lor maintains a shred of true spirit, he would be resurrected, making life or death irrelevant.
As for lost friends, companions, and kin along the way.
Once he becomes the ninth level, breaking the Ring of Time, and provided they didn’t die of natural causes, he can retrieve them from the true River of Time without any regrets.
If failing to reach the ninth level...
Including Lor himself, death is inevitable sooner or later; what’s the difference if it comes early or late?
"I think you’re courting death." The butterfly glanced at the blood, dropped this remark, and left.
If Lor truly becomes supreme in the future and retrospectively hears what the blood said, the consequences would be...
"Hiss—"
The blood also realized, drew in a deep breath, stood upright, and mimicked the Wizard Plane’s etiquette, repeatedly bowing to the light screen showing Lor: "Supreme being, please don’t mind, Supreme being, please don’t mind, on account of how much I helped you before and in the ’future,’ don’t hold it against the future me!"
