Chapter 236: Chapter 200: Gone Mad?

The contribution points for breaking through the Fourth Ring have been amassed.

As for the Honorary Legislator Badge, he hasn’t yet met the award criteria. Unless he can develop a Continent Communication Device affordable for apprentices, thoroughly solving the communication challenges at the base level of the Wizard Alliance.

Wizard Calendar, Year 906, July 8th.

On the fifteenth floor of the Abyss, inside a small laboratory on the seventeenth level of a black Abyss Wizard Tower.

"Two hundred years, and I’ve finally advanced to the Second Ring." Sanchez clenched his fist, feeling the powerful force transmitted from his bloodline, a smile uncontrollably lifting at the corners of his mouth.

It’s not actually difficult for an Abyssal Wizard to advance. Without pursuing bloodline fusion, with the resources given by the Alliance, he could have become Second Ring in about twenty or thirty years.

Of course, without pursuing bloodline fusion, he wouldn’t have gotten those resources either.

Attempting to reach the limit of bloodline fusion at this stage is exceedingly difficult.

Every attempt at bloodline fusion feels like being cut to pieces, the pain reaching the extreme.

During the apprentice period, those who could endure the pain of the first bloodline fusion were almost nonexistent, even among the carefully selected wizard apprentices like them.

The most crucial issue is that even enduring the pain does not guarantee success in fusion. More likely, nothing happens, and one can only try another fusion after the body recovers.

Moreover, the pain becomes more intense with each fusion.

For instance, that apprentice who once sat beside him, with a wealthy background and high spirits, gave up after one attempt.

Although now a Second Ring Abyssal Wizard thanks to familial resources, Sanchez was certain he couldn’t withstand a single punch from him.

Even fewer apprentices endure the second bloodline fusion.

Each one is considered a true seed of an Abyssal Wizard, enjoying the best resources, and highly esteemed by Great Wizards.

Once Sanchez successfully fused the third bloodline, he again tasted some of that former admiration he experienced back in the town, albeit only partially.

Only after achieving the First Ring and successfully fusing the fourth Abyssal bloodline did he truly become the most dazzling seed of Abyss Wizard Tower No. 72.

"I do not wish to be just a seed."

Sanchez looked up at the laboratory’s ceiling, an irrepressible ambition gleaming in his eyes, "My goal has always been to become a true Abyssal Wizard."

"And in the future, like Speaker Lole, become the pinnacle existence of the Wizard Alliance."

On his journey, he endured countless pains. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

Whenever he felt like giving up, he constantly reminded himself that if he didn’t persist, he would eventually fade into mediocrity.

Unwilling to resign, he fought for a future with his life.

As he continually reinforced this aspiration, it gradually morphed into an obsession.

Thus, he persevered.

Also... went mad?

At least in the eyes of those Third Ring Great Wizards, he was certainly mad.

Claiming to want to become like Speaker Lole while he was only a First Ring, wasn’t that madness?

However, they had to admit this lunatic’s extraordinary talent, being one of the few true seeds of Abyssal Wizards, having fused four types of Abyssal Bloodline while still a First Ring.

Betula Continent, top floor of the Lor Wizard Tower.

"Sir Lor, congratulations, all the experiments this time were successful," Kateya said beaming with joy on the light screen.

"All successful? Much faster than anticipated." Lor lifted the corner of his mouth.

"With your talent, isn’t that as expected?" Kateya blinked her eyes, slightly tilting her head in pride, "I always believed no problem could stump you, and reality proved me right."

If someone ignorant of the truth were here, they might think she was the one who created the Spatial Marking Witchcraft.

"Even if you flatter me all you want, I won’t improve your benefits," Lor joked, "After all, no matter where you go, with the savings you have, you’d be considered wealthy."

"Sir Lor, every word I say comes from the heart, absolutely not intended as flattery," Kateya said with a firm expression.

"Alright, I’ll take your word for it," Lor nodded with a smile, not continuing the conversation. He hung up the call, opened the experiment data Kateya sent over, and carefully reviewed the apprentice experiments from start to finish.

He didn’t skip any part of any experiment, successful or otherwise.

Summarizing experiences and reflecting on mistakes are essential for better creation and fusion of witchcraft.

After reviewing all the experiment videos, Lor closed his eyes, contemplating deeply before reopening them and lightly exhaling, thinking to himself, "Next, I’ll first construct the Spatial Marking Witchcraft, then deduce the intersection of Space Jumping Witchcraft and Spatial Marking Witchcraft."

Wizard Calendar, Year 950, June 8th.

Milton Continent, a groundbreaking news emerged from the Energy Furnace Research Institute.

In between optimizing the energy conduction of a small Energy Furnace, Honorary Legislator Ernie, seeking relaxation, playfully devised a new magic pattern structure for a large Energy Furnace, thoughtlessly entrusting it to his assistants for experimentation.

However, this experiment resulted in a significant breakthrough in the millennium-long stalemate of large Energy Furnace experiments.

The synchronization charge efficiency of the large Energy Furnace increased nearly twofold, reaching a state where it could simultaneously charge twenty Third-Tier Charging Magic Arrays.

This news dropped like a boulder into the calm waters of the Wizard Alliance, inciting enormous waves.

While chaos stirred externally, Ernie, in the Energy Furnace Research Institute’s director’s office, was far from calm.

"Legislator Ernie, I suggest you pause the small Energy Furnace research project and focus on the large Energy Furnace." On the light screen, a middle-aged wizard in a blue legislator wizard robe spoke politely.

Now, Ernie has fully demonstrated his capability, and as the esteemed director of the Energy Research Institute, even formal legislators wouldn’t disrespect him.

"I’m thinking about that too. I’ve just submitted a report to Speaker Francis. If he agrees, I’ll adjust my research direction." Ernie responded with a smile.

He was sincere—in his view, researching the large Energy Furnace would be more beneficial to the Wizard Alliance than the small one.

Yet, since Speaker Francis had previously emphasized focusing on the small Energy Furnace, he couldn’t whimsically change direction without first submitting a report and seeking approval.

He had a clear sense of self-awareness about his role.

Slight arrogance when dealing with Fourth Ring legislators was bearable, but when it came to a speaker’s advice, he must treat it with seriousness.

"Haha, indeed, wise minds often think alike." The middle-aged legislator chuckled, "I expect Speaker Francis will soon agree with your notion. I wish you rapid success in the large Energy Furnace domain."

"Let’s hope so." Ernie nodded.

After seeing off this legislator, he was about to take a sip from the water cup on his desk.

However, before his hand reached the cup, the Continent Communication Device rang again.

Ernie glanced at the contact, noticing it was another legislator, and set aside his urge for water, connecting the call.

A light screen unfolded slowly before him, featuring a bloodline wizard legislator in a red wizard robe, her appearance quite beautiful.

"Legislator Ernie, what are your plans for research moving forward?" Aife asked with a smile, "Have you considered shifting your research direction to focus on the larger..."

Listening to yet another familiar persuasion, Ernie’s mouth twitched slightly, yet he patiently outlined his plans.

Just as he finished with Aife, a third legislator arrived.

The tenth...

The fiftieth...

While Ernie was busy dealing with the legislators, at the top level of the Francis Wizard Tower, in the study room.

Francis put down his pen, pausing his deduction of the first Sixth Ring witchcraft, took out the Continent Communication Device, and took a look at the report sent by Ernie.
