Wizard: Adventures in Two Worlds-Chapter 447: Bluebird 006
One-Circle Witchcraft—Storm Skill!
One-Circle Witchcraft—Angry Flames!
Combo technique!
Flame Storm!
Gold stretched both hands toward the void, his eyes—one ablaze with Fierce Flame, the other surging with a Gale. Then, a raging inferno crazily appeared, sweeping through Nameless Snake Valley. The frenzied Fierce Flame, as if sentient, incinerated and drove out all the venomous creatures, one after another.
The terrifying might also caused the complexions of the few people rushing up from behind to change drastically.
This was especially true for Clements, the Clan Leader of the Walker family. Seeing this, his expression darkened slightly. He’s truly worthy of being a disciple of the Six Rings Tower, Gold. The power of the witchcraft he masters is formidable. He’s clearly only an intermediate-rank Wizard, yet the strength he unleashes is no weaker than a First Rank Late Stage Wizard. He knew Gold’s main focus in witchcraft wasn’t the Fire Element. This meant that even when Gold employed witchcraft he wasn’t skilled in, he could still pose a threat to him. Thank goodness! For several years, I’ve cultivated a friendship with him. I hope that after this matter ends, he’ll take in a junior of the Walker family as his disciple. Through that, our family can establish a connection with the Six Rings Tower. Only if someone from among our descendants could make their way to the Kaliem Continent and establish themselves there would they truly be considered to have made something of themselves...
"Gold, my friend," Clements approached with a smile, saying, "Your witchcraft is getting more and more powerful. I believe it won’t be long before you can become a Late Stage Wizard."
"Heh..." Gold chuckled. "If I get what’s inside, perhaps there’s some possibility."
"My Meditation Method is quite unique," Gold continued. "I heavily rely on resources; otherwise, I would have advanced to the Late Stage much earlier."
"Don’t worry," Clements said. "With no Petrification Skill from the transformed serpents to block us, our trip this time will definitely succeed. Half the gains will be yours."
"Haha..." Gold laughed loudly. "Good!"
Working together, the two pressed forward with increased momentum.
"Speaking of which..." Clements pondered. That Conni just now wasn’t bad either; on his own, he forced two transformed serpents to trigger their Petrification Skill. Otherwise, it wouldn’t have been this smooth.
"Hmm," Gold nodded.
Just now, both of them had witnessed Carl, shield in hand, charging and rampaging through the nest of venomous creatures, unmatched by any. The feeling was that the venomous creatures in the valley weren’t up to par. Only when they truly engaged in combat did they understand that there were quite a few First Order Creatures in the valley that even they had to deal with carefully.
In close combat, Legendary Knights are inherently stronger than Wizards, not to mention that person also cultivated two paths. I had never heard of this individual before... We were careless!
As one of the four giants of the Dream Market, Clements was indeed quite negligent to be so unfamiliar with the people within the market. It was somewhat derelict of his duties.
BANG!
A loud noise interrupted their thoughts.
Nina’s face was grim as she transformed into a Gale, battling a transformed serpent. Every attack aimed at its vital spots.
"Father!" Nina bit her teeth and growled low, "The beads on their heads contain Origin Power. If Harvey consumes them, he can achieve Legendary status!"
"Hmm." Clements nodded emotionlessly. "Be careful. I’ll go into the cave first."
At the same time, he transmitted his voice, "Don’t let Witch Lin return alive. Only by silencing her can our family’s reputation remain unharmed."
"Father!" Nina’s face turned pale. She looked at Clements, her father whom she had admired for years, in disbelief. Not only did he cause Conni’s death, but he also intends to kill Lin!
"It’s for the family!" Clements’s voice transmission was cold and severe. "Nina, I’m over one hundred and eighty years old and don’t have many years left. The things inside are prepared for you. Only if you become a One-Circle Late Stage Wizard can the family continue. All of this... is for you!"
His tone carried an inevitable frustration with her perceived inability to meet expectations. Nina had outstanding Wizard Talent but had been educated to be too soft-hearted, not understanding the importance of putting family interests first. Just like now. What mattered was what lay within the cave, yet she was thinking about Harvey. So what if Harvey became a Legendary Knight? Could one Legendary Knight alter the destiny of their family?
Fortunately, there was still time to teach her; it wasn’t too late yet! This trip could not only establish a friendship with Gold of the Six Rings Tower but also use Berni to get closer to the Pelo family. Although Nina didn’t like Berni, Clements favored their union more, as it was more beneficial for the family’s interests.
Everything was for the family!
"Miss Nina," Witch Lin’s voice came from not far away after Clements entered the cave. "I’ll help you hold off this transformed serpent. You go for the kill."
"..." Nina’s expression fluctuated. She hesitated for a moment before nodding and saying, "Okay!"
Lin, using her Bloodline Magic, transformed into a large, slender white fox and, with a pounce, pinned the transformed serpent.
"Do it!" Lin urged. "Quick!"
Nina floated in midair, a First Rank Late Stage potential Seal clutched in her hand, her eyes flickering as she looked down.
After a pause, she bit her lip and suddenly waved her hand downward, saying, "Lin, you’re not needed here anymore. Go back first. I’ll give you your payment after I return to the market."
BOOM!
A destructive halo emerged.
A hint of surprise flashed through the white fox’s eyes before it nodded gently and silently slipped away into the distance.
「Inside the cave.」
"Dark Followers are indeed here!"
Faced with the figures attacking from the darkness, Gold’s expression remained unchanged. With a light wave of his Magic Wand, several elemental shields appeared out of thin air, protecting him securely. Spiritual power drew an elemental vortex before him, and overlapping Magic Circuits materialized in the void. Under the influence of these circuits, the elements coalesced into points of light that burst forth like a relentless barrage of bullets. The destructive points of light swept in all directions, severing the strange creatures rushing from the darkness in half.
"Quick!" Gold shouted. "I’ll hold them off; you go get the items!"
"Alright." Clements didn’t hesitate. His figure blurred as he rushed deeper into the cave, his gaze soon falling on two peculiar plants.
The plants grew clinging to the rock walls, somewhat resembling vines but with lush leaves. The purplish-brown leaves dangled, their patterns resembling human cheeks. When the mountain wind blew, one could even hear a sound like crying.
Hmm! Clements grunted. This sound could actually affect a One-Circle Late Stage Wizard. He wasn’t surprised; instead, his face lit up with ecstasy. Such characteristics precisely indicated that the information was accurate. Magic belladonna? No! What grows here is the Second Order strange plant, the Ghost-faced Blood Vine!
Clements hesitated only briefly before lunging at one of the Ghost-faced Blood Vines, grabbing its tendrils. The tendrils of the Ghost-faced Blood Vine could be refined into Potions that increased spiritual power, but the real treasure... was the rootstock!
WHOOSH...
As he yanked forcefully, the rootstock buried deep in the ground was pulled out, and immediately a loud wail filled the cave. It was the rootstock of the Ghost-faced Blood Vine, coiled up, resembling a doll with a distorted face and covered in tentacles. Once exposed to the air, it began to wail loudly. The cries were earth-shattering, carrying a strange power that struck directly at the heart, causing even Clements to stiffen.
However, he was clearly prepared. He took a Seal from his person and pasted it on the doll’s face, and the cries instantly subsided. He then took out a massive ice coffin and carefully placed the entire Ghost-faced Blood Vine inside.
Cold was precisely the bane of the Ghost-faced Blood Vine. As long as the temperature was kept extremely low, the Ghost-faced Blood Vine would remain dormant and not awaken.
After putting away the ice coffin and carefully placing the second Ghost-faced Blood Vine inside, Clements finally breathed a sigh of relief. Taking out a spatial Witch Artifact, he stored the ice coffin and flashed towards the cave exit.
"I’ve got the items," he called out to Gold. "Let’s go!"
"Okay." Gold, smiling, flashed to follow.
Just as the two of them stepped out of the cave, at their most relaxed moment, Gold suddenly raised his hand and thrust.
PFFT!
A jet-black spike pierced Wizard Clements. It bypassed his Defensive Magic and Wizard Robe, running him cleanly through.
"You..." Clements’s body stiffened. He tremblingly turned his head, his face contorted in anger as he looked at Gold, and growled through clenched teeth, "Why?"
"No reason." Gold shrugged. "I simply don’t like you. Besides, why share with two when one can have it all?"
"Uncle!" Berni, who was nearby, saw this. His face turned pale as he roared and rushed over, his Spell glittering with Spirit Light.
Opportunity! A thought flashed in Clements’s mind. He endured the excruciating pain and retreated sharply, simultaneously raising his Magic Wand to cast a Spell.
But he saw Gold on the other side wearing a mocking smile, making no move. Hmm? Something isn’t right! He sharply came to his senses, only to see that the target of Berni’s Spell was not Gold, but himself.
BOOM!
The explosion sounded. The blinding Spirit Light nearly covered the entire area.
"Nina!" Clements, covered in blood, charged out of the chaos. He took out an object and tossed it far away, shouting, "I’ll hold them off! You take the items and run!"
"Father!" Nina, stunned by the sudden turn of events, stared blankly at the approaching object, forgetting to catch it.
"Run?" Berni, who had been rather silent, stepped out with a chuckle, saying, "Uncle, it’s not just Mr. Gold who’s here this time. My father is here too. You won’t be able to escape."
RUSTLE RUSTLE...
In the distance, the trees swayed as one after another, hidden presences revealed themselves. Several of them were unmistakably at the Official Wizard Realm! One aura was incredibly powerful, not at all weaker than Clements’s when he was unharmed, and very familiar: the Clan Leader of the Pelo family!
Clements’s complexion turned white. His already faint aura, like a flickering candle in the wind, nearly extinguished on the spot. It’s over!
At that moment.
"Who?" Gold’s face changed.
Suddenly, a shadow appeared in front of Nina. It reached out to catch the object Clements had thrown, then dashed away into the distance with a flicker.
"Conni!" Gold was stunned for a moment, then bellowed, "He’s actually still alive? Chase him! Get the items back!"
