With My System, I Can Even Tame Gods-Chapter 1099: More advanced research
In these different glass vats were all kinds of creatures.
There were some that Lin Fan recognized as well.
After all, he had already familiarized himself with the research that had been done in the labs on the cultivation continent.
While they weren't exactly the same, many of the labs shared research that was similar.
It seemed that this was the case as well with these labs on the magic continent.
Though when he looked more closely, he could tell that these experiments in the vats seemed more advanced than the ones that he had encountered previously. It was as if there was progress to these experiments.
With the way that research progressed, it seemed that this facility should have been here for a long time.
Or at the very least, this facility should have existed longer than the ones on the cultivation continent.
But if that was the case, why would Tucker have expanded to the cultivation continent in the first place?
No, it wasn't a matter of why he expanded since it could be understood that this kind of research required a lot of materials. The more bases, the more materials could be gathered from different places.
It was more of a matter of why he didn't stop him if he had the capability of doing so.
The more that Lin Fan thought about it, the more confused he felt.
But he kept himself from thinking too much about this as he focused on what the researcher was doing with the deers.
After leading these deers to this room filled with vats, the researcher opened up a few of the empty vats and let the deers climb in. The deers climbed in without any hesitation at all and just let themselves be put under.
It seemed that unlike the other research labs, the test subjects here had obedience trained into them.
There was no feral nature to them that they would attack anyone other than the ones that they were ordered to attack.
This certainly was an improvement on the creatures from the other research labs.
Once the researcher was done putting the deers in the vat, he walked around a bit to look at the other vats that were here before finally leaving this room.
Lin Fan and Sirius naturally followed behind this researcher when he left the room.
Though while they were following the researcher, Sirius was looking around anxiously as if he was worried about something. It really seemed like he was worried about where they were going and how they would find their way back.
"It's fine, I know the way." Lin Fan said with his spiritual sense.
Sirius looked relived when he heard this, but Lin Fan ignored him as he focused on the researcher.
That was because they had arrived at a door.
The moment that the researcher pushed it open, there were all kinds of sounds that came from it.
It wasn't normal sounds, it sounded like something that was almost inhuman.
But at the same time, it sounded like the sounds that a beast would make.
Looking past the researcher, we saw that this place seemed like some kind of arena.
There were several researchers that were all in this room and it didn't seem like they cared about the researcher that came in. That was because all of them were around the center stage and it seemed like they were watching something.
This something that they were watching was a fight between a few different beasts.
However, there wasn't anything normal about these beasts.
All of these beasts were ones that had been experimented on, so there were strange things that were coming out of their bodies.
Some of them had tentacles, some of them had wings, some of them had horns.
In short, there were many different things that were coming out of the bodies of these beasts that they were using to fight.
It seemed that all of them were using these things that they had gained from the experiments to fight with.
Lin Fan watched the beasts fight for a bit before slightly knitting his brows.
But instead of saying or doing anything, he moved forward so that he was behind the researchers that were watching the fight.
Though they were watching, it seemed that they weren't completely focused on the fight as they were looking at something. At the same time, it seemed like their hands were moving while they were watching.
When he came over, Lin Fan could see that they were writing something.
Looking down, he could see that they were taking notes on the beasts that were being made to fight.
From these notes, Lin Fan had an idea of what kind of experiments had been done and to what extent these experiments had progressed. From these notes, Lin Fan could tell that the experiments that had been done on this magic continent were more advanced than the experiments done on the cultivation continent.
He had read the notes that had been prepared on the research labs from the cultivation continent, so he already had a good idea of what the experiments were.
But from these notes, he was even more certain.
At the same time, Lin Fan could tell how much power these beasts possessed as they fought each other.
It was clear that whatever kind of experiments were being done here, they were progressing quite smoothly.
That was why Lin Fan was worried.
Depending on how far they progressed, it would be dangerous for him and the Mu Empire.
After all, he had already made an enemy of Tucker after taking down those research facilities in the Mu Empire.
If he were to bring the experiments that were on this magic continent to the cultivation continent…
While it wouldn't be a threat to the Five Great Sects, it would certainly be a threat to the Mu Empire.
Lin Fan could tell from the fighting that these beasts were already at the level of Qi Condensation Realm spirit beasts. There was no telling just how many of them were in this research facility, but he had a guess based on the room filled with glass vats from earlier.
This place really was a dangerous place.
"What if the Kalos Empire uses these beasts in their invasion later?" That was another thing that Lin Fan couldn't help thinking about.
Once he was done reading the notes, he turned to look at Sirius as if he was telling him that it was time to leave. But when he turned to look at Sirius, he found that there was a pained look on his face as he looked at the beasts that were fighting.
Lin Fan couldn't help raising a brow in confusion when he saw this, but he could also tell that there was something strange about the way that Sirius looked at the beasts.
It was almost as if he could understand the pain that they were in.
Sirius was a beastman, so to a certain extent, he should be able to understand what they were saying. He had already demonstrated this ability with the way that he led the beasts from Amy's dungeon.
Even if these beasts had been experimented on and modified like this, the base was still those beasts.
In that case, Sirius should understand what they were saying and feel the pain in their voices.
It really seemed like he wanted to do something to help those beasts that were in the arena fighting each other.
So before he could do anything, Lin Fan grabbed him by the shoulder and said to him, "It's time to go. Don't do anything unnecessary."
That was when Sirius snapped out of his daze and looked back at Lin Fan.
Lin Fan could see the trace of hesitation that was in Sirius' eyes when he looked at him, but he made sure that he understood.
After all, it was just the two of them in this place that they didn't know the full gist of. At the same time, this was a place that was backed by the Kalos Empire.
From the things that he had seen, Lin Fan knew that it wasn't just a casual backing.
The Kalos Empire actually backed this research facility quite a bit based on the number of things that they sent here. So it was only natural that they would station people here to make sure that this research facility was secure as well.
That meant that there was no telling what kind of expert was here.
This place was different from the research facilities in the Mu Empire.
The Kalos Empire was an empire that could even rival one of the Five Great Sects after all.
So there was no way that they would get out of this place unscathed if they were to do something.
If Lin Fan were to come back without Sirius, then it would be hard to explain what happened to Amy.
So in the end, Sirius was dragged away by Lin Fan while he was still watching the beasts fight.
It really seemed like he was thinking of a way to save them.
Though Lin Fan dragged him away, it wasn't as if he was heading to the exit.
There was no way out for them since they had followed the deers in.
For them to leave, they had to wait until someone else left this place and followed them.
As such, Lin Fan dragged Sirius deeper into the research facility to see what else he would be able to find in this place.
After all, the more information, the better.
