With Rokuko taking care of the inn and the dungeon, that freed up Lin Fan to explore the magic continent as he pleased.

Though it wasn't as if he could leave for too long since there were still things that he had to do at the dungeon.

So Lin Fan could only head to one of the nearby villages to see if there was anything worth getting from these places.

When he arrived in the village, there was a strange look that was on Lin Fan's face.

After all, there was a familiar scene that appeared in front of him.

With the way that the village was laid out, it really was hard for him to see anything else.

Only for those that lived on the magic continent, this village was nothing more than a normal village.

But for Lin Fan who came from a different world…

When he saw the village…when he saw the small shop, the blacksmith, the bar, the inn, and the Adventurer's Guild, there was only one thing that he could think of.

"Is this a beginner village?"

After all, this seemed just like one of the beginner villages that he had seen countless times in his RPG games. Down to the very last detail, it really seemed like the village that any new adventurer would start in.

This was the magic continent and it was a world that was just like the world of his RPG games.

It was just that when he saw the village like this…it really made Lin Fan feel strange.

But because he was just standing there in the middle of the road, it didn't take long for people to start staring at him.

"Uncle, what are you doing?"

Lin Fan snapped back from his daze when he heard this and he looked down to see a few kids looking at him with curious looks.

Though there was a trace of bitterness that was in his eyes when he processed what they said.

"Uncle? I'm still a big brother." That was what he wanted to say, but he didn't say it in the end.

After all, these were just kids.

For them, anyone that was an adult would be considered an uncle.

So with a cough to clear his throat, Lin Fan said, "I'm fine. I was just thinking about something."

The kids all raised a brow and looked at Lin Fan as if they were wondering if there was something wrong with him. However, it wasn't as if kids had a long attention span in the first place.

Seeing that Lin Fan wasn't going to do anything else, it was as if they lost interest in him as they went off playing as before.

Lin Fan just shook his head with a faint smile as he watched them heading off like this before turning his attention to the Adventurer's Guild. After looking at it for a bit, he started heading in the direction of the Adventurer's Guild.

When he came in, he found that there wasn't anyone there.

This place almost seemed like it was completely abandoned with how there was no one here.

But it did have the appearance of a proper Adventurer's Guild with the counter and the quest board on the side.

A minute after he walked in, there was a head that poked out from behind the counter.

This was a girl with braids and glasses that had a surprised look as she looked at Lin Fan standing at the entrance of the guild. With the way that she was looking at him, it was almost as if she was wondering what he was doing there.

But it didn't take long for her to realize that he was here on business.

"An adventurer?" The girl with glasses asked in a surprised voice.

Lin Fan didn't say anything as he just gave a simple nod in response.

The girl with glasses looked even more surprised before she quickly said, "Please come in and have a look at our request board. If there's anything that you need, please ask me anything that you need."

Though when she tried to act like a proper receptionist for this Adventurer's Guild, she actually started messing up even more.

As she tried to show him the board, she knocked over some of the papers that had been in front of her. When she tried to grab the papers, she just stubbed her toe and fell over the receptionist desk.

It seemed that at this rate, she might really seriously injure herself.

So Lin Fan just raised his hand and said, "It's fine, I'll just take a look by myself. You don't have to show me around, it's actually quite self explanatory what this place is."

The girl with glasses looked surprised at first, but then she gave a slow nod.

After all, it wasn't as if this Adventurer's Guild branch was that complicated in the first place. It was just a small branch in the middle of nowhere, so there wasn't that much that was here.

Lin Fan walked over to the board and there was a faint smile that appeared on his face as he looked at the request.

It wasn't that these requests were anything special, rather it was because of how normal they were that this smile appeared on his face.

These were requests that matched the level of this town, which was why Lin Fan couldn't help finding it a bit interesting.

But it seemed like the girl with glasses had the wrong idea when she saw this smile on Lin Fan's face.

Seeing him smile like this, she quickly said, "If there's anything that you aren't satisfied with, I can help you. There are other higher grade requests that are available if you want."

It wasn't as if she would offer this to anyone that walked in, it was just that this girl with glasses could tell that Lin Fan wasn't normal. She was actually someone that had quite the eye for adventurers which was why she worked at this front desk.

She could easily tell that there was this powerful feeling coming from Lin Fan, showing that he was a powerful person.

Though she had no idea just how strong he was.

In the end, Lin Fan grabbed one of the pieces of paper that were hanging on the board and went over to the desk before putting it down with his adventurer license.

The moment that she saw his license, the eyes of the girl with braids popped out.

She had to look at the license again to make sure that she wasn't making a mistake before looking up at Lin Fan with a strange look on her face. After all, it was just too hard for her to believe that what she was seeing was correct.

This license said that Lin Fan was only a D Rank Adventurer, but she couldn't believe that since the feeling that he gave her was like that of an A Rank Adventurer. No, she even believed that Lin Fan had the makings of a S Rank Adventurer with the aura that he gave off.

Though it wasn't as if she had ever seen a S Rank Adventurer, let alone an A Rank Adventurer before.

It wasn't as if there was anything for her to compare to since she didn't have this experience.

Seeing that the girl with glasses wasn't doing anything, Lin Fan gave a cough before saying, "Can you help me register this mission?"

The girl in glasses was pulled back from her daze when she heard this and she quickly gave a nod when she realized her mistake. It didn't take her long to register since this was a simple form and then she handed the license back to Lin Fan.

Though before he left, she couldn't help asking, "Are you really just a D Rank Adventurer?"

Lin Fan said with a nod and a smile, "That's right."

When he left, the girl with glasses was just left there standing with a dazed look on her face. At the same time, there was this clear look of disbelief that was on her face as well as she didn't believe what he said.

When night came, she was even more certain of this.

"Can you help me complete this mission?" Lin Fan asked when he came back.

The girl with glasses naturally didn't forget about Lin Fan since he had left a deep impression on her. But the moment that she saw the things that he took out, she couldn't help looking at him with a shocked look.

"How did you kill all of these goblins?"

The mission that Lin Fan took was to exterminate goblins, but it was just for ten goblins. Though it was a mission that could be repeated, so it didn't matter if he brought the ears of more than just ten goblins.

Only this large bag that was on the desk clearly held much more than ten goblin ears.

It looked like it held even more than a hundred goblin ears.

Lin Fan just scratched his face before saying, "I was lucky and bumped into a goblin settlement, so I just took care of them all."

The girl with glasses looked at Lin Fan with a strange look for a long time before slowly saying, "This isn't something that I can decide on my own. I'll go get the guild master and have him decide."

Lin Fan just gave a simple nod in response.

"I knew that he wasn't just a simple D Rank Adventurer, there has to be another story!" The girl with glasses thought as she ran off.
