With My System, I Can Even Tame Gods-Chapter 1008: Not me
Haku had been hiding Rokuko and Xiao Bai during the time that the Star Tower group had been in Dungeon City.
During this time, it seemed that they had been having quite a bit of fun with how this space had changed.
There were all kinds of different things that had been bought and filled this place.
It seemed that Haku had spared no expense in spoiling both Rokuko who she took as a little sister and Xiao Bai who she took as her nephew. The amount that she spent on the things in this place was at least seven digits…
But that was her right to spend that amount if she could afford it.
She worked hard to earn her DP, so she was free to spend it however she wanted.
But when Lin Fan came to this space, it seemed that she wasn’t happy to see him.
After all, she knew that there was only one reason that he would come to this place.
"Papa!" Xiao Bai was the one that broke the silence by running over with a smile on his face. Without any hesitation, he jumped off the ground and flew over to hit Lin Fan in the stomach.
Xiao Bai was growing as a pseudo dungeon core, especially since Haku had been spoiling him during this time. She had been feeding him quite a few elixirs, which was why he was stronger than before.
But that didn’t mean that Lin Fan had stopped growing.
If it had been the same him as before, then he might have had the wind knocked out of him by Xiao Bai.
However, absorbing the golden yuanbao had increased not only his cultivation, but also the power of his physique. So Lin Fan was able to catch Xiao Bai without a problem and hold him.
Though doing this did draw aggro from Haku.
Rokuko also came over, but she was more restrained than Xiao Bai.
She had really changed since Xiao Bai had been ’born’ from her.
She was becoming more gentle and more like a mother.
After helping Lin Fan by taking Xiao Bai away from him, she asked, "Has everything been settled?"
Rokuko didn’t even need to ask about the situation outside. She knew that if Lin Fan was here, it must have meant that everything was settled and it was time to head back.
Lin Fan gave a nod, but he didn’t say anything as he turned to look at Haku.
Haku was surprised to see him looking at her like this, but she glared back at him before saying, "What is it?"
Lin Fan hesitated for a moment as he didn’t know what to say, but he didn’t get to say anything as Rokuko suddenly came forward to grab him by the shoulder. When he looked down at her, he found that she was looking at him with a scary look.
Like the way that one would look at their husband when they became interested in one’s sister.
There was a bitter smile that appeared on Lin Fan’s face when he saw this before saying, "It’s not like that, I just have something that I want to ask her."
Rokuko narrowed her eyes to look at him as if she didn’t believe him, but seeing that Lin Fan didn’t back down and didn’t panic, she eventually gave a nod and moved back with Xiao Bai.
Xiao Bai looked like he wanted to play more, but he held himself back when he felt the serious atmosphere in the air.
Turning back to Haku, Lin Fan took a deep breath and asked, "Are you planning an invasion?"
Rokuko was surprised to hear this before turning to look at Haku with a worried look. There was also a trace of betrayal that seemed to fill her eyes when she heard this.

However, it didn’t seem like Haku panicked when she heard this.
At the same time, it didn’t seem like she was confused by what he said.
There was just a faint smile that appeared on her lips as she looked right back at him with a calm look in her eyes. After looking at him for a bit, she asked, "So how much do you know?"
Lin Fan immediately narrowed his eyes, but he didn’t back down since he knew that there was nowhere to go here.
Instead, he was curious why Haku would admit something like this.
There was nothing to gain from admitting this in front of Rokuko like this unless there was more to the story.
Rokuko also had a look on her face that showed that she was thinking the same thing, so she was just waiting to see what Haku had to say.
Haku didn’t say anything at first as she continued looking at them with this smile on her face. The way that she just looked at them, it was almost as if she was waiting to see what their reaction would be.
In the end, seeing that they didn’t say anything, Haku gave a shrug before saying, "It’s not as if I’m a part of that. I don’t think that there’s a point in trying to invade other continents when there’s plenty of resources on our own continent. But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t those that have these thoughts."
Rokuko was the first one to relax her guard after hearing this.
It seemed that she completely believed what Haku said even though there was no proof of this.
But seeing that she relaxed her guard like this, it would be awkward if Lin Fan still kept his guard up.
So he relaxed his guard a bit as well, though not enough that he wouldn’t be able to do anything. He was ready to fight back if things went wrong, even though there wasn’t really the space to fight here.
"Then what can you tell us about the invaders?" He calmly asked Haku.
"It’s not the dungeon cores. None of us have anything to gain from attacking the other continents."
"Then how do you know about the invaders?"
"You should know the kind of influence that us dungeon cores have on the magic continent. This kind of information is easy for us to obtain if we really wanted to. In fact, it’s easy for me to obtain alone since I’m the one in charge of one of the largest empires on the magic continent." Haku said with a proud smile.
Lin Fan had heard about this before, but he couldn’t help feeling strange when he heard her bragging about it like this.
Still, if she was willing to talk…
"Then who is it? Who are the ones that are leading the invaders?" He asked though he didn’t really have any hope of getting an answer.
"It’s a kingdom alliance on the west side of the magic continent." Haku actually answered to his surprise.
But then…

"I’m not telling you anymore than this. You should try to figure this out on your own or at least pay a price if you want more information." Haku said in a decisive tone, as if nothing would move her.
"A price?" Lin Fan slowly asked.
Haku turned to look at Rokuko and Xiao Bai before saying, "Let’s say that you let them stay here for a bit longer. I’m sure that with the situation back home, it would be safer for them if they were to stay here."
Lin Fan was surprised to hear this.
He wasn’t a fool, he knew exactly what Haku was implying with this.
Though it seemed like she was doing it to satisfy her own selfish desires, what she was really doing was giving another option to keep Rokuko and Xiao Bai safe. If they were to remain in this place, they would be in a safe place if the other continents invaded.
So Lin Fan couldn’t help being a bit moved when he heard this.
But in the end, it was Rokuko who declined this.
"If anything happens, I want to be with him." She said in a firm voice.
Once she said that, there really wasn’t anything else to discuss. It seemed that she had already had enough of being trapped in here.
She didn’t have a choice before because of the Star Tower group, but it was different now that the Star Tower group was gone.
And since Rokuko was planning to leave, that meant that Xiao Bai was also leaving.
Haku revealed a trace of dismay when she heard this, but she didn’t stop her.
Since this was a decision that Rokuko made, it wasn’t as if she could stop her even if she wanted to. The only thing that she could do was accept the decision that Rokuko made.
However, that didn’t mean that she would give up any more information.
She had her pride and it wasn’t as if she would give that information that easily.
Instead, she said, "If you’re ever in danger, you can contact me about another dungeon war. I’ll open up this negotiation space at any time and keep you safe." After a pause, she turned to look at Lin Fan to add, "Including you."
Haku knew how important Lin Fan was to Rokuko and Xiao Bai since she had spent enough time with them. She had seen the way that they worried about him, so it wasn’t as if she could ignore his existence.
Lin Fan revealed a faint smile when he heard this, but he didn’t get to say anything else as Haku directly closed the space and sent them back.
