Chapter 3: <Chapter 2>

Kail enjoyed what laid in front of him.

Messy black straight hair, unusual black eyes, red lips…

She looked blank like a deer caught by hunger, but he could see the hurt and scars she must’ve endured for a very long time in her eyes.

As he continued to study Silje, Kail’s expression changed slowly. Suddenly, Kail looked curious as he tilted his head to his side. She was tall for an Asian, 175 centimeters, and her eyes were empty yet full of emotions.

His curious stare quickly changed to that of annoyance. He glared at Silje’s long legs. She was wearing a pair of long pants, but she bit her lips bitterly as she could read his thoughts. It looked like he wanted her to take her clothes off and make her look like a fool in front of the entire school.

Kail’s posse continued to yell.

Felicien asked, “Kail, are you going to just let her go like that?”

“I saw on TV that some old woman died from being hit by a person who fell from a building. Apparently that woman’s body broke into pieces because of the trauma. You can’t let that girl get away with this. How dare she fall onto our leader?”

Kail’s expression started to change slowly again. He must’ve finally started to feel the effect of catching her from the third floor. He kept shaking his left hand as if it was bothering him.

Silje was so afraid that she felt nauseous. If he hurt his arm because of her, the cruel king of the school wasn’t going to leave her alone.

Unfortunately, there was nowhere for her to run. Silje was surrounded by Kail’s posse.

Just then, Kail slowly walked towards her. This was it. There was no way to avoid this. Silje tightly shut her eyes and blinked for the last time.

When she looked up, she saw Kail’s green eyes. He looked as if he had made his decision. He got very close to her and whispered to her ear. She could feel his hot breath on her neck.

“Get lost. Svinne hen. If I see you again, I will kill you.”

She thought her heart was going to stop.

It was short but effective.

It was the scariest threat she had ever heard. No wonder he was called the king of the school.

Despite her fear, she looked straight into Kail’s eyes. She still had her pride after all.

If she showed any weakness now when everyone, including her bullies, was watching, she would never be freed from them. Silje knew that the bullying would get even worse.

She couldn’t let that happen. The whole point of her jumping off the building was to escape her tormentors.

Her body shook visibly, but she continued to hold her ground. After a few seconds of staring at her, Kail walked away as if nothing happened.

His posse, including Gunhild and Felicien, followed him as they sneered at her.

“You better be thankful that it’s your lucky day today. I can’t believe Kail didn’t kill you just now.”

“Stupid girl! How dare a smelly monkey come near our leader?”

She meant to remain still. She just fell from a building so she didn’t feel well. She felt nauseous and dizzy as if she just got off from a roller coaster.

But she couldn’t take it anymore. Their taunts, their threats… She was fed up.

Silje turned around to face them straight in the faces and screamed, “Asian monkey? If you hate my smell so much, stop bullying me and get lost, Gunhild!”

Everyone became speechless at her outburst. When the silence continued, Silje added clearly and confidently, “Why don’t you just lick Kail’s shoes? If you love him so much, perhaps you don’t mind the smell of his feet!”

Suddenly, everyone started to laugh.

“Hahaha!”

Gunhild flushed red in embarrassment and she screamed, “Shut up everyone! Shut up or I will kill you all!”

Just then, Silje couldn’t believe her ears.

“Haha…..”

A low laugh.

Shockingly, it was coming from the most feared figure in the school. The cruel king himself was laughing out loud. He laughed at her sarcastic comment against Gunhild.

This wasn’t a dream. It was unmistakable. He was the tallest person in the group and he was very visible with his arms crossed standing dangerously nearby.

He continued to laugh quietly as he looked at Silje. His smile looked twisted for some reason. It looked like he found her to be strange but amusing. Of course, his eyes quickly turned cold.

Kail’s group slowly made their way to surround Silje. She was in a dangerous situation again, but she didn’t regret what she had done. She might die here today, but it felt great that she got to say something.

“Hey, you crazy b*tch! Did the Asian monkey lose her mind after falling from the building? What the hell did you say?”

Panting and blushing, Gunhild raised a hand to hit Silje.

Just then, a cold voice taunted, “How long is it going to take you to control a mere girl? If you don’t think you can get her, don’t even bother.”

It was the king himself.

When Kail said these words, his group looked at each other awkwardly before following Kail who was already walking away from the scene. Of course, they didn’t forget to threaten the onlookers as they left.

“What the hell are you looking at! Get lost!”

And just like that, all the students left the scene quickly.

After everyone left, Silje was alone. No one was there to taunt her anymore but she still couldn’t move for a while.

She felt weak, and she could barely stand.

Silje sighed quietly.

Was she safe now? Was she really still alive?

She massaged her head as she realized that they were right. Indeed, she was very lucky.

However, she knew this wasn’t the end. She had annoyed the wolf king. This was definitely not the end.
