Who Let Him Cultivate?!-Chapter 1333 - 1332: Lu Yang’s Former Residence
Chapter 1333: Chapter 1332: Lu Yang’s Former Residence
In the cold, desolate universe, a streak of shuttle light shattered the tranquility, speeding faster than any spacecraft as space twisted around the light, piloted by Lu Yang on the Black Canopy Boat.
The journey home was not boring, with Immortal Fairy by his side.
As they approached Blue Star, Lu Yang grew increasingly anxious and restless; his prior missions to the Candle Sky Civilization to deal with Gu Yu and to the Spirit Stone Planet to retrieve his diary also stemmed from this reason.
Otherwise, Lu Yang could have simply visited Blue Star before addressing these matters.
"Is that your hometown?" Immortal Fairy’s voice snapped Lu Yang out of his thoughts.
The azure planet slowly rotated in the universe, like a dazzling gem in the vast starry sky, dreamy and fantastical. freёnovelkiss.com
Lu Yang swiftly pulled on the Black Canopy Boat, nearly flying past Earth.
The Black Canopy Boat disengaged from light speed and leap mode, appearing out of nowhere. This scene was caught by a satellite, astonishing the old experts and professors at the space agency, almost popping their eyes out.
"Good heavens, what did I see?"
"Did ancient people travel the universe in small boats?"
The space agency erupted in exclamations, thrown into complete disarray. Only then did Lu Yang notice the nearby satellite and realize his recklessness. He stowed away the Black Canopy Boat and leaped into Earth’s atmosphere alone.
"Quick, switch the view, track that humanoid creature’s movements!" the old experts in the space agency shouted, startling their apprentices who had never heard their master’s voice raised so loud.
But soon, they lost track of Lu Yang, to their immense frustration.
Lu Yang darted through the clouds, his descent accelerating like a shooting star across the sky, then slowing down and landing on an airplane.
He sat cross-legged on the exterior of the plane, looking down at the beautiful rivers, mountains, and landscape below, his mind filled with myriad thoughts.
After hitching a ride on the jet stream, Lu Yang jumped off the plane before it landed, and performed a small magic skill, changing his ancient attire into Blue Star’s style.
Looking at the crowd on the streets and the familiar style of buildings and skyscrapers, Lu Yang felt dazed for a moment, as if he had returned to Blue Star before the zombie crisis erupted.
After surviving the zombie crisis, where only a fraction of people survived, and through decades of effort, Blue Star was finally restored to its former state.
Only a small number of people in the Candle Sky Civilization knew of Blue Star’s existence, and given the great distance and lack of worthy conquest value, coupled with Gu Yu’s fear of Blue Star and his decision to seal most of Blue Star’s information before his retirement, the Candle Sky Civilization ceased sending people to Blue Star after the zombie crisis ended.
Lu Yang wandered the streets, somewhat distracted.
Before coming to Blue Star, he sensed that once there, he would meet many people and do many things. Yet, upon arrival, he found himself at a loss, not knowing what to do.
This city was not a random choice. In his memory, this place used to be a safety zone he established, protecting countless survivors.
As time passed, those familiar wasteland structures were gone, and his parents had passed away before the zombie crisis, making him feel like an outsider here.
Following his vague memory, he stopped in front of what used to be his house and softly uttered the name of the new building.
"Doomsday History Museum?"
"Little Yang, is this your home?" Immortal Fairy curiously popped out, invisible to others anyway.
Lu Yang nodded awkwardly: "It should be."
He sneaked past the ticket office and walked into the museum.
Today is a weekday, yet there are still many visitors here, great-grandparents holding their grandchildren’s hands, telling them about that tough and dangerous period.
The grandparent and grandchild duo stopped in front of a large sign: "Look at this Peace Hospital, the zombie virus that brought the world to its knees originated from this hospital."
Peace Hospital had been demolished long ago, leaving only a sign and some ruins at the entrance as a historic lesson, to serve as a wake-up call for future generations.
"That time was really dangerous, grandpa survived thanks to General Lu." The great-grandfather was deeply moved; out of options and starving, he was taken in by the safe zone, which allowed him to survive until now.
During the doomsday era, Lu Yang organized a zombie legion, and people got used to calling him General Lu.
Every time he thought back to those scenes, he wanted to thank Lu Yang face to face, to express gratitude for saving his life, but unfortunately, that was impossible now. Commander Lu fought for Blue Star, died on an alien planet, and his remains were lost.
Lu Yang watched the old man for a while, gently shook his head, and couldn’t remember who he was; too many people had been rescued in the safe zone.
Several teachers were leading a group of elementary school students to visit the Doomsday History Museum, talking about that period of history very familiar to Lu Yang.
Lu Yang found his home, which had become a famous landmark, with the furniture setup and books arranged just as they used to be, although none were the original items.
There was a commotion in the crowd nearby, it seemed a VIP was coming to clear the area, but Lu Yang just stood in front of his former home, hands behind his back, with bodyguards walking back and forth behind him, as if he were invisible.
A wrinkled old woman hunched over, trembling with each step on her cane, refusing anyone’s help. Her entourage watched nervously, fearing she might fall, wondering how they would explain it to their superiors.
This VIP had an astonishing background; no one on Blue Star had a more legendary existence than her.
As a young woman, she was a doctor who investigated the source of the zombie virus in the danger zones and was subsequently rescued by General Lu. Although she didn’t uncover the source of the virus, she founded the safe zones with General Lu and even took over command of the safe zones. General Lu even handed over the zombie army to her.
During the defense of Blue Star, she repeatedly performed heroic deeds. After General Lu led several Corpse Kings on an expedition to another planet, when zombies on Blue Star became uncontrollable, she organized the military, suppressed the zombies, united the seven major safe zones, and led the reconstruction after the disaster.
At the height of her power, she decisively stepped back to let others lead.
The safe zone was not her hometown, but she chose to stay in the safe zones after retirement and visited the Doomsday History Museum periodically.
Her entourage felt a pang of sadness watching her struggle to walk; her illness was worsening, and this might be her last visit to the museum.
The dignitary shakily made her way toward Lu Yang’s former home.
The entourage, seeing a young man still standing in front of Lu Yang’s home, frowned deeply, cursing the bodyguards for their negligence; if anything happened to the dignitary, the spit from all over the world would drown them, the negligent staff.
The dignitary saw the young man’s back, her eyes clouded; she was too old, gravely ill, and her mind was no longer clear. For a moment, she thought the young man overlapped with the image of someone she longed for, and couldn’t help but call out:
"Lu Yang, is it you?"
The young man turned around, revealing a face she didn’t recognize. The dignitary shook her head and chuckled bitterly, feeling her age. The will of Blue Star had said Lu Yang had self-detonated; how could he possibly appear here?
Seeing the elderly dignitary, the young man smiled warmly.
"Doctor, long time no see."
