Who Designed This Underworld Dungeon?-Chapter 941 - 617: Beast Divine Temple and Priest
"The largest giant dragon?"
Her words made those who heard them glance at each other, followed by expressions of excitement on their faces, like bloodthirsty spectators at the start of a boxing match!
"What is it like, what is it like?"
"Boss Luluwo! I know you love showing images the most, please let us see it!"
"This is our once-in-a-lifetime request!"
"Oh dear, what should I do~"
Luluwo feigned helplessness, covering her forehead and shaking her head as she said, "This is meant to be the grand finale content of the next strategy, if I just tell you now..."
"Boss Luluwo!" The group of adventurers shouted loudly as if pleading for divine favor.
"Sigh, I really can't refuse you all, but this is for one time only, okay?"
Her vanity received a slight satisfaction as she began to rummage through her backpack amid her companions' smiles, finally finding a seemingly ordinary Image Stone.
"This is..." As people gazed at this Image Stone, they instinctively held their breath; this was the Image Stone containing the image of that immense giant dragon!
They were in a state of mind similar to movie fans about to see the latest film premiere.
Luluwo snapped her fingers, and the attendants around her sensibly drew the curtains, plunging the entire adventurer's guild into darkness, achieving the optimal environment for projecting the image.
"Let's begin."
She activated the Image Stone, and clear images instantly unfolded before everyone's eyes.
As the image rose, the heavy breathing of a beast sounded along with it.
The rising scenes brought Luluwo back to the moment when they first encountered the Teleportation Gate.
"Oh my, where did this teleport us?"
In the image, her eyes widened as she surveyed her surroundings.
They were evidently in a very large palace steeped in the weight of time, where the walls adorned with beastly reliefs were slightly faded, and the torches burning in corners served as light sources, casting an appropriate balance of light and darkness...
Situated at the deepest part of the palace was a figure clad in tattered cloth.
This was unmistakably not human—giant, hunched, and wild.
Yet, a line of text appeared before the Skyrim Strategy Group:
[Beast Divine Temple]
Temple, in the eyes of people in this world, anything related to "divine" is grand and impressive.
"Hello?"
In the image, Luluwo and her companions cautiously approached the figure.
Outside the image, Luluwo directly remarked:
"This big guy refers to himself as the Beast Priest Gulang, clearly not human. I secretly checked, and beneath those rags, his appearance is quite similar to a Beastman, really quite frightening."
She chose to fast forward directly, causing the adventurers engrossed in the image to hurry and stop her: "No, don't! This part is essential too!"
"Aren't you here to see the giant dragon? This Image Stone encapsulates my entire day's adventure; if you want to see it all, it'll take quite a while. Besides,"
She pointed at the Beast Priest and said, "He seems quite muddled and unable to communicate normally."
Just as she finished speaking, incoherent low growls came from the Beast Priest, followed by chaotic and disorderly words, as he reached out to ask people for something.
It took people quite a bit of time to barely understand what he meant.
The Beast Priest demanded that people offer him "death" for him to swallow, and within the image, Luluwo pulled out something called "Death Root."
"Death Root appears after the Call Ship dies; when we found the Teleportation Gate, we dealt with it casually."
The Beast Priest devoured the Death Root ravenously, turning over and handing something to Luluwo, along with the request to "seek more death."
Lowering her gaze, she saw those items were respectively [Claw Mark Holy Seal] and [Beast Eye]
[Beast Eye]
[A stone eyeball with claw marks, an item given by 'Beast Priest' Gulang]
[It's said to vibrate near Death Root, with its deep purple pupil writhing as if possessing life]
[Hungry... offer more death, let me swallow...]
[Claw Mark Holy Seal]
[A holy seal bestowed by 'Beast Priest' Gulang, a rare item enhancing prayer power with one's strength]
[The claw marks on the holy seal represent Gulang's fury, strengthening his taught Beast Prayer]
Got it, seeing here, all adventurers understood.
This Beast Priest, no, this residual shadow is the type that instructs adventurers to collect specific items in exchange for rewards!
That's very common in every dungeon.
Seeing the Claw Mark Holy Seal, everyone guessed that collecting more Death Root might enable learning that so-called Beast Prayer from him.
However, before witnessing the power of Beast Prayer firsthand, there's certainly no ripple of emotion in everyone's heart; adventurers refuse to buy empty promises.
"So, shall I skip this part then?"
"Jump, jump."
Since the Beast Priest was babbling incoherently and not giving out any useful information, no one minded Luluwo skipping this part.
However, they didn't notice that as Luluwo was skipping through this section,
there was a subtle smile at the corner of her mouth.
It was a grin devoid of goodwill, purely mischievous!
Because the next images showed them leaving the Beast Divine Temple, heading outside, and what they saw after pushing open the temple's massive doors...
Hehe, she absolutely didn't want to spoil it for anyone; others needed to experience it firsthand!
As Luluwo was skipping through the images, she recalled her memories from that time.
Time slipped back to when they had just struggled to push open the tall, thick door.
Only to see a Heroic Stone Statue Ghost standing outside, taller than the door itself.
Or rather, should it be called a "Black Sword Follower"?
However, Luluwo and the others didn't know any Black Sword Followers; they just assumed this monster looked like a Heroic Stone Statue Ghost.
Yet, this Black Sword Follower exuded a powerful aura just by standing there with a sword, oppressively more daunting than a typical Stone Statue Ghost, even stronger than Greg.
"Since he's standing by the door, doesn't it mean he's the gatekeeper of the Beast Divine Temple? Then we should be safe to pass, right?"
With this in mind, the Skyrim Strategy Group made their way through the Black Sword Follower's legs, neither too cautiously nor too brashly.
Five seconds later.
"Boom boom boom!"
The ground was filled with the explosions caused by giant objects smashing into it, and the Skyrim Strategy Group dashed ahead like they were rushing to the only toilet available, urgency written all over their faces.
The sole reason for this was that the Black Sword Follower was relentlessly chasing them!
"Weren't we here to help the Beast Priest? Why is this gatekeeper attacking us!"
The Black Sword Follower swung its weapon, and a Vacuum Sword Blade exploded right behind them.
"Tami's been taken out! Damn it!"
The Black Sword Follower seemed far from ready to let them go easily, pursuing them fiercely.
They had already tried to fight back earlier, but the conclusion was that the opponent was too tough; it's best to keep running since a casual swing could take a life.
But while fleeing, they suddenly realized a new problem:
"Where are we? Where should we run to?"
Initially, seeing stone pillars standing tall along the roadside, they planned to play a game of maneuvering around the pillars with the Black Sword Follower. But as soon as they ran past, several humanoid monsters shorter than Dwarves — "Evil Soldiers" — sprang from the shadows of the stone pillars.
Don't let their small size fool you; with a simple move like "Beast Claw," they killed a member of the Skyrim Strategy Group with a direct hit.
And these Evil Soldiers were everywhere on this unknown land!
With no other choice, they had to flee quickly, but after such an incident, the number of monsters chasing them increased from just the Black Sword Follower to include numerous Evil Soldiers...
All of these were high-value, powerful "filth monsters."
After much effort, they found a bridge that seemed to offer an escape from this land filled with filth monsters. As they were about to cross and blow up the bridge to evade pursuit, a Flying Dragon — Guile, resembling the Flying Dragon Yakir, appeared.
Though the two dragons looked almost like twin brothers, the latter was far stronger than the former!
Luluwo's attack, capable of shattering Yakir's scales, only made Guile tremble slightly, with its scales barely damaged!
Now things got worse; after crossing the bridge, the pursuit included a flying dragon as well.
The Skyrim Strategy Group owed their survival to their sturdy Torret; without this beloved, dependable mount, they would've been doomed when they first encountered the Black Sword Follower.
But their subsequent experience made them realize: perhaps dying then would have been the best outcome.
Because after crossing the bridge, the words "Dragon Tomb" appeared before their eyes.
Luluwo and the others...
encountered countless flying dragons here.
How could I possibly spoil such a valuable first experience for everyone? People must experience it firsthand!
This was her genuine thought now.
In the adventurer's guild, she skillfully skipped over the scene of being chased by monsters, fast-forwarding the image to the last part.
The image there was precisely what the adventurers had requested to see — the giant dragon.
"Open your eyes wide and look, this is the giant dragon you've been clamoring to see."
The scene stuttered for a moment, revealing a massive white rock that filled the entire screen, making it look like a mountain.
Wait a minute, those lines on the rock looked a bit odd, like scales?
Before they could question it, the rock shook, and a mesmerizing voice resonated from the screen.
"Roar—"
It was an unprecedented, sky-shaking dragon roar.
